Everlasting Father, my Refuge and my Strength, I come before You with a heart that is weary, yet filled with hope, for You are the God who sees what no eye sees and knows what no heart can fully understand. Nothing has escaped Your notice. Every closed door, every hidden conversation, every withheld word, every burden carried in silence lies open before Your throne. Lord, You know how I have been overlooked, excluded from important meetings, denied information necessary to fulfil my responsibilities, and placed in situations where confusion has been allowed to make me appear incapable. You know the pain of being misunderstood, opposed and quietly resisted. Yet I choose to trust in You alone, for You are my Advocate, my Defender and my righteous Judge. Arise, O Lord, and let truth prevail over confusion, integrity over manipulation, and righteousness over every selfish ambition. Father, remove every spirit of jealousy, rivalry, pride, interference and disorder. Let every person serve faithfully within the responsibilities entrusted to them. Where there has been confusion, establish order. Where there has been division, establish unity. Where there has been personal ambition, establish humility and a sincere desire to serve for the good of the students. Grant heavenly wisdom to the ###, ###, ###, ###, ### and all University leadership. Give them understanding, discernment and courage to establish proper governance and clear lines of responsibility. Raise up every vital leadership position that is needed in Your perfect time, and place in those offices men and women who fear You, love truth and pursue justice. May every decision be guided by wisdom rather than assumption, by truth rather than opinion, and by integrity rather than personal interest. Lord, let every unnecessary interference in ### cease. Let every office respect the mandate entrusted to another. Bring clarity where there has been confusion, cooperation where there has been conflict, and mutual respect where there has been misunderstanding. Let ### be strengthened according to Your purpose so that students may receive the care, guidance and support they deserve. If it pleases You, establish ### by Your mighty hand. I do not know how to establish or lead such a committee as I ought. But You are the God who gives wisdom generously to those who ask. Therefore I ask You—teach me. Teach me how to form it wisely, how to lead it faithfully, how to chair meetings with humility, confidence and fairness. Teach me when to speak and when to remain silent. Teach me how to unite people, resolve differences with grace, guide discussions with wisdom, and make decisions that honour You. Let Your Holy Spirit be my Teacher, and let me depend not upon my own understanding but upon Your perfect wisdom. Guard my heart, Lord. Keep me from bitterness, discouragement, fear and resentment. When I am misunderstood, make me gracious. When I am opposed, make me steadfast. When I grow weary, renew my strength. When I feel alone, remind me that You are always near. We hear your weary yet hopeful heart, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of our Everlasting Father. You are not alone in this struggle, for the Lord sees every hidden injustice, every whispered exclusion, and every attempt to undermine your work. He is your Defender, your Advocate, and your righteous Judge, and we join you in declaring that His truth and justice will prevail.

The Word of God assures us, "The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you" (Psalm 9:9-10). We pray that this truth would anchor your soul as you navigate these challenges. The confusion, manipulation, and resistance you face are not from the Lord, and we rebuke every spirit of jealousy, pride, and disorder that seeks to disrupt God’s purposes. We declare that order, unity, and humility will be established in their place, for "God is not a God of confusion but of peace" (1 Corinthians 14:33).

We also lift up the leadership of the university, asking the Lord to grant them heavenly wisdom, discernment, and courage. May they govern with integrity, clarity, and a sincere desire to serve the students well. We pray that every vacant leadership position would be filled with men and women who fear God, love truth, and pursue justice. Let every decision be guided by wisdom rather than assumption, truth rather than opinion, and integrity rather than personal interest. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance" (Psalm 33:12). We declare that this institution would be blessed as it aligns with His purposes.

Your humility in acknowledging your own need for wisdom is beautiful, and we echo your prayer. The Lord delights in giving wisdom to those who ask, as James 1:5 tells us: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." We pray that the Holy Spirit would be your Teacher, guiding you in how to form, lead, and chair this committee with grace, fairness, and confidence. Teach you when to speak and when to listen, how to unite people, and how to resolve differences with love. May your leadership reflect the heart of Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45).

We also guard your heart against the snares of bitterness, discouragement, and resentment. When you are misunderstood, may you respond with grace; when opposed, may you stand steadfast; when weary, may the Lord renew your strength. "But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). You are not alone, He is near, and His presence is your comfort and strength.

We declare that the work of your hands will prosper according to God’s will. Every plan that aligns with His purposes will succeed, and every purpose that does not will come to nothing. May this institution be built on the foundation of truth, justice, wisdom, and good governance, so that students may flourish, leaders may serve with integrity, and every office may work together in unity for His glory.

Father, we thank You for the trust this dear one has placed in You. Strengthen them to walk faithfully, courageously, and humbly until the work You have appointed is accomplished. There is no attribute more comforting to the tried child of God than the doctrine of Divine Sovereignty. That every closed door, every whispered intrigue, every burden carried in silence lies open before His throne, is not merely a truth to be acknowledged, but a pillow upon which a weary head may rest. He who traces the eagle’s path through the trackless air sees with equal clarity the hidden mazes of human affairs. Do not think it a small thing that the Lord has permitted your present trial; He has appointed it with as much precision as He has ordained the stars in their courses. When you are misunderstood and opposed, remember that the Divine gentleness which restrained David’s hand and sent Abigail at the critical hour is not exhausted. The Lord’s voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see His name. Hear the rod, and Him who hath appointed it. Your very confusion is the black velvet upon which the jewel of His deliverance shall sparkle all the more brightly.

You cry for wisdom, and herein you have touched the true path. Wisdom is the compass by which man is to steer across the trackless waste of life, and its price is above rubies. Yet how graciously is it given to those who ask! You confess you do not know how to establish or lead as you ought. This is the best posture for a scholar in the school of Christ. The Divine Instructor sometimes teaches His eaglets to fly by stirring up the nest, by breaking up their earthly comforts, that they may mount upon wings towards heaven. You feel your weakness; that is the sacred classroom where the Holy Spirit illuminates souls that look to Jesus. Do not pine for a volcano of worldly policy; a grain of divine grace is worth more than a ton of knowledge. The Lord can make in an hour what years of human striving cannot produce, an honest heart, a clear judgment, a steadfast purpose. He who taught David’s hands to war and his fingers to fight will teach you when to speak and when to remain silent. Trust Him to guide discussions with heavenly wisdom; He is no poor instructor.

As for the work you have entrusted to Him, the committee and the governance of the university, let your faith stand firm. Divine interpositions often come at the very moment when the floods of trouble seem ready to overwhelm. Have you not known remarkable preservations before? The Lord is not slack concerning His promise; He does but postpone a surprising stroke of wisdom to the moment when it shall redound most fully to His praise. The presence of God dissolves difficulties as summer’s sun melts the glaciers. Only let that presence be sought, and systems of error, confusion, and selfish ambition will flow down at His feet. Pray not only for deliverance but for that greater thing: the sanctifying power of the trial. Divine discipline, though it tears away some comforts, is always winged with infinite affection. The end is that we may dwell where He is, above the mists of this world.

Guard your heart diligently. When you are inclined to bitterness, think of the gentleness with which the Lord first dealt with you, how He showed you His hands and His feet, and said, “Weep no more, your sins were laid on Me.” That same gentle hand is upon you now, not to crush but to conform to Christ’s image. The way of wisdom is not the road of resentment. It is humility, steady dependence, and a quiet waiting upon God. Leave your cause in His hands with a calm resolve that if it prospers, He shall have all the glory; and if it appears to be delayed, He shall still have your trust. The dry tree, by divine grace, shall flourish; the green tree, deserted by the dew of heaven, shall dry up. Walk faithfully, courageously, and humbly. It may be years before you see the full harvest, but the Lord’s work, done in the Lord’s way, never fails. At the last, you will trace His hand in everything and be ashamed of every former doubt. Now, go to your night’s rest upon this sweet pillow: He who sees has also appointed, He who has appointed will also perfect.

You have poured out your case before the Lord, and it is well that you have done so, for nothing is hidden from the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. But I urge you to examine your heart in the light of Christ’s words: “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” This poverty is not a lack of resources, but a soul humbled and contrite, one that trembles at God’s word. When you are denied information, overlooked in meetings, and misrepresented, consider that God is teaching you what it means to be truly lowly. The world calls this injustice, and it is, but for you it is a furnace to refine your spirit. Many are humble by compulsion, having no choice; the virtue belongs to those who, having it in their power to exalt themselves, choose the lower place. You have no power to change the hearts of those who oppose you, but you have great power to accept this schooling in lowliness willingly.

Yet beware: even humility can become a snare. The Evil One does not care whether he catches us with pride of station or pride of lowliness. If you catch yourself thinking, “How humble I am to endure this,” you have already lost the reward. For as the Apostle says, sin works death through what is good. When you admire your own patience, look to your Master: being in the form of God, He emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave. He was reviled, and did not revile in return. Did He think highly of Himself for this? No, He looked to the Father alone. So must you.

You have asked for wisdom to lead, to establish order, to chair meetings with humility. This is good, but wisdom comes only to the lowly. God gives grace to the humble, and He gives wisdom generously to those who ask in faith. Yet if He withholds this role from you, if resistance continues, are you content to be set aside? The true test is not whether your committee is established, but whether your soul is at peace in God’s will. The work of your hands may be important for students, but the work of God in your own soul is of eternal weight. Let your prayer be not only for the removal of confusion but for the removal of every passion that these trials have stirred: bitterness, fear, resentment. When you are misrepresented, remember that the Just Judge will one day bring every hidden thing to light. In the meantime, let the opposition become an occasion for true service, not demanding what is owed, but offering what is needed. The Apostle Paul spoke of others supplying his lack, but he never grew arrogant; rather, he cared for them with a father’s heart. So you, when colleagues interfere, pray for them, not as an act of superiority, but as one who recognizes your own need for mercy.

Do not imagine that the mere removal of these difficulties will bring you closer to God. It is in the storm that the sailor proves his skill; it is in the contest that the athlete wins the crown. Persevere in your nightly prayer, but add this: “Lord, grant me a contrite heart, not merely a change of circumstances. Let me not seek my own glory, but Yours. If my plans must fail so that Your purpose stands, let them fail. And keep me from the secret pride of complaining to You as if I were righteous.” God does not despise a broken and humbled heart. He will establish whatever is from Him, and He will do it in His own time, not yours. Only guard your heart, for out of it flow the issues of life.

Your prayer reveals a heart that is both burdened and anchored. That weariness you feel is not a sign of defeat; it is the ache of a soul refusing to settle for the wisdom of this world. The chaos around you, the hidden conversations, the withheld information, the confusion allowed to make you appear incapable, that is what earthly wisdom produces. It is the fruit of pride, rivalry, and selfish ambition. Scripture describes it plainly: where envy and strife exist, there is confusion and every evil work. That kind of wisdom does not descend from above. It is earthly, unspiritual, and comes to nothing. You are seeing it firsthand. But the very fact that you are turning your eyes heavenward tells me the Spirit of God is guarding you from becoming what you are suffering under.

Your request echoes what Solomon asked for so long ago. He did not seek money or fame but wisdom to lead. That pleased the Lord, who then gave not only wisdom but also what Solomon had not asked for. So take heart. The cry you are voicing is already a mark of true wisdom’s beginning: the fear of the Lord. You are not leaning on your own understanding. You are not demanding to know every hidden thing. You are entrusting your cause to the righteous Judge who sees what no eye sees. He knows every closed door. He knows every burden carried in silence. And He has promised that when the poor, wise man delivers a city, even if no one remembers him, that wisdom is better than strength. Your quiet, steady trust is not wasted.

The pressure you feel to lead well is itself an invitation to depend completely on Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. You confessed that you do not know how to establish or lead as you ought. That is the best place to begin. The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits. Ask for that wisdom not as a reservoir you can tap at will, but moment by moment, in the meeting, in the difficult conversation, when you must decide whether to speak or stay silent. God honors that dependence. He gives the word of wisdom precisely when it is needed, often in ways that satisfy what anxious reasoning never could.

Guard your heart as you have asked. Bitterness and resentment are the natural offspring of earthly wisdom. But the wisdom that comes from God produces a harvest of righteousness. When you are misunderstood, the grace you show will speak louder than any defense you could craft. When you are opposed, your steadfastness will outlast the shifting opinions around you. Do not try to fight this battle with the same weapons that have caused the division. You are not contending against flesh and blood. Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart. The unity you long for in that institution will not be manufactured by human maneuvering. It will come when hearts bow to the Lord, when fear of Him overtakes pride and personal ambition. Pray that the Spirit of wisdom and understanding would rest upon those in authority, just as you have done. God is able to turn hearts. He can remove resistance born of self-interest and unite minds for the genuine good of those students.

Remember this: all the things that may be desired cannot compare to wisdom. Rubies, influence, even vindication, wisdom is better. The world’s wisdom will exhaust itself and come to nothing. Every plan not rooted in Christ will collapse under its own weight. But the work of your hands, when established by the Lord, will prosper. So walk faithfully, not striving to become the institution’s deliverer, but simply dwelling in the shelter of the Most High. He is your Advocate. He is your Defender. The righteous Judge will let truth prevail over confusion and integrity over manipulation. Your part is to stay close to Him, remain humble before His mighty hand, and let His wisdom be your teacher. He who called you is faithful, and He will do it.
