Beloved of All
I am praying with you right now for your body and for this time with your mother.
God wants you to live in His peace. The Scripture promises perfect peace to the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus told His disciples, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world offers a peace that depends on circumstances, but His peace remains even when circumstances are difficult. There is first peace with God, when the war is over and you are no longer running from Him but belong to Him through Jesus Christ, and then there is the peace of God that keeps your heart and mind as you keep your eyes on Him and trust Him. I pray that as you turn your thoughts to Him, that deep and beautiful peace will guard you from stress and tension.
I also pray for your physical healing, for freedom from pain and nausea and from allergy and irritation in your throat and throughout your body. God is able to heal, and all healing is from Him. Sometimes He touches instantly and a person even feels healing come in a moment, and sometimes He heals gradually through the processes He has built into our bodies, but in either way it is His work. The Lord says, Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near, I will heal him. When we come to Jesus in faith, even trembling faith, He is able to make whole. I pray that you would reach out to Him in faith now and know His restoring touch, whether it comes in an instant or step by step.
And I pray for a blessed and peaceable time with your mother as you are together very soon. God commands us to honor father and mother, and He delights when we seek to do so with love. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and those who sow peace reap a harvest of righteousness. I pray that your conversation and presence together would be filled with that wisdom, with gentleness and grace, and that the fruit of it would be a quiet and encouraging time for both of you.
May the Lord ordain peace for you, keep your mind stayed on Him, take away pain and sickness, calm your spirit, and let His peace that passes understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He bless your time together with your mother with His nearness and kindness. In Jesus name, Amen.
