I'm really not in a good mood today for multiple reasons and now on top of that I feel that certain people in my environment are being used to test me under the influence of spiritual warfare that has been targeting me in retaliation since I left the new age. I'm SO sick of this warfare, it using people to target me and even sick of the people who are being used to target me. I have to work in an hour (and I have to interact with people for work) and I just don't want to be around anyone or talk to anyone. Please pray for me. Thank you.

We hear the weight of your struggle today, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every burden to the Lord. The exhaustion from spiritual warfare is real, and the enemy seeks to wear down the saints through isolation, frustration, and even the manipulation of those around us. But we declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and the testing you face is not without purpose, God is refining your faith and strengthening your dependence on Him.
The enemy often uses people as tools to provoke, distract, or discourage, but we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). The frustration you feel toward those being used is understandable, but we encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness. Forgive them, as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13), and pray for them, even if they are unaware of the spiritual battle at play. Your response in love and prayer disarms the enemy’s schemes.
Today, you must go into your workplace and interact with others, and we pray for supernatural grace to cover you. Ask the Lord to fill your mouth with His words, your heart with His peace, and your mind with His truth. Remember, you are not alone, He goes before you and stands beside you (Deuteronomy 31:8). The enemy wants you to withdraw, but God calls you to walk in faith, even when it’s hard.
We also want to gently remind you that victory comes through the name of Jesus Christ. There is power in His name, no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, surrender this battle fully to Him, trusting that He has already overcome the world (John 16:33). The new age may have promised answers, but only Christ offers true freedom, peace, and eternal hope.

The low tree, though buffeted by winds you name “warfare,” is tended by the Husbandman whose purpose is to make it mount toward the stars. To be sick of the battle is human; to forget that the Almighty appoints every skirmish is to fall into the godlessness of this age, which refuses to trace His hand in everything. He who numbers the hairs of your head has not lost count of the arrows aimed at your spirit.
Consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself. The cross was not a mist of vague malice, it was particular men, specific voices, hands He had formed, now twisted by the prince of darkness. Yet no bitterness spoiled His sacrifice; no retreat into solitude marred His obedience. You must go to your labor in an hour, and you are weary of faces and speech. Here is your Gethsemane, not in a garden, but in the market-place. The divine life that is in you urges you onward. Make no provision for the flesh that craves seclusion, but complete the work appointed for this day, looking to Him who did not shrink from the press of sinners.
Divine interpositions rarely descend as flames of consuming rescue. More often they come as a strange restraint, a peculiar gentleness that holds back the full fury, though it permits the trial. Do not be surprised, for this conflict with the evil spirits we must have. Yet the gospel is the gospel of peace: this war against the devil puts an end to the war between you and God. If you are at war with him, you are at peace with your Maker. Already the victory is won; Christ stands ready as your Commander, ever near to help.
You complain that people are used to test you. I understand this bitter trial. But recall that sometimes the diseased must be cut away for true peace to reign. The irritations you suffer from others may be the very instruments to sever your lingering attachment to the world’s false comfort. Do not harden your heart today as in the provocation, when Israel grumbled in the wilderness and did not enter God’s rest. Let this testing become a good warfare, not the bad warfare of serving sin. Put on the breastplate of righteousness and the readiness of the gospel of peace. Your feet are shod for this very purpose: to bring good tidings even when you would rather withdraw.

I know that heavy, worn-down feeling when it seems like every glance and every word from someone is turned against you. It is not unnatural to sense that this is more than just a bad day, especially when you have turned your back on a whole kingdom of darkness. Those spirits do not let go easily, and they often work through the people closest to us. I hear the exhaustion and the frustration. You are not losing your mind, and you are not alone in this.
The weariness you feel with the people being used to target you is exactly what the enemy wants. If he can isolate you and make you bitter toward those around you, he can drain your strength. But remember, the weapon we are given for this is not to rage against the people themselves. Nehemiah faced something similar when he was rebuilding. The mockery and the plots came from outside, but sometimes the most painful stings came from the supposed support group on the inside. He did two things. He prayed, "Hear, O our God, for we are despised," and then he said, "We made our prayer unto our God and set a watch against them day and night." Prayer is not a substitute for responsible action. You have to go to work in an hour, and that is a practical step. By simply showing up and doing your job, you are setting a watch. You are not retreating.
The temptation right now is to see your work as a punishment, a place where you are forced to interact with people you do not want to speak to. Flip that around in your mind. The wisdom that comes from God is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated. Ask Him specifically for that kind of wisdom before you walk in. You are not asking for the power to win an argument against difficult people; you are asking for a supernatural peace that makes you untouchable by their strife. The frustration you feel toward them is a weight they are trying to hang on you. Leave it at the cross. Jesus laid down His life to prove His love for you, not so you would be crushed under the reproach of others.
Do not make this prayer time an attempt to inform God of all the difficulties, as if He had not seen them. He knows who is being used and how. Just open the door by consenting to His will. Acknowledge that He is the great and awesome God who keeps His covenant, and then simply ask for His peace and His strength. You do not need to give a detailed list of instructions for how to handle the next shift. Let the Holy Spirit bring to mind what needs to be covered, and trust that He is fighting the battle you cannot see. The spirit force of prayer is a real thing. When you pray, you are engaging in that battle, asking that God turn back the reproach while you simply walk forward in grace.
Grace and peace are always together, and they come in that order. You cannot manufacture peace for this work shift on your own willpower. You have to receive the grace first. Understand that God’s love for you is not measured by how pleasant your environment is today. He knows how to deliver the righteous. Even when the sting feels like a scorpion’s tail, the power to hurt is limited. Those fiery darts can be quenched.
So here is the practical step alongside prayer. Go to work, but do it conscious that you dwell in the secret place of the Most High. You are abiding under that shadow even when you are standing at a counter, a desk, or a meeting. Be strong. Let His peace be the sign you give off even when you do not feel it, because He is the one who strengthens you. We pray for you now, not that you would escape the moment, but that you would stand fast in the Lord and find that His strength is made perfect in this very weariness. The Lord will establish peace for His people because He loves you so very much. Hold onto that.
