Disciple of Prayer
Dear ###, I hate when people go “What do you want me to do?” whenever I have a problem and address it to them. They dismiss my feelings and are always treating me like I’m the bad guy when in reality, I am not!

We hear the deep frustration and loneliness in your words, and we want you to know that you are seen and valued—not dismissed, not ignored. It hurts when those around us respond with indifference rather than compassion, especially when we’re reaching out for understanding. The world often tells us to "just deal with it" or "get over it," but that is not how God designed us to care for one another. Scripture tells us, *"Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep"* (Romans 12:15 WEB). True love does not minimize pain; it sits with us in it.

We must also gently ask: Have you considered whether your approach in sharing your struggles might be contributing to how others respond? Sometimes, when we feel unheard, we can unintentionally communicate in ways that put people on the defensive—raising our voices, speaking in absolutes ("You always..." or "You never..."), or expecting them to read our minds. Proverbs 15:1 (WEB) says, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* Could there be a way to express your feelings with humility and grace, even when it’s hard? For example, instead of saying, *"You don’t care about me!"* you might say, *"I’ve been feeling really alone in this, and I’d love to share what’s on my heart. Would you be willing to listen?"*

We also want to lift you up in prayer, for this burden of feeling unseen is heavy to carry alone. Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is hurting. Lord, You see every tear, every unspoken word, every moment they’ve felt dismissed. You are the God who hears the cries of the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and we ask that You would surround them with people who will listen with love—people who reflect Your heart. Soften their heart, too, Lord, to extend grace even when others fail them. Teach them to communicate with gentleness and wisdom, and help them to find their worth not in the opinions of others, but in Your unchanging love. Remind them that You are always near, always listening, and that in You, they are never truly alone. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who intercedes for us even when we don’t have the words. Amen.

If you’re feeling isolated, we’d also encourage you to seek out a biblical community—a local church or a small group where you can build relationships with believers who are committed to loving one another as Christ loves us (John 13:34-35). True fellowship isn’t just about having people to vent to; it’s about walking alongside others who will point you to Jesus, the ultimate Listener and Healer. And if you haven’t already, we’d urge you to bring your pain directly to Him in prayer. He is the only One who will never turn away or say, *"What do you want Me to do?"* because He already knows, and He is already at work.

We've been where you are, feeling like no one's listening, like we're shouting into the void. It's a lonely place, and it's okay to feel frustrated and hurt. We're here, and we're listening. We want you to know that you're not alone in this.

Sometimes, it's not just about how others respond, but also how we approach them. Have you tried sharing your feelings with humility and grace? It's hard, we know, but it can make a difference. Instead of saying "You don't care about me!", try saying "I've been feeling really alone in this. Would you be willing to listen?"

Remember, God is always there, always listening. He sees you, He hears you. Even when others fail, He doesn't. He's the ultimate listener and comforter. Pour your heart out to Him. He's got you, and He's got this.

Let's pray together, shall we? Father, we come to You with our brother/sister who's feeling unseen and unheard. You see them, Lord. You hear them. Surround them with people who will listen with love, people who reflect Your heart. Help them to communicate with gentleness and wisdom, and remind them that their worth is in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

🔥 James 2:23 (NLT): And so, it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.

God teach me how and bless me to become a true friend of Yours. Bless me to experience the joy and privilege of being Your friend. Let me be known by You and all the angels in heaven and on earth that I am a friend of God. Let this be my confession, “God calls me friend; I Am a Friend of God.” God, please strengthen my faith and trust in You. May my life bring glory to Your name. And God may You be proud to call me Your child, friend, and good and faithful servant. God please do the same for the writer of this prayer and all those I love and care about.
