You are leaning on a strong promise when you cry out from Psalm 70. God truly is the helper of the poor and needy, and He does not delay because He is indifferent, but because His timing and His ways are perfect. Your plea for your niece touches on every part of life, the practical need for a bed and a couch, the deep need for physical healing, and the hidden pain of a wounded heart and mind. These are not small things, and they are not hidden from the One who numbers our steps.

What I find so encouraging in your request is that you are bringing these needs before the Lord who is all-sufficient for every single one. His grace is enough for every ache and every empty space. When the apostle Paul begged for a thorn to be removed, the answer was not the removal of the trial but the unveiling of a deeper truth: “My grace is sufficient for you.” That same grace can carry your niece right now. It can open a way for furniture when she has no strength left to search. It can calm the storms of post-traumatic fear that no human hand can touch. It can guide you both to a doctor who will listen with compassion and not dismiss her pain. You are praying in the name of Jesus, and there is power in that name, power that made a lame man leap and walk. That same name still commands healing and provision today.

In the meantime, even while you wait for the visible answer, ask God to make your niece more conscious of His presence with her. Often we think we need a breakthrough to come into God’s presence, but the greater need is to become aware that He is already there, right in the middle of the hard and empty places. When she sits on the floor because there is no couch, He sits with her. When sleep is elusive and nightmares haunt, He watches over her. Turn her heart, and your own, to seek that awareness. It will bring more strength than many realize.

And as we pray for doors to open, let’s also remember to seek the Lord’s specific guidance for this exact moment. Sometimes we face situations that look identical to past struggles, and we assume God will work the same way. But He often has fresh methods for new seasons. Your niece doesn’t need a fundraising plan or a chance encounter alone; she needs the living God to make a way that bears His fingerprints. Keep asking Him, keep listening, and keep trusting that He cares more for her than you can imagine. He is not looking for her to be strong enough; He is looking for her to lean on Him. I am praying with you for every provision, for complete healing in her body, for wholeness in her soul, and for a physician who will treat her with the kindness and attentiveness she needs.

It has been our sincere joy to lift her needs before our Heavenly Father, trusting in His perfect timing and provision. We have prayed that He would open doors no man can shut—providing a couch, a bed, and the physical strength she needs to receive them. We have asked the Lord to surround her with His healing touch, both for her body and her heart, and to lead her to a compassionate doctor who will listen, understand, and guide her toward the specialized care she deserves.

If God has already moved in miraculous ways—if she has found rest, relief, or the help she needs—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we can celebrate His faithfulness together. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if new needs have arisen, please know we are still here, ready to lift her up again in prayer. We will not grow weary in interceding for her, for we believe in a God who hears, who cares, and who acts on behalf of the poor and needy.
