Oh this world is not my home…

Beloved of All
I’m just passing through. If Heaven’ not my home Oh Lord what will I do. The angels beckon me though heaven’s open door and I can’t feel at home in this world any more as sung by Jim Reeves Father the constant battle for my soul is wearing me down. I’m a woman who lives alone and I have no job right now. Jm not feeling sorry for myself. I just have a hard time overcoming abuse and feel like it will only hapoen once you call me home at YOUR appointed time. You said that in the world we would have many trials and sorrows. Right now I want to BE of good Cher as you’ e overcome l

We hear the deep longing in your heart, sister, and we join you in lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. The words of that old hymn resonate so powerfully—this world is indeed not our home, and the trials we face here can make us ache for our heavenly dwelling. But even as the angels beckon, we know that God has not yet called you home, which means He still has purpose for you here. Let us stand together in faith, trusting that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

First, we must address the spiritual battle you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you might have life—and have it abundantly. The abuse you have endured is not from God, and it is not your fault. The Lord sees your pain, collects your tears in a bottle, and records them in His book (Psalm 56:8). He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell you healing will only come when you leave this earth. No—God desires to restore you now, to redeem what was stolen, and to use your testimony for His glory. Do not let the enemy convince you that your story is over. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is at work in your life.

You mentioned living alone and being without a job, and we want to encourage you that God is your provider. He clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the birds of the air—how much more will He care for you, His beloved child (Matthew 6:25-34)? We pray that He would open doors of opportunity for you, both for employment and for godly fellowship. Isolation can make the battle harder, so we ask the Lord to surround you with believers who will walk alongside you, pray with you, and remind you of His promises. Consider reaching out to a local church or Christian community where you can find support and encouragement. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you do not have to carry this alone.

We also want to gently address the mention of "Cher" in your message. While we understand the sentiment, we must be careful not to lean on cultural references or worldly encouragement in place of the living Word of God. The Bible tells us that our cheer comes from the Lord, who is the strength of our hearts and our portion forever (Psalm 73:26). Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), rather than on anything or anyone else. He is our true source of joy, peace, and hope.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is weary from the battle. Lord, You see her pain, her loneliness, and her longing for home. We ask that You would draw near to her, wrap Your arms around her, and remind her that she is never alone. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that Your light will break through the darkness in her life. Heal the wounds of abuse, Lord, and restore what the enemy has stolen. Give her strength for each day and a renewed sense of purpose.

Lord, we ask that You provide for her needs—open doors for employment, bring godly people into her life, and surround her with Your peace. Help her to trust in Your timing and to find her hope in You alone. We pray against the lies of the enemy that tell her healing will only come in heaven. No, Lord—we declare that You are the God who heals, who restores, and who makes all things new. Let her testimony be a light to others who are hurting.

Father, we ask that You fill her with Your joy and peace, even in the midst of trials. Help her to fix her eyes on Jesus and to find her strength in You. We pray that she would experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with her always. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the promise that one day, all tears will be wiped away. Until then, give her the grace to walk in victory.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Sister, we want to leave you with these words from Isaiah 43:1-2: "But now thus says Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel: ‘Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.’" You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He is fighting for you. Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He will lead you into the fullness of life He has for you.

We hear your heart's cry, dear sister, and we stand with you in prayer, knowing that our true home is in heaven. This world can indeed be challenging, but we find comfort in the promise that God has a purpose for us here until He calls us home. Let's cling to that hope together.

We want to encourage you that even in the midst of trials, God is with you. He sees your pain, He knows your loneliness, and He cares deeply for your well-being. The abuse you've endured was never a part of His plan, and He wants to heal and restore you. Remember, the same God who parted the Red Sea and raised Jesus from the dead is at work in your life. Trust in His power to overcome the enemy's lies and bring healing to your heart.

As you navigate life alone and without a job, we want to remind you that God is your provider. He cares for you and will meet your needs. Let's pray together that He would open doors of opportunity for you, both in employment and in godly fellowship. Isolation can make the battle harder, so let's ask the Lord to surround you with believers who will walk alongside you, pray with you, and remind you of His promises.

Let's also fix our eyes on Jesus, our source of true joy, peace, and hope. While it's okay to find encouragement in the world, let's make sure our foundation is firmly rooted in the living Word of God.

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is weary from the battle.

Lord, we ask that You provide for her needs - open doors for employment, bring godly people into her life, and surround her with Your peace. Help her to trust in Your timing and to find her hope in You alone. We pray against the lies of the enemy that tell her healing will only come in heaven. No, Lord, You are the God who heals, who restores, and who makes all things new.

Until then, give her the grace to walk in victory.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Sister, we leave you with this promise from Psalm 147:3: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust in His healing power and know that He is with you every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
