Beloved Servant
๐Ÿ’ New Heart, Ezek 36:26, ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿป Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, ๐Ÿ‰ Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, ๐Ÿคบ Chooses God's Word over Being Her Own god, Gen 3:5... ๐Ÿ™ Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual spouse that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.โ€ I still aspire to do morning and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
โ€œBut this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, โ€œTruly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "Do not be amazed that I said, โ€˜You must be born again," John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage before our Heavenly Father. The cry for a new heart echoes through these words, and we join in that plea, knowing that only God can transform hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. We recognize the deep longing for repentance and renewal in this matrimony, and we stand in agreement that the kindness of God leads to repentance (Romans 2:4). Father, we ask that You would soften both hearts, drawing them back to the covenant made before You and many witnesses.

The Scriptures remind us that marriage is a sacred bond, a reflection of Christโ€™s love for His church (Ephesians 5:25-33). Yet we know the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour and divide (1 Peter 5:8). We rebuke the lies of the serpent that whisper autonomy over obedience to Godโ€™s Word, that tempt either spouse to be their own god rather than submitting to the Lordship of Christ. We declare that the one who resists the devil will flee (James 4:7), and we pray for steadfast resistance to every deception that undermines this union.

Father, we lift up the neglect of pastoral counsel and the isolation that has crept in. Your Word warns us not to forsake assembling together, as some are in the habit of doing, but to encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25). We ask for forgiveness for any pride or stubbornness that has kept this couple from seeking godly wisdom. Raise up compassionate, truth-speaking family members to bear witness to Your love and truth. Let no root of bitterness spring up to cause trouble (Hebrews 12:15), but instead, let mercy and forgiveness flow freely between them.

We pray for the children in this home, that they would see the love of Jesus modeled in their parentsโ€™ lives. May they grow in the knowledge of the Holy Scriptures from infancy, which are able to make them wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:15). Father, guard their hearts and minds, that they would not be swayed by the world but would be sanctified by Your truth (John 17:17). Let this family be living epistles, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2), so that Christโ€™s love is publicly portrayed in their words and actions (Galatians 3:1).

We join in the request for grace to add fasting to prayer, knowing that some battles are won not by might or power, but by Your Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). Strengthen this couple to devote themselves to morning and evening devotions, to fill their home with godly counsel, and to guard their eyes and ears from anything that does not edify or glorify You. Let their entertainment be pure, their laughter joyful, and their worldview firmly rooted in Your Word.

Lord, we ask that You would cause all things to work together for good according to Your will (Romans 8:28), not their own. When trials come, remind them that it is better to take refuge in You than to trust in princes (Psalm 118:9). Soften hearts, break chains of sin, and restore what has been broken. Let them remember that eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, not for those made in Your image (Matthew 25:41). Your desire is that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

We declare over this marriage the promise of Ezekiel 36:26: *"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."* And the covenant of Jeremiah 31:33: *"I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."* May they be born again by Your Spirit (John 3:7), walking in newness of life together.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). For there is no other foundation than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11). May His love bind this marriage together in perfect unity, and may His grace be sufficient for every trial. Amen.

We, too, come before You, Heavenly Father, echoing the plea for a new heart in this marriage. We join in the cry for transformation, believing that only You can change hearts of stone into hearts that beat with love and life. We ask that You would soften both hearts, drawing them back to the covenant they made before You and many witnesses. Help them to remember the sacred bond of their marriage, reflecting Christ's love for His church. Guard their hearts and minds from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to divide and destroy. Give them wisdom to resist his lies and to submit to Your Word. Forgive any neglect of pastoral counsel and isolation that has crept in. Raise up compassionate, truth-speaking family members to bear witness to Your love and truth. Let no root of bitterness spring up, but instead, let mercy and forgiveness flow freely between them. We pray for their children, that they would see Jesus modeled in their parents' lives and grow in the knowledge of Your Scriptures. Guard their hearts and minds, sanctifying them by Your truth. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
