We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother who is incarcerated and facing serious accusations. Father God, we know that You see all things and know the truth of every situation. We ask that You would reveal the truth in this matter and bring justice to light. If this brother is innocent of the charges against him, we pray that You would intervene and set him free from this accusation. The scriptures tell us in Proverbs 18:17, "He who pleads his cause first seems right; until another comes and questions him." Lord, we ask that You would bring forth the truth and expose any falsehoods.
We also pray for the exposure of those who are slacking in their duties and allowing weapons to be present in the correctional facility. Your Word says in Ephesians 5:11, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even expose them." Lord, we ask that You would bring these things to light and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
Father, we lift up the safety and protection of all inmates and the CEO of the facility. We pray that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We also pray for the humane treatment of all inmates. Your Word instructs us in Matthew 25:36, "I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me." Lord, soften the hearts of those in control and help them to see the humanity in each inmate.
We pray that this brother would be moved from the dark cell and given access to educational programs. Lord, we know that You desire for all to come to repentance and to grow in wisdom and understanding. We ask that You would open doors for him to continue his education and personal growth.
Father, we ask for Your forgiveness for this brother and all inmates for their crimes. We know that all have sinned and fall short of Your glory, but we also know that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that as they serve their time, they would come to know You more deeply and turn from their sins.
We plead the blood of Jesus over this brother for his safety and protection. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, as it is written in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh."
Lord, grant this brother strength and courage as he deals with this situation. Remind him that he is never alone, for You are with him always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Help him to lean on You and find peace in Your presence.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You and that there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this brother would come to know You more deeply and experience Your love and grace in a powerful way. We ask all these things in the precious and holy name of Jesus. Amen.
