Thanks for Saving My Home

Dear Lord Jesus, I got back home and saw that I unplugged the coffee maker and the air dryer in my home was in fine condition never to be negligent. Thank you for keeping it standing. In Jesus Name Amen.

We rejoice with you in gratitude for God’s protection over your home! It is a blessing to see His hand of mercy even in the small details of life, like a coffee maker left unplugged or an appliance preserved. The Lord watches over us in ways we often overlook, and it is right to give Him thanks for His faithfulness.

The Bible tells us, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB). Your prayer reflects a heart of gratitude, and we encourage you to continue cultivating that spirit of thankfulness in all things. Even in the mundane, God is present, and His care is constant.

Let us join you in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of praise for Your goodness and mercy. Thank You for watching over our brother/sister’s home and protecting it from harm. We ask that You continue to guard their dwelling, their family, and all that You have entrusted to them. Help them to walk in wisdom and attentiveness, never taking Your protection for granted. May their home be a place of peace, worship, and safety, where Your presence is always welcomed. Strengthen their faith to trust in You in every circumstance, great and small. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage you to remain vigilant in stewardship over what God has given you. Proverbs 27:23-24 (WEB) reminds us, "Know well the state of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds; for riches are not forever, nor does even the crown endure to all generations." While God’s protection is sovereign, we are still called to be responsible caretakers of His blessings.

If there are other areas of your life where you need God’s guidance or protection, do not hesitate to bring them before Him. He delights in hearing from His children and meeting their needs according to His will. Keep your heart open to His leading, and may your home always be a testimony to His faithfulness.

We're so glad to hear this, that moment of walking back in and realizing all is well, especially after a moment of worry, carries a kind of relief that's hard to describe. Thank you for sharing it with us.

It strikes us that noticing these small, daily mercies, the appliances functioning, the house standing, the ordinary safety we too often take for granted, is itself a spiritual discipline. Gratitude doesn't just feel good; it anchors us in the truth that we're not alone, that Someone is watching over what we cannot always control. The same Lord who kept your home while you were away is the One who walks with you through every room of your life, seen and unseen.

You mentioned wanting never to be negligent again. That's a worthy intention, but we also want to gently say: don't carry the weight of perfection. You noticed, you cared, you prayed, that's faithfulness, not failure. A simple habit, like a quick final walk-through before heading out, can settle your mind. But the deeper peace comes from knowing that even when our vigilance falls short, God's doesn't.

Let's pray: Lord Jesus, thank You for protecting this home and for the relief our friend felt upon returning. Continue to cover their dwelling and all within it, and replace any lingering anxiety with a steady confidence in Your care. Give them practical wisdom for each day and a heart that keeps noticing Your goodness. In Your name, Amen.

A small mercy, you say, and yet how loud it speaks of a watchful Providence! That unplugged coffee maker and the air dryer left in safety, things so common we scarce give them a thought, might have been the torch of ruin had not the Lord held back the flame. It is not a trifle when the Almighty stoops to guard your home from fire while you were away. This is one of those divine interpositions, full of wonder though not miraculous, which weave a crown of goodness around each ordinary day.

Let the inward emotions of gratitude arise. Come before Him with the voice of joy, bearing your offering of thanksgiving not only for walls and roof, but for the God who makes every mercy a messenger of His love. Yet, think deeper: if He cares for a coffee maker, how much more for your never-dying soul? The same hand that kept your house standing tonight is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before His glory with exceeding joy. That is the crowning mercy, the safety of your spirit, secured not by your carefulness but by the blood of the covenant.

Negligence we confess; in small duties and great we have all failed. But the gentleness of God meets us even there. He did not let your oversight turn to disaster; He gave you a homecoming filled with relief rather than weeping. Let that gentleness lead you to the cross, where the greatest interposition was made, when Christ stepped between us and the devouring fire of justice. Have you rested there? For dry trees flourish by divine grace, and green trees without it wither. Walk now in gratitude, and let this preservation be a spur to holy watchfulness, not only over your house, but over your heart, that you may never be negligent of the great salvation.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You rejoice that your house stands, that a breaker was not tripped, that flame did not consume your walls. It is right to give thanks, but let your gratitude stretch further than wood and plaster. The fire of poverty rages in countless homes, a furnace far more terrible than any sparked by a forgotten dryer. If you truly thank the Lord, go down with your alms into that furnace, and your mercy will blow a dewy air through the flame. So the bonds of want are loosed, and the fire is quenched. Give thanks not only for what was spared, but also by sharing with those who have nothing.

Do not merely resolve never to be negligent again with your small appliances. Be far more vigilant over the lamp of your soul. The Day is coming when our every work shall be tested by fire. If you build only with wood and hay, caring only for this present life, you yourself may be saved, yet so as through fire. Let the danger you escaped become a warning that the true house you must keep standing is the one founded on gold and costly stones. Let your thanks ascend with hands open to the hungry, that on that Day you may hear, “Come, inherit the kingdom prepared for you,” and not “Depart into the fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

You came home and found everything standing, your coffee maker unplugged, your dryer in fine shape, no fire, no damage, and your heart immediately turned to the Lord in gratitude. That is right and good. Moments like these remind us that God does not sit at a distance. He intervenes. Throughout Scripture we read of divine intervention, of the Lord sending hailstones or fire from heaven to defend His people, of a protecting hand that kept Benjamin safe at home while his brothers traveled miles through wilderness. You saw that same watchful care when you walked through your door. The Lord kept your house standing, and you recognized it.

That recognition is a gift. Peter had a divine revelation one moment and the next was speaking a philosophy that sounded wise to his own heart but came from a place far from God. The heart can deceive so easily. It can rush past gratitude into self-congratulation or, the next time, into fear and anger when things go wrong. But you paused to thank Jesus. That was the voice of faith. Hold fast to that sensitivity. Cultivate the habit of noticing His small protections each day, because they are many.

Now, think a little deeper. Christ longs to be at home not just around you but within you. The word “dwell” in the New Testament carries the idea of settling down, becoming comfortable, feeling no strain. When Jesus looks at the walls of your heart, is He at home? Or is there a scramble when He knocks, things turned backward or hidden quickly out of sight? The same care you now promise against negligence with appliances, unplugging, checking, being more watchful, that vigilance has a spiritual twin. A home kept safe from fire matters deeply, but a heart kept clear and open before the Lord matters for eternity. The outward mercy points to an inward invitation: let Him be at home in you, no embarrassment, nothing covered up. Rooted and grounded in His love, you will find yourself more at ease in His presence and less inclined to the kind of negligence that leads to ruin.

Remember the ten lepers who started toward the priest and were healed as they went. Jesus simply told the paralyzed man to take up his bed and go home, and the impossible became obedience. In the same way, you walk forward. You have seen God’s hand clearly. Now let that confidence shape a life where not only your house but your heart is open, examined, and kept ready. Yes, be diligent with the coffee maker and the dryer, but be even more diligent to keep short accounts with the Lord and to let His Word dwell in you richly.

May you know His peace in every room of that home, and may Christ truly be comfortable there, both in your living space and in the deepest places of your life. Thank God again and again. Your home stands, and so does His faithfulness.

We are so grateful you shared this moment of gratitude with us and allowed us to stand with you in thanksgiving. It’s a beautiful reminder of how the Lord watches over even the smallest details of our lives, protecting our homes and keeping us from harm. If this was part of a larger concern—perhaps fear of fire, forgetfulness, or anxiety about safety—we rejoice that He answered before you even had to ask.

If there are other areas where you’d like prayer—whether for continued protection, peace of mind, or wisdom in stewardship—please share them with us. We’d love to lift those up as well. And if this praise is part of an ongoing answer to prayer, we’d be blessed to hear how God is working in your life.

May His peace continue to guard your heart and home as you walk in faith. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
