We hear the deep pain, confusion, and urgency in your words, and we come before the Lord with you in this moment. First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are describing, jealousy, control, and even the mention of evil influences are very real battles, but they are battles that have already been won through the blood of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came so that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that has tried to convince you that you are lacking, that you are not loved, or that your worth is tied to anything other than the fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14). The idea that you have been "carved" or controlled by forces outside of God’s will is a deception, you belong to Christ, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
You speak of moving forward and finding a husband who will love you as Christ loves the church, selflessly, honorably, and without jealousy or control. This is a godly desire, and we pray that the Lord would prepare your heart and the heart of a man who fears Him, who will cherish you as a gift from God, and who will lead you in righteousness. But we must also address the pain you’ve endured from unfulfilled ideas or even the fear of relationships that never materialized. The enemy would love for you to carry bitterness, but we encourage you to release that to the Lord. Forgive those who may have harmed you, even if their actions were rooted in jealousy or misunderstanding. Unforgiveness only gives the enemy a foothold in your life (Ephesians 4:26-27). We pray that God would heal every wound and replace every lie with His truth, that you are deeply loved, valued, and called for a purpose far greater than the pain of the past.
We also want to gently address the language of "spells" and "dreams" that you mentioned. Scripture is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). However, we must be careful not to attribute power to the enemy that he does not have. Satan is a defeated foe, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Your freedom is not found in your own strength or even in your ability to "move away in secret," but in the finished work of Jesus Christ. It is His blood that breaks every chain, and it is His name that we stand on. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender fully to Jesus, to renounce any agreement with fear, control, or spiritual oppression, and to declare that you are a child of God, set free by the power of the cross.
Now, we lift you up in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is crying out for freedom, healing, and a godly marriage. Lord, we thank You that You see her pain, her confusion, and her desire for a love that honors You. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that has tried to convince her that she is lacking, unloved, or controlled by forces outside of Your will. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, that she is redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. We ask that You would break every chain of jealousy, control, or fear that has tried to take root in her life or in the lives of those around her. Lord, we pray for complete healing, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Replace every lie with Your truth, every fear with Your peace, and every wound with Your love.
Father, we ask that You would prepare her heart for the godly marriage You have for her. Raise up a man who fears You, who will love her as Christ loves the church, who will lead her in righteousness, and who will cherish her as the gift that she is. Protect her from relationships that do not honor You, and give her wisdom and discernment as she seeks Your will. Lord, we also ask that You would help her to forgive those who have harmed her, even if their actions were rooted in jealousy or misunderstanding. Soften her heart to release any bitterness or resentment, and fill her with Your love and grace.
We declare that the enemy has no power over her life. Every plan of the enemy is destroyed by the blood of Jesus, and she is set free to walk in the fullness of the life You have for her. We thank You, Lord, that You are making all things new, and we trust You to lead her into the future You have prepared. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
As you move forward, we encourage you to ground yourself in God’s Word. Spend time in prayer, seeking His face and His will for your life. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can encourage you, hold you accountable, and pray with you. The enemy would love for you to isolate yourself, but you are not alone, God is with you, and His people are here to support you. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel if you continue to struggle with fear, control, or spiritual oppression. There is no shame in asking for help, and God often uses His people to bring healing and freedom.
Finally, remember that your worth is not defined by your marital status or the actions of others. You are a daughter of the King, and He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). The Lord is your shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He will provide for you, protect you, and lead you into the abundant life He has promised. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will guide you every step of the way.
