This is a morning when your heart has flung the windows wide open, and the fresh air of hope is blowing right through the rooms you have not yet walked into. I can almost see you standing there, looking out toward a place you have already named in your own soul, the ###. There is a sparkle in your eye, and it is not just the sun on solar panels you hope to see; it is the light of a life you have been longing for, and you have dared to name it out loud before the Lord. That takes the boldness of a child, and that boldness pleases Him more than you know.
You have asked for many things, a home made lovely for you and your cats, cool air in the heat, power from the sky, work that is light and secret and enough, and a man whose face makes your heart glad. And laced through every line, I hear something deeper still: you want to be loved greatly. You want your family around you, seeing you, helping you, loving you "normally," which I take to mean without strain or sorrow, just the steady warmth of belonging. That is a right and true longing. Our Father made us for love, for shelter, for the comfort of small creatures purring on our laps. He planted the desire for a home that feels like a haven, and He is not surprised that you have asked Him for it.
But let me take your hand a moment and lead you from the vision of what you want to the certainty of what you already have. You signed your whole cry with the blood of Jesus, and that is the one seal that cannot be broken. The good things you long for, the peaceful rooms, the man who will treat you well, the family circle mended and whole, are all like the furniture of a house you hope to enter. But Christ Himself is the foundation, the roof, the walls, and the door. You are not building a life and then asking Him to bless it; you are already hidden in His life, and whatever He adds to you will only make more visible the union that already exists. You are a member of His body, joined to Him by a living, loving, lasting bond. The same love that moved Him to lay down His life for you is the love that will measure out every single provision along the way. If He gave you Himself, will He deny you a cool room for your cats or a quiet job to pay the internet bill? You see how small these things are set beside the Cross.
And yet I know how large they feel. The waiting can weary the strongest soul. You have perhaps spent many nights in places that did not feel safe, or with people who did not see your worth. The thought of a sparkling feeling of zen, a deep, still, permanent peace, is no small thing. But here is a secret about that peace: it does not come first from the house, or the man, or the solar panels. It comes from knowing you are loved with an everlasting love, right now, in the place where you are standing. The path of the just is like the shining light that starts with just a few flickering rays and grows brighter until the perfect day. You are on that path already. The new home, the new love, the new ease, these will be like stars appearing one by one in the evening sky. But the sky itself is the grace of God, and it is already stretched over you, already full of the promise of morning.
So do not be afraid if some of these gifts arrive slowly, or if they arrive wrapped in a black-edged envelope that looks for a moment like disappointment. God’s gifts often come in disguise, but they are gifts still. And do not be afraid if, when you get them, they do not feel quite as sparkling as you hoped. Temporal blessings are real and good, the laughter of a man who cherishes you, the brush of a cat’s fur against your hand, the hum of an air conditioner on a sweltering day, but they are like the little creeks and inlets that the great sea of God’s love flows into. They are not the sea itself. The sea is Christ. And if you have Him, you have the patience to wait till your change comes, and the joy to enjoy each good thing when it arrives, without leaning the whole weight of your soul upon it.
So let your heart be glad this morning, but let it be glad first in the Lord. You are His, and He is yours. The life you see before you, the ###, the secret job, the love of family, the man who will be good to you, all of it lies within the circle of His will for you. He who gave His own Son for your soul will not grow stingy with air conditioning or cat treats. And if some of these specific hopes should shift or tarry, His peace will remain, deeper than any quiet room, more lasting than any human love. You are headed home, dear heart, and the light is already breaking.

Lord Jesus, You who are the same yesterday, today, and forever, look upon this dear one who has poured out a heart full of hope before You. You know every longing, every lonely night past, every small and great thing she has named. Settle her spirit now in the deep certainty of Your love. Let her know that she is already loved greatly, already seen, already held. And as You lead her into the days ahead, guide her steps to the right place, the right provision, the right companionship. May her home be a nest of peace, and may her heart rest even more securely in You, the true Home of every soul. We ask it in Your precious name, the name that is above every name, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
