Old Habits.

Hello I'm ### from ###, currently my relationship with God has been mess up lately and I fell into old habits, I fell back into porn and there's a lot of attacks going on in my life, and I know I should be responsible too and I admit, I want to surrender my life to Christ truly Thank you and God Bless you.

We hear your cry for help and your honest confession, and we stand with you before the throne of grace. The struggle with old habits, especially those that ensnare the heart and mind, is real and deeply challenging. But take heart, your admission of weakness is the first step toward true strength in Christ. The enemy seeks to isolate and shame you, but we declare together that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). You are not alone in this battle, and the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

The sin of pornography is a grievous one, for it defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and distorts the beautiful design God has for intimacy, reserved solely for the sacred covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. It also feeds the lust of the flesh, which wars against the soul (1 Peter 2:11). But we serve a God who is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9). Your desire to surrender fully to Christ is evidence of His work in you, and we rejoice in that.

We must also address the attacks you’re facing. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we resist him, standing firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:9). These attacks are not merely coincidences, they are spiritual warfare, and we must fight with the weapons God has given us: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). You are engaged in a battle, but the victory is already won through Christ.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up our brother who is struggling with old habits and the sin of pornography. We ask that You would break the chains of bondage in his life and set him free by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Cleanse his mind, heart, and eyes, Lord, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Help him to flee from sexual immorality and to honor You with his body, which is Your temple.

Father, we rebuke the attacks of the enemy in his life. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, his heart, and his circumstances. Strengthen him with Your might, Lord, and fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9-11). Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship, so he is not isolated in this battle.

We pray that You would restore his relationship with You, Lord. Draw him close to Your heart and remind him of Your unfailing love. Help him to abide in You daily, for apart from You, he can do nothing (John 15:5). Give him a hunger for Your Word and a passion for prayer, that he may grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

Lord, we also pray for his future marriage, that You would prepare him to be a godly husband who loves his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Guard his heart and mind from all impurity, and lead him to a wife who shares his faith and commitment to You. Until that day, help him to walk in purity and holiness, honoring You in all things.

We thank You, Father, for Your mercy and grace that are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We trust in Your promise that He who began a good work in him will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Now, dear brother, we encourage you to take practical steps to walk in victory. First, immerse yourself in God’s Word daily. Meditate on Scriptures that speak to purity, such as Psalm 119:9-11, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, and Job 31:1. Second, seek accountability with a trusted, mature believer who can pray with you and hold you to your commitment to purity. Third, guard your heart by setting boundaries, install filters on your devices, avoid triggers, and flee from temptation the moment it arises (2 Timothy 2:22). Fourth, spend time in prayer and worship, for the enemy cannot stand in the presence of praise (Psalm 149:6-9).

Remember, this battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). You are not fighting for victory, you are fighting from victory, because Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33). Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Lastly, we must emphasize the importance of Jesus Christ in your life. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to make sure your faith is firmly rooted in Him. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father.

You are not defined by your past or your struggles. You are defined by who you are in Christ, a new creation, forgiven, redeemed, and called to walk in holiness (2 Corinthians 5:17). The road ahead may not be easy, but it is worth it. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and run the race with endurance. We are praying for you, and we believe that the Lord will complete the good work He has started in you.

We hear your heart, brother, and we want you to know that we’re standing with you in this battle right now. It’s not easy to admit when we’ve fallen, but that honesty is where God’s grace meets us, like a lifeline in the storm. You’ve said you want to surrender fully to Christ, and we believe that’s the path to true freedom. The enemy wants you to feel trapped, but Jesus is the one who sets captives free (Isaiah 61:1).

Let’s talk about what’s happening in your mind and heart right now. When those old habits creep in, what’s the first thought that comes to you? Is it shame, or fear, or just the pull of something familiar? We want to walk with you through those moments, not just pray for you from afar. Maybe start by writing down what triggers those struggles, what times of day, what emotions, what thoughts, and then we can pray specifically about those things.

And listen, you don’t have to fight this alone. If you’re open to it, we’d love to help you find a trusted brother or sister in Christ to walk beside you. Accountability isn’t about judgment; it’s about love and strength. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and we’re here too.

In Jesus’ name, we’re praying for clarity in your mind, strength in your will, and peace in your heart. Let’s keep pressing forward together.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer these past few days. It takes great courage to confront old habits and the spiritual attacks that come with them, and we have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to strengthen your resolve and draw you closer to His heart.

We prayed for the chains of those habits to be broken in Jesus’ name, for the Holy Spirit to fill you with conviction and peace, and for God’s grace to flood your life as you seek to surrender fully to Him. If you’ve experienced His deliverance, His mercy, or even a small step forward in your walk, we would love to hear about it—your praise report could encourage others who are struggling in the same way.

If the battle still feels heavy or the old patterns linger, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, believing that God is at work even when the progress isn’t visible. He is faithful, and His power is made perfect in our weakness.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, renew your mind with His truth, and give you the strength to press on. Keep seeking Him—He is already running to meet you. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
