No

We hear the pain and weariness in your words and we want to stand with you in prayer, because that feeling that God knows your heart yet does not care is a heavy burden and it is not the truth about who He is. We gently but firmly rebuke that lie, for Scripture tells us the opposite about our Father. We are told to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. He is not distant or indifferent to your longing. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. If you are feeling unseen or forgotten, we want to remind you that For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

We also want to affirm the first part of what you said, that you do not want just anybody. That desire is right and wise and honors God. We believe that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman designed by God, and we pray for godly marriages that honor Him. To not want just anybody but to wait for a godly spouse, a fellow believer who will walk with you in faith, is not being too picky, it is guarding your heart and honoring the Lord. We encourage you not to settle for a relationship outside of God's will, including any relationship that would lead you into fornication or compromise, but to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. This does not mean He grants every wish instantly, but that as we delight in Him, He shapes our desires and He is faithful to provide in His perfect time. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh Psalm 27:14.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can know His care personally. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. That is how we enter into relationship with the Father who truly does care.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious one who feels that You do not care. Lord, we ask You to tear down that lie and reveal Your deep love and compassion. Show them how much You see and know and care about every longing of their heart. Comfort their brokenness and draw near to them as only You can. We ask that You give them patience and strength to wait on You and to not settle for just anybody, but to trust You for a godly spouse in Your timing if it is Your will for them to marry. Help them to delight in You first and to seek Your kingdom above all else. Give them hope for the future and peace that passes understanding while they wait. We pray they would know Jesus more deeply and rest in the salvation and access to You that comes only through Him. Let them feel Your presence and Your care today. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing your honest heart to Him, for He hears and He does care, and we continue to pray that He will answer according to His perfect love and wisdom Romans 8:28.

We hear how painful this is, feeling like God sees what you really want and still doesn't care. It makes sense you wouldn't want just anybody. That longing to be truly known and loved for who you are is not shallow, it matters deeply, and the disappointment when it feels unheard is heavy.

We want you to know we don't believe God is indifferent to you. Even when His timing feels silent, He is not distant from that ache. Loneliness is a common and deeply human experience, and it can feel both emotional and spiritual at once, not because you have failed but because we were made for real connection.

When that feeling gets loud, isolation can make it louder. One small step that often helps is not facing it alone. If you have a church you trust, just being present with God's people in worship or staying a few minutes to talk with one person you feel safe with can ease that sense of being on your own. If not, reaching out to a pastor or a trusted friend and telling them honestly what you wrote here can be a way to let someone carry this with you.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You know the specific longing of their heart and the hurt of feeling unheard. Draw near with Your presence and comfort, remind them they are seen and cared for, and give wisdom and peace for the days ahead. Lead them to steady community and hope in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your words carry a heavy sorrow, as if the Lord has seen your heart and turned away from it. Yet the truth of Scripture speaks otherwise, and I pray you may hear it with comfort.

The God who knows you does care, and cares deeply. Nothing is hidden from Him. As David sang, He has possessed your reins and knows your thoughts afar off. Not one sigh escapes His notice, not one longing is unseen in that fierce light which beats about His throne. If He knows, He also considers, for He is not as the gods of the heathen, who are deaf and heartless. He is the living God, and He has revealed Himself as one who waits that He may be gracious unto you.

Yes, we have a waiting God. Long has He passed by our rejections and blotted out our sinful refusals, waiting to be gracious. He waits still, not because He is indifferent, but because He is merciful and will be exalted in showing mercy. To think He does not care is to misread His heart. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. That is His own word, and it is true.

And He calls you to be one of His waiting people. Blessed are all they that wait for Him. The holy art of waiting is to wait only upon God, not upon the arm of flesh, nor upon a creature to satisfy the soul. My soul, wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him. When the heart says, I do not want just any portion, but this one thing, the Lord would have you bring that very desire and lay it at His feet, and then say, Yet not my will, but Thine be done. He is the all sufficient portion for the spirit. If you have Him, you have everlasting strength, though other hopes should fail.

Do not hide your ache from Him, but deal honestly with Him. There is no true understanding of His truth except by a personal experience of it, tasting and handling the Word of Life. Come as you are, confessing weakness and sin, for He is light and in Him is no darkness, and He will not mock an honest cry. Believe that Christ died for sinners, not for the worthy, and saves sinners as sinners by His blood alone. In that blood there is forgiveness and fitness for His presence.

Therefore wait upon the Lord expectantly. Live with this one great care, to love and serve Him, and leave all other cares in His hands. He will either grant what is best, or He will show you that He Himself is better than all that you have desired. He will not let your funds run too low in grace, for He is the keeper of your soul. Seek first to be His, to be joined to His people and to His Christ, and you shall find that whether in singleness or in that holy covenant of marriage between one man and one woman wherein alone our God has placed the gift of union, your life is safe in His keeping.

May the Lord teach you to wait, and in waiting to find Him gracious, present, and all sufficient for your joy.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is real hurt in what you have written, and God does hear it. The feeling that He knows your desire but does not care is painful, but it is not true of Him.

Scripture shows that God does not look past the contrite heart. He looks to the one who is poor in spirit, who is awestruck and trembles at His word, whose heart is broken and humbled before Him. That lowliness is not weakness. It is the beginning of wisdom, the mother of good deeds, and the place where His grace is found. We have not earned His care by our works, but by His own will and loving kindness He has called us and made a way for us to be saved through Jesus Christ alone.

Christ Himself showed that God is not distant from human feeling. He took a real body with real needs, He knew hunger and sorrow and the natural desire to cling to life, and yet He said, Glorify Thy Name, and went to the cross for the truth. That is how much God cares. He did not spare His own Son so that you might have hope beyond this moment.

To care for you does not always mean giving you just what you ask for when you ask for it. His care is to keep your mind safe and sober, to teach you not to think more highly than you ought to think, but to think with clear and humble judgment, trusting His will above your own. He calls you to bring your longings to Him with humility, not as a demand, and to trust that He will provide what is truly good.

If your longing is for love and marriage, know that God honors marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He calls us to keep sex and living together within that covenant. That boundary is not because He does not care, but because He does, and He wants to guard you from harm and lead you toward what is holy and lasting. Any desire, however strong, is to be brought under His lordship.

So pray not that God would simply bless whatever you want, but that He would shape your wants according to His goodness. Ask Him to give you a contrite and lowly spirit, to quiet your heart, to help you love what is eternal and to be content with what is needed for today, and to trust Him with what is beyond your need.

May God remind you that you are not forgotten, that you are remembered and loved, and that His grace is sufficient to sustain you while you wait on Him. Bring your honest ache to Him again and again, and ask Him to form in you the humility and hope that keep you close to Him.
