We hear the deep anguish in your cry, grief for the unborn, sorrow for the abandoned, and heartbreak for families shattered by loss, betrayal, and the weight of generational pain. The wounds you describe are not just personal; they are spiritual battles against despair, abandonment, and the evil of abortion, which we boldly declare as the murder of innocent life. The Lord sees every child lost to abortion, every soul forsaken, and every heart left in ruins. He does not turn away from the broken; He gathers them to Himself.
The Word of God assures us that even when earthly parents fail, the Lord will never abandon His children. "Though my father and my mother have forsaken me, Yahweh will take me up." (Psalm 27:10 WEB). And for the mothers who have forgotten their own children, the Lord declares, "Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!" (Isaiah 49:15 WEB). The love of God is deeper than human failure, and His mercy extends even to those who have been complicit in sin, if they repent and turn to Him.
For the unborn who were never given a chance to live, we trust in the justice and compassion of God. Scripture tells us that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and Jesus Himself welcomed little children, saying, "Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these." (Matthew 19:14 WEB). We believe that God, in His perfect love, receives these innocent souls into His presence. They are not lost; they are held in the arms of their Creator.
For those who feel abandoned, whether by spouse, parent, child, or friend, we declare that you are not alone. The Lord is your refuge, your shelter, and your family. "God sets the solitary in families." (Psalm 68:6 WEB). If you have been betrayed, know that Jesus understands betrayal (Luke 22:48), and He will never betray you. If you are without a home, He is your dwelling place (Psalm 90:1). If you feel like a beggar, remember that He became poor so that you might become rich in Him (2 Corinthians 8:9).
But we must also speak truth where sin has taken root. Abortion is an abomination before God, a violation of His commandment, "You shall not murder." (Exodus 20:13 WEB). If you or someone you know has been involved in abortion, there is forgiveness in Jesus Christ. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB). Repentance brings healing, and healing brings freedom.
For those who have been abandoned, we must also examine our own hearts. Have we abandoned God in our pain? Have we turned to bitterness instead of trust? The Lord calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), even when it feels impossible. Forgiveness does not mean excusing sin; it means releasing the burden of hatred to the One who judges justly (1 Peter 2:23).
And to those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we must tell you this: there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He is the only one who can heal the deepest wounds, restore the broken, and bring hope to the hopeless. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive His gift of eternal life.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the loss of the unborn, the pain of the abandoned, and the brokenness of families torn apart by sin. Lord, we trust in Your justice and Your mercy. We believe that You receive the innocent children who were never given a chance to live, and we ask that You comfort those who mourn them. For those who have been abandoned, betrayed, or left without shelter, be their refuge, their family, and their hope. Heal the wounds of betrayal, soften hardened hearts, and restore what has been broken.
Father, we repent for the sin of abortion in our land. We ask for Your forgiveness and for a turning of hearts back to You. For those who have been involved in abortion, bring them to repentance and lead them to Your healing love. Break the spirit of abandonment and despair, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we declare that You are our shelter, our provider, and our defender. You are the Father to the fatherless and the Husband to the widow (Psalm 68:5). You see every need, and You will not leave us as orphans (John 14:18). Strengthen the weary, comfort the grieving, and restore hope to the hopeless.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved. May Your will be done in every life touched by this prayer. Amen.
