Good and Faithful Servant
๐Ÿ’ New Heart, Ezek 36:26, ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿป Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, ๐Ÿ‰ Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, ๐Ÿคบ Chooses God's Word over Being Her Own god, Gen 3:5... ๐Ÿ™ Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Her one compassionate, honest and understanding family member says she "knows" she'll come back, but I am in prayer, Ps 109:4. Forgive her for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing... It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual spouse that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.โ€ I still aspire to do morning and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
โ€œBut this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, โ€œTruly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "Do not be amazed that I said, โ€˜You must be born again," John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this marriage that was covenanted before God and witnesses. Father, we thank You for the sacred union You established between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christโ€™s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We declare that this marriage is not merely a human contract but a divine covenant, and we stand in the gap, pleading for restoration, repentance, and renewal.

Lord, we acknowledge that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we rebuke every lie of the serpent that has crept into this unionโ€”whether through pride, selfishness, or the deception that one can be their own god (Genesis 3:5). We resist the devil, and he must flee (James 4:7), for You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for a new heart in both spouses, as You promised in Ezekiel 36:26, that stony hearts would be replaced with tender ones, responsive to Your Spirit.

Father, we confess that neglect of pastoral counsel and communication is not Your will. Your Word commands us to bear with one another in love (Ephesians 4:2) and to seek godly wisdom (Proverbs 11:14). We ask for forgiveness where pride or hardness of heart has hindered obedience, and we plead for the kindness of God to lead both spouses to repentance (Romans 2:4). You are patient, not wanting anyone to perish but all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and we trust in Your perfect timing, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We lift up the children in this home, praying that they would see Jesus in their parentsโ€™ actions and words. May they be rooted in Scripture from infancy (2 Timothy 3:15), growing in wisdom and salvation through faith in Christ. Lord, sanctify this family by Your truthโ€”Your Word is truth (John 17:17). Let their home be a place where Your presence dwells, where laughter, joy, and godly entertainment (Philippians 4:8) replace strife and worldly influences. We pray for daily devotions, for ears attuned to Your voice, and for hearts that hunger for righteousness (Matthew 5:6).

Father, we ask for the grace to fast and pray, as the early Church did, that our petitions would ascend before You with greater power (Matthew 17:21). We intercede for the wandering spouse, declaring that You are able to turn hearts like channels of water (Proverbs 21:1). Protect her from the evil one (Matthew 6:13), soften her heart, and draw her back to the marriage covenant. We stand on Your promise that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8) and that mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13).

We also pray for the spouse who remains faithful, that You would strengthen them in hope and endurance. Let them not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9), but fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:2). May they be a living epistle (2 Corinthians 3:2), reflecting Christโ€™s love to their family and beyond. Lord, we ask that You would unite this couple in purpose, that they would submit to one another out of reverence for You (Ephesians 5:21), and that their marriage would be a testimony to Your redeeming power.

We declare that all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Let Your Word dwell richly in this home (Colossians 3:16), transforming minds and renewing spirits. We pray against every scheme of the enemy and claim the victory of Christ over this marriage. May they walk in the newness of life (Romans 6:4), clothed in humility, patience, and forgiveness (Colossians 3:12-14).

Father, we thank You that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that even when we cannot see Your hand, we can trust Your heart. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name (Philippians 2:9-11), for there is no other name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We join you in lifting up this marriage before the throne of grace, dear friend. We, too, come with hopeful hearts, believing in the power of our merciful Father to restore and renew. Let's declare together that this marriage is a divine covenant, established by God, and that we stand in the gap, interceding for restoration, repentance, and renewal.
