In the name of Jesus Christ mercy for it abandoned and murder unborn.

Abortive family ancients exterminate their generation.

Psalm 27:10Though my father and mother forsake (abandoned) me, the Lord/God will receive

Isaiah 49:15Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving the profound loss of life, especially the innocent unborn, whose lives have been cut short by the grave sin of abortion. The extermination of generations through this act is a tragedy that cries out to Heaven, and we stand in the gap, lifting up these precious souls to the only One who can receive them into His eternal care. The Word of God declares, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart" (Jeremiah 1:5 WEB). Every life, from conception, is known and loved by God, and we mourn the injustice done to these little ones.

We also lift up those who are suffering from abandonment, whether by parents, spouses, children, or friends. The pain of being left without refuge, without a home, or without family is deep, and we cry out to the Lord on your behalf. Psalm 27:10, which you shared, reminds us that even if earthly parents forsake us, the Lord will take us in. He is our true Father, our shelter, and our ever-present help in times of trouble. We pray that you would know His nearness, His comfort, and His provision in the midst of this loneliness.

To those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we must speak truth in love: this is not God’s design. The taking of innocent life is a violation of His commandment, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13 WEB). Yet we also know that God’s mercy is greater than our sin. If you are carrying guilt, shame, or grief over this, we urge you to turn to Jesus Christ, who alone can forgive and heal. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). There is no sin too great for His grace, only repentance and faith in Him can bring restoration.

For those who feel utterly abandoned, without a home or family, we declare that you are not alone. The Lord is your refuge, and He promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). We pray that He would provide for your physical needs, a place of shelter, food, and safety, but even more, that He would surround you with His love and the family of believers who can walk with you in this time.

We also lift up the mothers and fathers who have rejected their children, whether through abortion or abandonment. The heart of God is broken over this, for He desires that parents nurture and protect their children, as He nurtures and protects us. If you are a parent who has failed in this, know that God’s mercy extends to you as well. Repentance and turning back to Him can bring healing, for you and for those you have hurt.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with sorrow for the lives lost to abortion and the families broken by abandonment. We entrust the souls of the unborn into Your loving hands, knowing that You receive them into Your presence. For those who grieve, who feel forsaken, or who carry the weight of these sins, we ask for Your healing touch. Lord, be their refuge, their comfort, and their hope. For those who have participated in abortion, we pray for repentance and the peace that comes only through Jesus Christ. For those who have abandoned their families, we pray for conviction, restoration, and reconciliation. Provide for the physical and spiritual needs of all who are suffering, and let them know that You are near. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen.

To anyone reading this who does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. He is the only way to the Father, the only source of true forgiveness, and the only hope for eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Confess your sins, believe in Him, and receive the gift of salvation. He is waiting with open arms.

We hear the deep, tangled sorrow in your words, the sudden loss of your neighbor’s unborn child, and the way that grief has opened an ache for every abandoned, every lost little one. That kind of burden can feel crushing. When death wraps its fingers around the vulnerable, it’s natural to feel raw, even desperate. Pain this fierce often rises from a heart that loves deeply, and you are not alone in carrying it. God does not turn away from such sorrow; His own heart breaks over every life cut short, and He holds each child in a tenderness we can barely imagine.

With so much suffering named, it can feel impossible to do anything at all. But you have already done one vital thing: you have prayed, and you have asked others to stand with you. Now, what if you took one small, concrete step for your neighbor? A simple, warm meal left at their door, a short handwritten note that says “I’m so sorry, I’m here if you need to talk,” or even just sitting with them in silence. In the face of such loss, presence often ministers more than words.

When the weight of the world’s brokenness presses in, we also gently remind you that no one person can carry it all. As you pray for the countless abandoned, maybe choose one name or one face to lift before God each day, trusting Him to tend to the vastness beyond your reach. Your neighbor especially needs that steady, quiet support right now.

Lord Jesus, receive these little ones into Your everlasting arms, where no hatred or neglect can ever touch them. Wrap Your comfort around this grieving neighbor, and steady our friend’s heart as they reach out. Pour mercy on every abandoned soul, and where there has been death, sow seeds of healing and hope. In Your name, Amen.

Heaven must be in us before we can be in heaven, yet even now the Lamb who is the glory of the eternal city stoops down to gather the lambs that have been cast out before they could draw breath. The innocent ones, despised and slaughtered, are not lost to Him who said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me.” Their blood cries out, but mercy covers that cry with a sweeter note, the blood of Jesus speaks better things. Though father and mother forsake them, the Lord receives them to His own heart. He has mercy on them, an ever-flowing mercy, and they shall never hunger nor thirst, for the Lamb in the midst of the throne shall feed them and lead them to living fountains of waters. Heaven would not be complete without such as these, and the music of their redemption rings there already.

Yet the same mercy stoops lower still, to those who groan under a sense of their own lostness and abandonment. You speak of being a beggar without shelter, without family, without friend. This is just the season when mercy draws near. In the desert, by the well, when you are wandering in your own way, the angel of the covenant finds you and asks, “Where are you going?” The very desperation you feel is the preparation for His appearing. He came to seek and to save the lost. Do not think your case is too hard, or that you have sunk below His reach. He has passed through deeper depths; He knows the grief of being forsaken, for on the cross He cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” That sorrow was for you, that you might never be abandoned eternally.

If you cry for mercy, know that mercy is not a pittance doled out to the deserving, it is a flood that washes those who have nothing. God’s mercy is gratis. He asks no payment; He finds His motive in His own heart, for He delights in mercy. Only let your soul feel its need. Turn your face from all false confidences. The first thing mercy will do for you is to make you a new creation, giving you new loves, new hates, and a cry that will not let Him go. While you are yet speaking, He hears. He is slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy; He has put His hand upon the sword and sheathed it for the sake of the ransom found.

That ransom is Christ Jesus. Heaven, for the redeemed, will be all Christ, seeing His face, feasting on His love, knowing even as we are known. Yet what is that but the present possession of the believer enlarged? Even now, by the Spirit, we may taste the clusters of Eshcol. The barrier is down; the Red Sea is crossed. Let your hope in His mercy be a sound one, born of the Spirit, divorced from every confidence except in mercy itself. Then you shall prove that the God of mercy goes before you, forestalling you with goodness, and bringing you at last to where the Lamb shall wipe away all tears, and the former things shall pass away.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The anguish in your words is like a cry from the depths, yet even from such darkness, faith looks upward to the God who never forsakes. You have spoken of little ones cut off before they saw the light, and of souls abandoned and betrayed. It is right to mourn such sorrow, for the enemy of our race has sown destruction, and the world groans under the weight of sin. But do not let grief swallow hope. The very Psalm you recall declares, "Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me." If earthly parents prove cruel, the heavenly Father’s arms are everlasting. And what of those infants who never drew a breath? Are they lost? By no means. Christ Himself gathered the children to Him and blessed them. His cross has changed death into a sleep. The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world bestows a salvation so great that it dissolves even death and tramples the devil underfoot. These little ones are not forgotten; they are gathered into that kingdom where there is no more weeping.

Yet your prayer extends beyond the unborn. You feel the sting of abandonment yourself, the lack of shelter, family, and friend. Here the prophet Isaiah thunders with comfort: "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you." The cross made earth heaven, and the Church a household for the lonely. Christ is the refuge of the destitute. Turn your own soul toward that salvation, trusting not in the shadow of earthly kin but in the faith that lays hold of eternal life. Pour out your godly sorrow for the sins of the world, the murder of innocents, the hardening of hearts, but let it lead you to repentance and to the table of mercy. Look for His appearing, for He shall come again without sin unto salvation for all who wait for Him. In the meantime, entrust every aborted and miscarried child to His care, and be not like Rachel, refusing comfort, because they are not where our mortal eyes can see. They are in the presence of the One who said, "To you the kingdom is come." Let that truth be your shelter.

The cry of your heart rises from a place of deep anguish, and God is not distant from that sorrow. When you see such devastation, the loss of the unborn, the cascading abandonment of wives, husbands, sons, and daughters, it is a grief that echoes the fallenness of this world. But into that darkness, the mercy of God shines with an everlasting light.

We can cling to the truth that even when mother and father forsake, the Lord will receive. A human parent may forget the baby at her breast, yet God will never forget or abandon His own. The little ones who never drew breath on this earth are not lost to Him. They are gathered into the arms of the One who said, “Let the little children come to me.” His mercy endures forever, stretching higher than the heavens are above the earth, and His compassion is beyond anything we could measure. You long for refuge and shelter, for some place of safety for the abandoned. Jesus Christ is that living refuge. In Him, mercy and truth have met together. Justice was satisfied at the cross, so that mercy could flow freely to the guilty and the broken. We do not come to God demanding what we deserve, justice would leave us all undone. We come pleading, “God be merciful,” and He delights to show that mercy. He looked down from the height of His sanctuary and saw our lowest state, and in Christ He provided a way of redemption.

So lift up these unborn children, these shattered families, and your own wounded heart to Him. His mercy is not a theory; it is a living reality for all who call upon the name of Jesus Christ. He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and His heart is never hardened against the humble and contrite. May He give you strength to endure these sorrows, and may you know the peace that comes from trusting the One who collects every tear in His bottle. The Lord pities those who fear Him, and His mercy is from everlasting to everlasting upon you this day.
