Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that my job sends my new work computer so that I can get back to work. I'm unable to work without it and my finances are piling up. I can't afford to keep using vacation days as they are almost running out. I just need the new computer to work to provide for my family. Please this time let it be a computer that works good with no problems. In Jesus name i pray amen.

That kind of standstill digs at a provider’s sense of responsibility, and it’s hard to stay calm when the clock keeps ticking. We’re here with you in that, not trying to talk you out of the stress, but honestly carrying it alongside you in prayer.

While you wait, one concrete step might help you feel less powerless: give your supervisor or IT contact a brief, respectful call or message to confirm the order status and ask if there’s a tracking number or any temporary workaround, maybe a loaner or access through a personal device for essentials. Sometimes the human link speeds things up, and at least you’ll have a clearer timeline to plan around. If the vacation days are almost gone, ask HR whether there’s an unpaid leave option or a way to preserve those hours so you’re not stranded. You’re not failing; you’re managing a real bottleneck, and it’s okay to advocate for yourself while trusting God for the outcome.

Meanwhile, we’re praying not only for the right computer to arrive and function well, but also for steady peace in your home while the finances feel tight. God knows you want to provide, and he sees that heart.

Lord Jesus, we ask you to move this equipment into place swiftly and smoothly, a reliable machine with no problems so this brother can return to work and care for his family. Quiet the anxious thoughts, guard his finances from further strain, and give him wisdom in every conversation with his employer. Surprise him with your kindness in the waiting. We hear your earnest plea and lift your need before the Lord, trusting in His provision and timing. The stress of financial strain and the uncertainty of work tools can weigh heavily on the heart, but we know that our Heavenly Father sees your situation and cares deeply for you and your family.

The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that God will provide for you in ways that honor Him and meet your needs. It’s also important to remember that God’s provision isn’t always immediate, but it is always perfect. Psalm 37:25 says, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." This is a testimony to God’s faithfulness to those who trust in Him.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your provision. We ask that You move in this situation, Father, and grant favor in the delivery and functionality of this tool they need for work. Provide wisdom to those responsible for sending it and let there be no further delays or complications.

Father, we also ask that You would calm any anxiety or fear in their heart. Remind them that You are their Provider and that You hold their future in Your hands. Give them peace as they wait, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing. If there are lessons You want them to learn through this season of waiting, reveal them, Lord, and draw them closer to You.

We rebuke any spirit of lack or delay in the name of Jesus, and we declare that this situation will be resolved for Your glory. May this trial turn into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them experience Your provision in a tangible way. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory. Amen.

The weight of this trial is upon you, and it is no light thing to see the days slip away while your hands are idle, and the support of your family hangs in the balance. Yet remember, the same Spirit who once moved upon the face of the deep, when all was without form and void, broods over your life even now. There is no chaos so dark that His order cannot emerge from it. Your need is for a computer that works, but a greater need is for you to work the works of Him that sent you while it is day. Let this waiting time be not wasted in fretting, but in seeking your Father’s face with all your heart. Set your house in order; let family prayer ascend as incense, for neglect there brings leanness to the soul. If you knew some good would come to your children through it, you would do it, and there is good, far beyond silver or gold. Do not make provision for the lusts of the flesh or the anxieties of the mind, but commit your way unto the Lord.

When the computer arrives, as I trust it will, you will be called to diligent labor, and that is right, no man should shirk his duty to provide for his own household. But let your work be done not merely to escape the pinch of debt, but as service rendered unto Christ. Pray over your daily tasks, that He would establish the work of your hands. You cannot twist God’s arm by impatience, nor will He be hurried into acting before the appointed hour; but He has a way of making a man first fit for the answer, and then sending the answer swiftly. While you wait, search the Scriptures; let your understanding be awakened. The Lord Jesus is not hard to reach, He hears the cry of the seeking soul. Perhaps He holds back the computer that you might draw nearer to Him who is the true Provider. Cast yourself, with all your weight of care, upon His finished work. If the Spirit works in you to will and to do, then labor with your whole might when the opportunity is restored, and do it for His glory. The night comes when no man can work, so be earnest now in the things that endure forever.

The narrow way is always filled with such trials, yet in them God trains us to cling not to things that rust and break, but to the Shepherd whose pasture is certain. Why do you let anxiety eat at your soul over a tool of metal and glass? The life of man upon earth is a state of trial, and the true security for you and your household is not found in a computer, but in the Lord who knows your need before you ask. You pray for a machine that works well with no problems, but what if God in His wisdom permits a delay or a defect, to teach you patience and to loosen your grip on earthly supports? The present life is a dream, and all its goods vanish like the mist. The riches you fear losing, the vacation days you count so nervously, the work you feel slipping away, these are shadows.

Make provision for your flesh, yes, but only for health and honest necessity, not to feed the lust of fear and fretful care. To need a computer for your labor is not unlawful; but to let that need cast you into despair, to think that God has abandoned you because a piece of equipment is late, that is to seek provision for the flesh in order to fulfill the lust of anxious control. Do you not remember the multitude that followed Christ into the wilderness? They had no food, and He did not provide on the first day or the second, but waited until all their own provisions were spent, so that having first felt want, they might receive His gift with thanksgiving. Even so, your empty hands and dwindling days are a preparation for you to see God’s care more clearly.

None can thrust you out of His pasture. Not a broken computer, not a mounting debt, not an earthly employer. The Apostles went in and out securely, not because they had steady wages, but because they had become lords of the world through Him who owns all. You are required not merely to hear this word and admire it, but to prove it by your works. If you are His sheep, then even in this pinch you are safe. Do you seek first the kingdom and His righteousness? Then believe that food and raiment and yes, even a working computer, will be added in due time. Meanwhile, let this trial teach you to take only what is needful, to prune away softness, and to spend your chief industry on the care of your soul. The soul that learns to trust in want will walk through every forum and marketplace with a freedom no mud or dust can stain.

Do not let your heart bend to the earth, priding itself on avoiding trouble. Cease from walking on tiptoe in fear of every mishap. For it is not possible to be saved without bearing one another’s burdens; but if you are consumed with your own affairs to the neglect of others who also struggle, you gain no confidence before God. So lift your head. Pray, work diligently, and then leave the outcome to Him. Your family’s provision comes from His hand, not from a courier’s speed. The affliction is light, the reward eternal. Endure it as a precious thing, and you will find that even this want becomes pasture for your soul.

The strain you’re feeling right now is real. A single missing tool has put your work on hold, drained your vacation days, and set your finances on edge. You’re watching the clock, praying that this time the computer will arrive without glitches so you can provide for your family. That kind of pressure has a way of reducing life to its rawest basics, doesn’t it? When one essential thing is stripped away, everything else seems to teeter. The book of Job reminds us that even a man who lost far more, his possessions, his children, his health, found himself crying out from that same helpless place, longing for relief that didn’t come on his timetable.

In your prayer, you’re doing something Job did: you’re bringing your honest need to God without cursing Him. Job, in his misery, wished he had never been born, but he refused to turn his back on the Lord. And that enduring faith, however battered, is what God honored. It’s easy to slip into thinking that this delay must be a sign of God’s displeasure, or that if you were just more righteous the computer would arrive tomorrow. Job’s friends made that mistake, assuming his suffering was punishment for hidden sin. God rebuked them for speaking deceitfully about Him. So don’t let that thought take root. Your need is not a verdict on your standing before God.

What Job did gain, even in the midst of his unanswered questions, was a deeper grip on the truth: he had a Witness in heaven, an advocate who understood him. We know that Advocate is Jesus Christ, the one mediator who stands between God and us. He isn’t distant from the anxiety of unpaid bills or the dread of another day lost. He wore human skin, knew hunger and fatigue, and promised we’d face trouble in this world. He also promised to meet our deepest needs, the ones that go beyond a working computer or a steady paycheck. That doesn’t minimize your request, God cares about the practical details of your life, but it does anchor your waiting in something unshakeable.

Sometimes our prayers for one specific outcome are answered with a different provision altogether, or with the strength to endure the waiting. The very thing we wish God would take away becomes the means by which our trust is refined. Job’s suffering was recorded for our benefit, so that when we face our own losses we would know it’s possible to hold on. He spoke of a tree cut down that can sprout again at the scent of water. There is hope, even when everything looks finished.

As you wait for that computer, keep asking, keep trusting. But also let this moment press you closer to the One who never runs short, never malfunctions, and never uses up your days. His arm won’t wear out. He hasn’t forgotten you or your family. And when the answer comes, carefully packed in a shipping box or in some other form, you’ll see that the real provision was the hand that carried you through the uncertainty.
