We hear your heartfelt cry for provision and opportunity, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. First, we want to affirm your acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as Lord, this is the foundation of all true blessing and provision. As Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Your trust in Him is not misplaced, for He is faithful to provide for His children.
We also recognize the desire for a remote job or the means to start a business. Work is a gift from God, and He equips His people with skills, creativity, and opportunities to steward for His glory. Proverbs 16:3 encourages us, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." Whether through employment or entrepreneurship, we pray that God would open doors that no man can shut and grant you favor in the eyes of those who can help you.
However, we must also encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in this pursuit. James 4:13-15 warns against presumption, saying, "Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow... Instead, you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live and do this or that.'"
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who provides for all our needs. Lord, You see the heart of Your child who seeks honest work and provision. We ask that You would open the right doors, a remote job that aligns with their skills and calling, or the resources to start a business that honors You. Grant them wisdom to discern Your will, patience to wait on Your timing, and diligence to work as unto You. Protect them from discouragement and guide their steps according to Your perfect plan. May this season of seeking draw them closer to You, and may their labor bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."
We also encourage you to reflect on Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Surrender your plans to Him, and He will direct your steps. If you have not already, consider seeking godly counsel from fellow believers who can pray with you and offer practical wisdom.
Lastly, if there are any areas of your life where you may be holding back from full obedience to God, whether in finances, relationships, or personal habits, we encourage you to examine your heart and align with His Word. Sometimes, God uses seasons of waiting to refine us and prepare us for what He has ahead. Trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.
