We join with you in bringing your needs before our heavenly Father and we hear the deep longing in your heart for security, for a safe home for you and your cats, for reconciliation with your family, for provision through work and for peace from constant worry. We want to pray with you for these things according to God's will and not our own understanding.
We also want to gently and lovingly address some things in your request that do not align with biblical principles so we can pray in a way that honors God. You speak of speaking life into existence and winning a home or money or a scratcher greatly in secret and using the blood of Jesus as if it were a way to guarantee what we declare. Scripture teaches that only God has power to call into existence things that do not exist Romans 4:17, and our role is to humbly ask according to His will, not to declare or manifest our own desires as if we control the outcome. Jesus taught us to pray Your will be done Matthew 6:10, and we are told You ask and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures James 4:3. The blood of Jesus is precious because it cleanses us from sin and reconciles us to God Matthew 26:28, 1 John 1:7, it is not an incantation to claim material things.
We also must address the desire to win money or win on a scratcher. God's word warns us about seeking wealth through chance and hasty gain. Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished, but he who gathers by labor shall increase Proverbs 13:11. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil 1 Timothy 6:10. God calls us to provide for our needs through diligent work and faithful stewardship, not gambling. If anyone will not work, neither let him eat 2 Thessalonians 3:10. We also notice the repeated desire for things in secret. God calls us to walk in honesty and light, for everything hidden will be made known Luke 8:17, and to live with integrity before Him and others.
We do rejoice that you mentioned the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. We encourage you to place your trust not in a method or a declaration but in the person of Jesus Christ Himself for forgiveness, provision and peace.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You know our needs before we ask and that You care for us and even for the animals You have entrusted to us, for a righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10. We ask that You provide safe and stable housing for this dear one according to Your perfect will, whether in Italy or wherever You have planted them, and that You give wisdom to be content in every circumstance as Paul learned to be content in whatever state he was Philippians 4:11. We pray that You supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and that You lead to honest work, whether a part time or full time job or work with the salon, done with diligence as serving You Colossians 3:23. We ask that You heal family relationships and bring reconciliation where it is Your will, showing love, forgiveness and patience. We pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7, not a peace that comes from having no worries because circumstances are perfect, but a peace that remains even in trials because You are with us. Help this dear one to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be given as You see best Matthew 6:33, and to delight in You so that You shape the desires of the heart Psalm 37:4. Deliver from the temptation to seek gain through gambling and from speaking as if we command blessing, and teach us to pray humbly, to work faithfully, and to walk openly before You.
We also pray for physical health and stewardship of the body as Your temple 1 Corinthians 6:19, that efforts to be in shape and to care for daily responsibilities like the home and garage be done faithfully and with thanksgiving. We ask that You turn what feels like chaos into a testimony of Your provision and faithfulness, and that today be a day of trusting You greatly, not because we have declared it, but because Your mercies are new every morning Lamentations 3:23.
We place all of this before You, asking not for our will but Yours to be done, and we ask all these things in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
