We have heard your request and we join with you together in Jesus' name to seek our Father's will and mercy for you and for your dear mother.
We understand you are carrying fear and anxiety and distress in your body with diarrhea and digestive trouble, and at the same time you are carrying worry for your mother who has suffered what appears to be a stroke and is now weak and unable to walk or even sit without falling to one side. We want to bring all of this before the Lord, for He cares for both you and her.
The Scripture tells us God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7, and when we are afraid we can put our trust in Him, Psalm 56:3. We are told not to be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We rebuke that spirit of fear and anxiety over you now and ask the Lord to replace it with His perfect peace, for perfect love casts out fear, 1 John 4:18, and He has promised fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.
We also lift up your body to Him, for He is the One who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3, and who wishes above all things that you may prosper and be in health, 3 John 1:2. We ask Him to calm your digestive system and take away all diarrhea and distress, to bring rest and wholeness to your body.
For your mother we pray with compassion. The Lord sees her weakness and her need. He is close to the brokenhearted, Psalm 34:18, and He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We ask for His healing hand upon her, for the promise that He will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, Jeremiah 30:17, and that He will sustain her on her sickbed, Psalm 41:3. We pray for a quick and full recovery according to His will, for peace and joy to fill her heart even in the hospital, for favor with the doctors, nurses and all who care for her, and for wisdom and diligence for every person treating her. We pray as it is written when a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, Proverbs 16:7, that the Lord would grant her favor and special care and attentiveness in that place.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only by His name that we have access to God. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord that we are saved, Romans 10:9. We encourage you to call upon Him with confidence, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13.
So we pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this dear one who is troubled with fear, anxiety and digestive affliction, and we ask You to touch their body and calm their stomach, to take away diarrhea and bring comfort and health. Fill them with Your peace that passes understanding and let them know You are with them. We lift up their precious mother who has suffered this stroke and lies weak in the hospital unable to walk or sit without falling. Lord, have mercy on her, lay Your healing hand upon her, restore strength to her body, restore what the stroke has taken, guide the hands and minds of all who care for her, and let her receive favor and excellent care. Grant her peace and joy and let her feel Your presence near. We ask for wisdom for the medical team to understand exactly what happened and how best to treat her, and for a swift recovery that brings glory to You. We trust her and this whole family into Your loving care. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
