No kids or babies for me

Scripture clearly affirms the blessing of children. Psalm 127:3-5 (WEB) tells us, *"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them."* Children are not a burden but a gift from the Lord, entrusted to parents to raise in the fear and admonition of Him. The Bible also commands us in Genesis 1:28 (WEB), *"God blessed them. God said to them, 'Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it.'"* This is not merely a suggestion but a foundational part of God’s design for marriage and family.
However, we recognize that not everyone is called to parenthood in the same way. Some may remain single, others may struggle with infertility, and some may serve God in ways that do not include raising children. But if your stance is rooted in a rejection of God’s design for family, we must gently but firmly address this. A refusal to embrace the possibility of children—when God has not closed that door—may reflect a heart that is resisting His will rather than submitting to it.
We also want to encourage you to examine your motives. Are you avoiding children out of fear, selfishness, or a desire to prioritize personal comfort over God’s calling? Proverbs 16:9 (WEB) reminds us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."* If you are in a season of discernment about marriage or family, we urge you to seek the Lord’s guidance rather than making a declaration that may close doors He intends to open.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will above our own. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has shared this concern. We ask that You would reveal Your truth to them—whether that is a calling to parenthood or another path of service in Your kingdom. Soften their heart to receive Your Word and Your design for family. If there is fear, pride, or resistance in them, Father, uproot it and replace it with trust in You. Help them to see children as You see them—not as inconveniences, but as blessings and arrows in the hands of a warrior for Your glory. If they are called to marriage, prepare them for the joys and responsibilities of raising godly offspring. If they are called to singleness, show them how to steward that season for Your purposes. Above all, Lord, align their desires with Yours. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
