Isaiah 49:15Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne

We join you in this heavy and compassionate prayer for the suffering, the abandoned, and especially for the unborn and for families who have been broken and scattered.

Your heart to intercede for those who feel forsaken, for children without shelter, for wives abandoned by husbands and husbands abandoned by wives, for daughters and sons left alone, for brothers and sisters betrayed, and for neighborhoods in disorder is pleasing to God, for He is close to the brokenhearted. We hear the deep grief in your words concerning babies who die before birth, whether through abortion, miscarriage, or hatred and rejection by their own mother or father, and concerning families and generations that seem to be cut off and unable to see the next generation. The Lord sees each one.

We affirm what you have brought forward from scripture, that even when earthly parents forsake a child, the Lord will receive him. As it is written, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up Psalm 27:10. And again, Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you Isaiah 49:15. God does not forget the smallest and most helpless.

We must also speak plainly about the shedding of innocent blood. The word of God teaches that life begins in the womb and that each child is known and formed by Him. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13 and Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you Jeremiah 1:5. To despise, hate, or murder an unborn child is sin before a holy God, for God hates hands that shed innocent blood Proverbs 6:17 and You shall not murder Exodus 20:13. Abortion is not merely a choice but the taking of a human life made in the image of God Genesis 1:27. We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and death that would convince a mother or father to hate their own child, and we rebuke the ancient patterns of family destruction and generational brokenness that leave children without refuge. Yet we also proclaim that there is mercy and forgiveness through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We encourage anyone who has participated in or been wounded by abortion, abandonment, or betrayal to come to Jesus in repentance and faith, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and to receive His forgiveness and new life.

We also pray for those you described who have no house, no family, no friend to refuge or shelter them. God reveals Himself as A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation God sets the lonely in families Psalm 68:5-6. He promises, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid nor be scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is he who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6. And Jesus invites, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

So we pray together.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. We lift up every unborn child who has been despised, hated, aborted, or miscarried, and we entrust these innocent lives into Your merciful care, trusting that You receive them into Your presence, for Jesus said Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14. We ask Your mercy for every mother and father who has rejected their child, that You would bring conviction, repentance, and healing, and that You would forgive through the blood of Jesus. We pray for every abandoned wife, husband, daughter, son, brother, sister, and friend, and for every lonely child with no shelter, that You would be their refuge and provide for them godly families, homes, and shelter, and set the lonely in families. Heal the spirit of abandonment and the wounds of betrayal, and comfort those who are suffering, for You are near to those who have a broken heart, and save those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. Break the cycle of generational destruction and poverty, and let Your peace rest upon those who have gone before and upon those who remain. Lead this neighborhood and every disordered environment out of darkness into Your light, and raise up marriages and families that honor You, lifelong covenants between a man and a woman, to nurture children in Your love. We ask that all who feel forsaken would know they are not forgotten, that they are engraved on the palms of Your hands Isaiah 49:16. Grant rest in heaven for the little ones lost, and grant hope and restoration on earth for the living, that they may seek You and live. We pray all this in the precious and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our hope, amen.

We have read your prayer and we hear the deep ache behind it. You are carrying a heavy burden for neighbors and families who feel abandoned, for children without a home or refuge, and especially for unborn babies who are not welcomed. It is a tender and Christlike thing to bring them before God for mercy.

Grief like this, especially when it touches generations and whole communities, can feel overwhelming and lonely. It helps to remember that the losses you name are real and they matter to God, even when people around you have turned away or when there is no shelter to offer on your own.

We are praying with you and we also want to encourage you not to carry this alone. If this burden stays heavy, it can help to share it steadily with one trusted pastor or mature believer nearby who can pray with you in person and help you discern any practical way to support someone near you who lacks refuge.

Father, in Jesus name we bring before You every abandoned child and parent, every family without shelter, and every unborn life. Show Your mercy, give comfort where there is grief, and provide refuge and care where there is need. Keep our friend in Your peace as he continues to intercede. Amen.

May Lord Yeshua and Father God bless you for coming here to pray with us. And for being part of our community. May God richly bless you and help you. In Lord Yeshuas name

Your cry concerning the forsaken and the unborn has come before the Lord, and it is right to bring such sorrows to Him who heals the broken in heart.

The Scripture you have set down is true and full of comfort, Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, and Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb, yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. When father and mother, when husband and wife, when brother and sister and friend forsake, the Lord Himself undertakes for the desolate. He is a refuge where there is no house, a shelter where there is no family to receive, a Father to the fatherless and a home for the alone.

For the little ones despised and cast away, for those unborn who are hated or destroyed, we may indeed entrust them to the mercy of God, asking Him in the name of Jesus Christ to receive them into His care. God is love, but God is also just, as severely just as if He had no love, and yet as intensely loving as if He had no justice. Therefore we come with ropes about our necks, confessing that all shedding of innocent blood needs the pardoning blood of Christ, and we plead that mercy which is found only through Him who trod the winepress alone and cried, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me. He was forsaken of God in His hour of anguish that no poor sinner who puts His soul into Christ's hands need be utterly forsaken. His faith did not falter, and His double grip still holds, My God, My God, for those who trust Him.

To those of you who feel as bruised reeds and smoking flax, know this, the little saint is just as much God's elect as the great saint, and is just as safe. Christ will not break the bruised reed nor quench the smoking flax. The feeble, the guilty, the weak, the forlorn, in coming to Jesus shall not meet with scorn, but He will receive them and bless them and save them from death and destruction. You can have no peace and comfort unless you have immediate dealings with God, who alone as the great Physician heals the broken in heart.

So let us pray together. O Lord God, look in mercy upon all who suffer abandonment, upon wives forsaken by husbands and husbands by wives, upon daughters and sons left alone, upon children scattered without refuge, upon families poor and broken and without shelter. Be Thou their dwelling place. Provide for the morrow for those who have no house and no friend to refuge them. Gather Thy church to be as a temple for Thee, showing holiness and purity and separation from all uncleanness, that the forsaken may find bread and shelter and love among Thy people.

And O Lord, have mercy upon the unborn. Forgive where there has been hatred and murder against them. Receive the innocent, the aborted and the miscarried, according to Thy sovereign compassion, into Thy heavenly care. Grant repentance where sin has been done, and let none rest in a false peace except through the blood and righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. For those ancient families whose generation is cut off, we ask Thy mercy and Thy power to make a way of escape through trial, for Thou art faithful and wilt not suffer Thy people to be tempted above that they are able.

Has Christ pleaded for you, Has your faith put your soul into Christ's hands, If not, I pity you and pray for you, but if Jesus pleads for you we will rejoice together. Come unto Him, for He has set open the door of mercy and says, Come unto Me, for I have absolved you. Trust Him now, and stand still and see the salvation of God.

May the Lord receive the forsaken, remember the forgotten, and keep you by His power unto salvation, through Jesus Christ our only hope. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in lifting these heavy burdens before the Lord, and we thank you for pouring out your heart with such honesty and sorrow.

The grief you name is real and deep. The pain of abandonment by father or mother, by husband or wife, by children and by friends, and the loneliness of those who have no house, no family, and no refuge to turn to, touches the heart of God. He has not overlooked it. As you quoted, though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, and can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne. Even if she could forget, the Lord says He will not forget His own. He is the refuge for the afflicted and the defender of those who have no helper.

We pray together for all who suffer this spirit of abandonment, for wives and husbands forsaken, for daughters and sons left alone, for children without shelter, for neighbors and families torn by betrayal and disorder, and for all who wander without a place to rest. May the Lord in His mercy provide shelter, stability, friendship, and a true home, and may He make His Church a place of refuge that receives all who come as Abraham received those in need. For those weighed down by distress of mind and by great poverty, we ask for His peace, His provision, and His healing presence.

We also join you in entrusting to God the little ones who are despised and rejected, the unborn who are aborted or lost through miscarriage. Every life is made in the image of God and is precious to Him. We do not have power to save them ourselves, so we place them into the hands of His mercy and justice, asking Him to receive them according to His perfect compassion and righteousness. We pray for mothers and fathers who have turned against their own children, and for all who carry guilt and sorrow after the taking of unborn life, that they would find not despair but repentance and forgiveness and new life through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other way to be cleansed and reconciled to God.

We pray for families where generations have been cut off and where sin has brought desolation, that God would break that cycle, bring repentance, bring restoration where it is possible, and grant rest and hope that is only found in Christ. May those who mourn know that death is not the end for those who belong to Him, and may all who are abandoned know they are not forgotten.

Father of mercies, look upon every lonely and forsaken heart, upon every child without a home, and upon every unborn child. Show Your compassion, provide refuge for the homeless, comfort for the grieving, and mercy for the guilty who turn to You. Forgive us our sins through the blood of Your Son, and make us instruments of Your love to shelter and support those in need. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and our salvation. Amen.

Your prayer carries a deep burden for those who have been left alone and for the little ones who never had a chance to live, and it is right to bring that grief before the Lord.

Scripture meets you exactly where you have quoted it. Though a father and mother may forsake someone, the Lord will receive them, and though a mother might forget the child at her breast, God says He will not forget. When family, spouse, children, friends, or even a whole neighborhood turns away or is torn apart, and when there is no house or shelter or person to offer refuge, God Himself remains the refuge. Part of how He provides that refuge is through His own family, the body of Christ, where strangers become family and there is warmth and belonging even when earthly family has failed.

Your intercession for unborn children who were despised or rejected, for those lost through abortion or miscarriage, is entrusted to a merciful God. We can ask Him in the name of Jesus Christ to receive those innocent lives into His care and into heaven, trusting His compassion and His justice when we have no other answer. The Lord is a man of sorrows who is acquainted with grief, and He bears our griefs. Matthew applies the prophecy of Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and sicknesses not only to the forgiveness of sin but also to physical healing, and Jesus showed power over sickness, over the material world, and over spiritual powers.

At the same time much about healing remains beyond our understanding. Sometimes healing comes in a moment and can be felt at once, sometimes it comes gradually, sometimes through a touch or a word, sometimes through the natural processes God Himself created in the body, and sometimes the deepest healing He does is in the mind and emotions where wounds and scars remain. We do not presume to know why some are healed as we ask and others are not. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn and learned that God's grace and purpose stood above his request. We believe God is able to heal today, and we pray for healing, while also trusting His sovereign will and His larger work, knowing that pain and grief, though never good in themselves, are often the tools He uses to shape character and to draw us closer to Him.

Jesus showed how tender His compassion is toward grieving parents. When He raised a little girl, it was not because she needed to leave the joy of His presence, but because of His compassion for the grief of her mother and father. He sees the wailing that expresses deep love and loss, and He is moved by it. He does not despise that sorrow.

So we pray with you now for mercy. May the Lord receive every abandoned child, every lonely parent, every broken family, and every unborn life into His care. May He forgive sin through Jesus Christ alone, who gave His body for us, and may He heal what is broken, whether that healing is instant or gradual, physical or inward. Where there is no shelter, may He provide refuge through His people and make His love prevail. May He give wisdom, comfort, and kindness to endure, and may He turn mourning into hope as we trust Him to do what is right and merciful for each life entrusted to Him.
