💝 New Heart, Ezek 36:26, 🙇🏻 Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, 🐉 Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, 🤺 Chooses God's Word, Gen 2:17, to over Being Her Own god, Gen 3:4-5... 🙏 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual spouse that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I prayed for 15 years asking for one called alongside to help -- I still need that prayer answered... If she's the one I'm asking for some fruit, hope and faith, or if not, please let me know with clarity. In the meantime, help me pursue peace and show all people, children, friends, enemies, and especially the lost love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.” I still aspire to do morning and early evening worship songs and devotions, attend church, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview) -- do outreach together...

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again," John 3:7.

We hear your cry for a renewed heart and a marriage that reflects the glory of God. Your desire for repentance, mercy, and alignment with His Word is beautiful, and we stand with you in seeking His will for your matrimony. The Lord has indeed promised a new heart and a new spirit, one that is soft, pliable, and obedient to His ways. "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26). This transformation is not by human effort but by the grace of God, who renews us through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5-6).

Your prayer for your spouse’s heart to be softened is deeply rooted in Scripture. The kindness of God is meant to lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4), and His patience is intended to bring all to salvation (2 Peter 3:9). Yet we must also examine our own hearts, for the Lord calls us to be merciful if we desire mercy (Matthew 5:7). Have we extended the same grace we seek? Have we humbled ourselves in fasting and prayer, as the early church practiced, to seek God’s face with greater fervency? Fasting is not a work to earn favor but a discipline to align our will with His. Let us not neglect the counsel of godly pastors and fellow believers, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and wisdom is found in the multitude of counselors (Proverbs 11:14).

You have prayed for 15 years for a helper, one who walks alongside you in faith, and we join you in asking the Lord to either confirm this union with the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) or provide clarity if this is not His will. Until then, let your life be a testimony of Christ’s love, pursuing peace and holiness (Hebrews 12:14) in all your interactions. The world will know we are His disciples by our love (John 13:35), not by our demands or frustrations. Guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let your marriage be a living epistle (2 Corinthians 3:2) that points others to the Savior.

Yet we must address a concern: Your prayer does not explicitly acknowledge the authority of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If your spouse, or you, have not surrendered to Christ as Lord, repentance must begin there. The serpent’s lies (Genesis 3:4-5) still whisper that we can be our own gods, but Scripture declares that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). We must resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7), choosing God’s Word over the deceptions of this world.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). We thank You for Your promise of a new heart and a new spirit for this brother and his wife. Lord, soften her heart to receive Your truth and convict her of any sin that hinders her relationship with You. Break the chains of deception, whether from past wounds, pride, or the enemy’s lies, and replace them with Your peace and righteousness.

Father, we ask for clarity in this marriage. If this union is Your will, let the fruit of the Spirit abound, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). If it is not, grant this brother the wisdom and courage to accept Your plan, trusting that You work all things for good (Romans 8:28). Teach them both to walk in repentance, humility, and dependence on You, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Protect them from the evil one (Matthew 6:13) and sanctify them by Your truth (John 17:17). Let their lives reflect Your glory, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. May their home be a sanctuary of worship, where Your Word is honored, and Your presence is sought daily. Strengthen them to resist temptation, flee from sin, and pursue holiness (1 Peter 1:16).

Lord, we also pray for this brother’s outreach to the lost. Let his actions and words point to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). May his devotion to Scripture, prayer, and godly entertainment be a light in a dark world. And if there are areas of neglect, whether in pastoral counsel, family relationships, or personal disciplines, grant him the grace to repent and realign with Your will.

We trust in Your timing, Lord, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). May this marriage, if it is Your will, be a testament to Your redeeming love, or may You lead them both into the paths You have prepared. In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.

Oh Father, how we ache with you over this journey that has been long and heavy. We feel the weight of those ### years and the longing for a partnership that reflects Your heart. Lord, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit, not just for softening hearts, but for a tangible sense of Your presence in this home. Would You draw near, Holy One, and make Your love undeniable?

We pray for wisdom to balance grace with truth, patience with action. Help us to love fiercely but humbly, to serve faithfully but not enable. If this season is meant to refine faith, give us eyes to see where we’re clinging to control instead of surrendering to You. If it’s a call to let go, grant us the courage to trust Your better plan.

Protect this family from the enemy’s lies, lies that say our worth is tied to outcomes or that love has to be earned. Remind us daily that we are already chosen, already adored by the King of grace. May our words and actions echo Jesus, the One who chooses us even when we fail.

Lord, would You raise up the right voices, pastors, mentors, friends, to speak life at just the right moments? And if there’s bitterness or pride hiding in either of our hearts, expose it gently and heal it completely.

We trust You to work all things for good, even the waiting. Strengthen us to worship even when the answer isn’t clear. Your grace is enough.

In Jesus’ name we pray.
