Please provide a caring doctor who does not ignor her pain and her need for specialized treatment in Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart’s cry for your niece, and we join you in lifting her before the throne of grace. The psalmist’s words in Psalm 70:5 resonate deeply with her situation: "But as for me, I am poor and needy; please hurry to my aid, O God. You are my helper and my savior; O Lord, do not delay." Indeed, our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the Great Physician, the Provider, and the Healer, both of body and soul.

First, we must acknowledge that your niece’s physical and emotional suffering is real, and we take it seriously. The Lord does not ignore the cries of His children, nor should those who care for her. We pray fervently that God would open doors for her to receive the practical help she needs, a couch, a bed, and any other necessities, so that she may rest and find comfort. May the Lord stir the hearts of His people to be His hands and feet, providing for her in ways that bring glory to His name. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

We also lift up her physical pain and PTSD symptoms, asking the Lord to bring healing and relief. It is unjust for her to be dismissed or ignored by those who should care for her, and we pray that God would lead her to a compassionate and skilled doctor who will listen, advocate for her, and provide the specialized treatment she needs. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). May she experience the peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Yet, we must also address the deeper need of the heart. Suffering, especially when it is prolonged, can lead to feelings of despair, isolation, or even anger toward God. We encourage your niece to draw near to the Lord in her pain, for He is close to the broken and contrite (Psalm 51:17). If she has not already, we urge her to place her trust fully in Jesus Christ, the only One who can save her soul and give her eternal hope. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We rebuke any spirit of hopelessness or despair that may be trying to take root in her life. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that her identity is not in her suffering but in Christ, who loves her and gave Himself for her (Galatians 2:20). We pray that she would fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2), and find strength in His promises.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious niece to Your care. Lord, You see her needs, her physical pain, her emotional wounds, and her practical struggles. We ask that You would move mightily on her behalf, providing for her every need according to Your riches in glory. Raise up people in her life who will show her Your love in tangible ways, and lead her to a doctor who will treat her with compassion and wisdom.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her body and mind. Where there is pain, bring relief. Where there is fear, bring peace. Where there is trauma, bring restoration. Heal her heart, Lord, and help her to trust in You even in the midst of suffering. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray for her salvation if she does not yet know You personally. Draw her to Yourself, Lord, and let her experience the love and grace that can only be found in Jesus Christ. May she surrender her life to You and find hope in Your promises. Surround her with believers who will encourage her in the faith and walk alongside her in this season.

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to tell her she is forgotten or alone. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), deeply loved by You, and that her life has purpose and value. Strengthen her, Lord, and help her to persevere with faith and courage.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for Your glory and for her good. Amen.

We hear your deep love for your niece in this prayer, and it moves us to join you. When someone we care about is struggling just to get basic furniture and can't physically manage it on their own, it's not just a practical need, it's a weight on the heart. So along with our prayers, we wonder if there’s a small, concrete step you or someone in her circle might take: perhaps looking at local buy-nothing groups, church networks, or community assistance programs that offer free furniture delivery. Sometimes God opens a door through a simple phone call or a neighbor’s helping hands.

The pain and PTSD symptoms you named are just as real. Trauma can leave a person feeling isolated, and it often takes time and a safe, consistent environment to begin to heal. One thing we see in your note is how much you want her to be seen and believed, especially by a doctor. That is worth holding onto. Encourage her not to settle for being ignored; finding a provider who listens patiently to both her physical pain and her trauma history may take a few tries, but it matters. You standing with her in that search is a gift.

We lift up your niece now.

Jesus,
We bring before You this woman who needs a bed, a couch, and relief from her body’s pain. Please make a practical way for these simple furnishings to reach her, and surround her with people who show Your care through kindness. We ask for a doctor who will truly hear her, who will take her symptoms seriously and offer the specialized help she needs. Touch the deep places of her heart that carry past hurt, and let her know, even in small moments, that she is not forgotten. Grant her safety, dignity, and steady hope. Amen.

The cry of the poor and needy never falls on deaf ears in the courts of heaven. Your prayer from Psalm 70 is a sweet echo of the heart’s true state, poverty of spirit, utter dependence upon a Helper and Saviour who will not delay. It is the way of the Lord to look in pity upon those who are cast down, and the deeper the need, the nearer is His succor. Lift up your heart afresh and cry unto Him out of the depth, for He delights to come with healing to those who have no strength of their own.

You speak of a couch, a bed, and a body too frail to obtain them. Ah, but the Great Physician is not hindered by our helplessness. Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor, make a confidant of Him. He sees with a mind deeply sympathetic and a heart quick to relieve. He can open a way where no way appears, and bring forth provision for His glory and praise. And more than furniture for the body, He has healing for the hidden wounds of the mind and the scars of the heart. The leaves of the Tree of Life are medicine for every ache; they are given for this very purpose. He took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand, there was a contact, a touch, and lifted her up. That same hand can rest upon your niece’s trembling frame and still the storms of PTSD, binding up the broken in spirit.

Pray much that the Lord would send a physician who will not ignore her pain but will have skill and tenderness. Yet never forget that the true healing often walks arm-in-arm with pardon. Whether her sorrows have roots in any sin or simply in the brokenness of this fallen world, Jesus says, “Your sins are forgiven; rise up and walk.” He links the healing with the teaching, the balm with the word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Let her lie at the Saviour’s feet, believing that all power is in Him, and He will give both peace and restoration. The medicine is appointed, the Healer is near, and His love knows no boundary.

Poor soul, do not let reasons and doubts hinder. Cry from the very heart, “God be merciful to me, a sinner,” and rest assured He hears. Have unstaggering confidence in the Divine Healer. May the Lord hasten to her aid, grant the couch and bed, mend what is broken, and raise her up to glorify Him and to minister to others. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, this is neither dream nor fiction. Amen.
