Your care for your director and her family during this frightening and uncertain time is a blessing, and we join you in bringing her husband before the Lord.
We do believe that God heals, and we believe it strongly. All healing is from Him. He has built healing processes into the body itself, and that design is itself divine because He is the one who created nature and its processes. At times He heals in a moment in a way that can only be called miraculous, at times He heals gradually through doctors, medicine, and the natural recovery He ordained, and at times His ultimate healing comes in eternity. Scripture is honest about this. Paul prayed for Timothy, who was like a son to him in the faith and who struggled with frequent illness, and yet Paul at one point simply encouraged him to use practical means for his stomach and ongoing infirmities rather than recording an instant divine touch. That reminds us not to fall into the hurtful idea that if someone remains sick it must be because of a lack of faith or hidden sin. God does not heal in every case in this present life in the way we ask, though He always hears and always acts in love.
We are praying that God will intervene for this husband and stop the falling and loss of balance that has brought him to the emergency room. We ask the Lord to give wisdom to the doctors as they run tests without clear answers, to guide them to the true cause, and to bring stability and strength back to his body. Whether through a sudden touch or through the gradual healing He has woven into our bodies and through medical care, we ask for His merciful hand to be evident.
We are also praying as you asked for peace for him, for his wife, and for their children through this storm. The deepest peace begins with peace with God, which comes only through Jesus Christ who has broken down the wall between us and God and made reconciliation possible. When we are no longer at war with God but have received forgiveness through Christ, the war inside begins to quiet. Jesus said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. That is a peace that keeps the heart and mind even when circumstances are still unsettled. The prophet wrote that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. And the apostles often greeted believers with grace and peace in that order, because we cannot truly know the peace of God until we first know the grace of God toward us in Christ. As we grow in knowing God and Jesus our Lord, grace and peace are multiplied to us.
So we pray that this family will know both the nearness of God and His sustaining peace that passes understanding guarding their hearts and minds. May their minds be able to rest on Him even while answers are still unclear, and may they sense that He is working all things for good and has not left them alone in this trial. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and those who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. We ask God to sow that kind of calm and trust in their home day by day.
Father, we lift this husband to You, ask for Your healing and for the balance issues to cease, ask for clarity for his medical team, and ask for Your perfect peace to keep this wife and children as they trust in You. In the name of Jesus, amen.

God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
