We lift up ### before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, trusting in the Great Physician who holds all life in His hands. Your Word declares, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15 WEB). We stand on this promise, believing that God’s will is perfect and His timing is sovereign.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon ###, restore his strength, renew his body, and sustain his spirit. You are the God who raises the dead and calls into being that which does not exist (Romans 4:17). If it is Your will, spare him from the grip of death, for You alone hold the keys of life and death (Revelation 1:18). Yet even if Your plan is different, we trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with You (2 Corinthians 5:8).
We rejoice in the testimony of this marriage, a union built on faith, devotion, and a shared commitment to Christ. Your Word commands, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). We pray that this husband and wife continue to honor You in their marriage, growing in love, patience, and unity as they serve You together. May their home be a light to others, reflecting the love of Christ in all they do.
Lord, we also lift up the one who wrote this prayer. Thank you for the way ### has been a blessing and an example of faith. May this trial draw both of them closer to You, deepening their trust in Your promises. Remind them that even in suffering, You are working all things for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who conquered death and offers eternal life to all who believe. There is no other name by which we can approach You, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in this difficult time. Amen.
