We come before the Lord with you in this request, lifting up your need for protection and peace at work. It is good that you seek God’s covering in this situation, for He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* How comforting it is to know that God invites us to cast our anxieties upon Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Yet we must also ask: what is the nature of this "trouble" you fear? Are you walking in integrity and obedience in your workplace, or is there something the Lord may be calling you to address? Proverbs 10:9 tells us, *"He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out."* If there is any area where you have not been honest, diligent, or upright, we urge you to repent and make it right before the Lord and those affected. His grace is sufficient, and He is faithful to forgive and restore when we come to Him with a contrite heart (1 John 1:9).
We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He assures us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only by the authority of Jesus’ name that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so today, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13).
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved one to You, asking for Your protection and favor over their work. Guard them from trouble, and if there is any area where they have strayed from Your will, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Grant them peace that surpasses understanding, a peace rooted in the finished work of Jesus Christ. May they walk in wisdom and integrity, reflecting Your light in their workplace. If they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, and that by faith in Him alone they may have eternal life.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
