We hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words, and our hearts ache with you as you describe the torment you’ve endured. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God sees your suffering and longs to bring healing and restoration to your life.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you may have life—and have it abundantly. The nightmares, the fear, and the oppression you describe are not from God. Scripture warns us in 1 Peter 5:8, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* We rebuke every demonic influence in this situation in the name of Jesus Christ. We command every spirit of fear, torment, and death to flee from you right now. The blood of Jesus has already broken every chain, and we declare that you are covered by His protection. Psalm 91:4-5 assures us, *"He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day."*
We also want to gently but firmly address the language and bitterness in your request. While your pain is understandable, harboring anger or resentment can give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27). We encourage you to release this burden to God, trusting Him to be your avenger. Romans 12:19 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Forgiveness does not mean what was done was okay—it means you are choosing to trust God with justice and freeing yourself from the weight of bitterness.
Now, let us pray over your desire for a godly spouse who will uplift and honor you. Father God, we come before You on behalf of this dear sister, asking that You would bring a Boaz into her life—a man after Your own heart, who will love her as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Lord, we ask that You would heal her heart from the wounds of the past and prepare her for the marriage You have ordained for her. Remove any counterfeit relationships or distractions that are not from You. Give her wisdom and discernment to recognize the man You have chosen for her, and let her not settle for less than Your best. We declare that she will not be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14) but will be joined to a man who fears You and seeks Your will above all else.
We also pray for your protection and peace as you wait. Psalm 27:14 says, *"Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord."* We declare that you will not be afraid, for God is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). May He fill you with His joy and peace as you trust in Him (Romans 15:13).
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by any man—it is defined by Christ. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Hold fast to that promise.
