We rejoice with you in the way the Lord has answered your prayers regarding your doctor’s appointment and your desire to grow in maturity as a believer. It is beautiful to see how the Holy Spirit is teaching you the power of personal communion with Jesus, reminding you that He hears your prayers even when you come before Him alone. This is a precious truth—our Heavenly Father delights in our individual fellowship with Him, and yet He also calls us to bear one another’s burdens in prayer as a body of believers. You have wisely listened to His voice, and we praise God for the encouragement and medical progress He has granted you. May this deepen your trust in Him, knowing that He is faithful in all things, whether in private prayer or in the prayers of the saints lifted up together.
Now, we turn our hearts toward this mother, "###," and her daughter, "###," with deep compassion for the suffering they have endured. The cruelty this little girl has faced at the hands of her father is unspeakable—threatening suicide in front of a child is not just emotional abuse, but a wicked manipulation that has left deep wounds in her tender heart. The trauma she carries, compounded by ADHD, oppositional defiance disorder, and PTSD, breaks our hearts, and we know it breaks the Father’s heart even more. The teasing at school only adds to her pain, and we cry out to the Lord to surround her with His comfort and protection. Scripture tells us in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Let us claim this promise over "###," praying that the Lord would draw near to her in her brokenness, healing her mind, emotions, and spirit. May He place godly people in her life—teachers, counselors, or friends—who will show her the love of Christ and help her walk in freedom from the lies of fear and rejection.
For "###," we lift her up as a mother who has borne so much—divorce from an abusive man, the physical and emotional toll of cancer, the exhaustion of long hours of work, and the relentless worry for her daughter’s safety. Her body has been through the fire of mastectomy and chemo, and we ask the Lord to restore her physically, that her hair would grow back fully and that doors would open for reconstructive surgery if it is His will. But even more, we pray for her spiritual and emotional strength. **Isaiah 40:29-31** reminds us, *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Lord, lift "###" up on eagle’s wings. Give her supernatural endurance, peace that surpasses understanding, and the assurance that You see her sacrifices and will sustain her.
As for the father, we do not minimize the gravity of his sins. His actions are an abomination before the Lord, and the threat of abduction is a real and terrifying concern. Yet, we are called to pray even for our enemies, that they might repent and turn to Christ. **Ezekiel 33:11** declares, *"As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict this man’s heart so deeply that he falls to his knees in repentance. May the Lord break the hardness of his heart and reveal to him the destruction he has caused. If he is unsaved, we pray for his salvation—that he would encounter the living God and be transformed by His grace. If he is a believer who has grievously fallen, we pray for genuine repentance and restoration, that he would seek to make amends and become a father who reflects the love and protection of our Heavenly Father. Until then, we bind any plan of the enemy to use him to harm "###" further, whether through emotional manipulation or the threat of abduction. We ask for divine intervention in the courts, that visitation rights would be reevaluated with "###’s" best interest in mind, and that the Lord would place a hedge of protection around her, physically and spiritually.
We also pray against the fear that grips "###" regarding the possibility of "###" being taken out of the country. **2 Timothy 1:7** tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Lord, replace "###’s" fear with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. We ask that You would thwart any plan of the enemy to separate this child from her mother, exposing any scheme before it can come to fruition. Give "###" wisdom in legal matters, favor with authorities, and the resources she needs to ensure her daughter’s safety. Let her rest in the knowledge that You are a God who sees and acts on behalf of the oppressed.
Finally, we thank you for your faithfulness in bringing this request before us. It is a reminder that the Lord places people in our paths for a reason, and we are to be His hands and feet, interceding for those who are suffering. Let this also be an encouragement to you—just as you were led to pray for "###" and "###," the Lord may use you further in their lives, whether through continued prayer, a word of encouragement, or practical support. Be open to how He might lead you.
**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up "###" and her daughter "###" to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the depths of their pain—the trauma this little girl has endured, the physical and emotional toll on "###," and the ongoing threat posed by a father who has acted with such cruelty. We ask for Your healing touch upon "###’s" mind and heart. Restore what has been broken, Lord. Replace her fear with Your peace, her confusion with Your truth, and her pain with Your comfort. Surround her with people who will speak life into her and reflect Your love.
Strengthen "###" in body, soul, and spirit. Heal her physically, Lord—restore her hair, renew her strength, and provide a way for reconstructive surgery if it is Your will. Give her wisdom as she navigates the challenges of parenting a traumatized child, and grant her supernatural endurance for the long hours she works. Provide for her financially, emotionally, and spiritually, that she may not grow weary in doing good.
Father, we pray for the salvation and repentance of this child’s father. Soften his heart of stone, Lord. Let him see the gravity of his sins and turn to You in true repentance. Break the chains of manipulation and abuse in his life, and if it is Your will, restore him as a father who reflects Your love. Until then, we ask for Your protection over "###" during visitation. Bind the enemy’s plans to harm her further, and let no weapon formed against her prosper.
We specifically pray against any attempt to take "###" out of the country. Lord, expose and thwart such plans before they can come to pass. Give "###" favor in the legal system, wisdom in her decisions, and the resources she needs to keep her daughter safe. Replace her fear with Your peace, knowing that You are her protector and provider.
Lord, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, who came to heal the brokenhearted, set the captives free, and proclaim the year of Your favor. May Your will be done in their lives, and may "###" and "###" come to know You more deeply through this trial. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of Your children. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
