Isaiah 49:15Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne

We join you in this deep and heavy burden for the unborn and for all who are suffering abandonment and loss, and we bring this before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

Your heart reflects God's own heart for the most vulnerable. Scripture is clear that life in the womb is precious and known by God. Psalm 139:13 says For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb. And Jeremiah 1:5 declares Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you. Every child, whether welcomed or despised by mother or father, is created in the image of God and is fully known and loved by Him. We must speak the truth in love that abortion is the taking of innocent human life and stands against God's command in Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder. It is a grave sin that exterminates a generation and brings deep wounds to mothers, fathers, families and neighborhoods, yet we also know that there is mercy and forgiveness through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, and we pray for that mercy to reach all who have participated in or been wounded by it.

We also lift up every person you mentioned who knows the pain of abandonment, the wife abandoned by her husband, the husband abandoned by his wife, the daughter, the son, the brother, the sister, the friend betrayed, the children left alone without house or family or refuge, and those who feel they have nowhere to turn but a shelter or the streets. The Lord sees this suffering and He has promised to be a refuge. You rightly quoted Psalm 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. And Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb. Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you. God does not abandon His children. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. For those who are alone and without shelter, Deuteronomy 31:6 reminds us Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid nor be scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is he who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that any of us can be saved and receive mercy. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We entrust these innocent children, both those lost to abortion and those lost to miscarriage, into the merciful care of God, trusting His perfect justice and compassion, and we pray that He would comfort those who mourn them. Jesus welcomed little children when He said in Matthew 19:14 Allow the little children to come to me, and don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.

So we pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we ask for Your mercy. Lord, receive the unborn babies who have died, who were despised or unwanted, who were aborted or miscarried, and grant them rest and peace in Your presence. Forgive our land and our families for the shedding of innocent blood and turn hearts to cherish life as You do. Comfort every mother and father who grieves, and bring repentance and healing through the blood of Jesus to those who have chosen abortion. Look upon every abandoned wife, husband, daughter, son, brother, sister and friend, upon every lonely child and every person without house or family or refuge, and be their shelter and their family. Be near to the brokenhearted, provide homes for the homeless, faithful friends for the forsaken, and restore disorder and betrayal in neighborhoods with Your peace. Help us as Your people to defend the fatherless, to support mothers, and to show Your love to the abandoned. We trust that You will not forget Your children and that You will take up those whom others have forsaken. We ask all this in the merciful and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We are grateful you shared this burden with us. Your heart for children who never had a chance to be welcomed, for parents and families left alone, for neighbors without a home or anyone to turn to, comes through so clearly. It is heavy to see so much abandonment around you and to feel there is no refuge nearby.

We hear how deeply you want God to show mercy, to receive those little ones and to comfort those who feel forsaken by mother, father, family or friends. That longing for shelter and belonging is real, and God does see those who feel forgotten.

Carrying prayers for a whole community and for generations can feel overwhelming. We encourage you not to carry it alone. If you have a trusted pastor, small group, or mature believer nearby, sharing this burden with them can help you keep praying with steadiness and hope. And if you know specific neighbors without support, gently pointing them toward a local church or community care ministry can be a simple way love takes shape alongside prayer.

Father, we bring before You every child entrusted to Your care and every person feeling abandoned and without shelter. Show Your mercy and nearness, bring comfort where there is grief, and guide each one to safe and caring support. Give our friend strength as he intercedes for others. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry concerning those who suffer abandonment and the precious unborn has been heard, and it is brought before the Lord who does not despise a broken and contrite heart.

There is a sorrow here that is very deep, the sorrow of children forsaken, of families divided, of wives and husbands and sons and daughters left alone, of little ones without shelter or refuge, of neighbors in disorder and friends betrayed, and above all of unborn life despised and destroyed. This is indeed an affliction that wounds the heart, and the Word tells us plainly that only God Himself can heal such wounds. As it has been said, we speedily seek a physician for the body, how much more should we seek the great Physician who alone healeth the broken in heart. Religious notions and empty words will not bind up such bleeding, but immediate dealings with God through Jesus Christ will.

You have well quoted the promise, Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, and again, Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne. Though man may forsake and forget, the Lord does not. He is a safe shelter, and under His wings there is not only protection from danger but a sense of home and comfort. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. For those who have no house, no family, no friend to refuge them, oh that they may find that God Himself is their habitation, their shelter in every storm of pestilence and sorrow and war.

This is also comfort in affliction, for His Word hath quickened us. When the soul is low and depressed, God does not merely speak comfort from afar, He quickens the heart by His Word and by His Spirit, and so gives life and peace. May that peculiar comfort be yours and theirs, that you may be able to say, This is my comfort in my affliction.

We join you in entrusting those innocent, aborted and miscarried children to the care of our merciful God, asking Him in His sovereign compassion to receive them. We do not ask God to bless the shedding of innocent blood, for He calls us to choose life and to honor the life He creates, but we do plead His mercy for all who have part in such sin, and His healing for all who bear its wound. There is forgiveness only through the blood of Jesus Christ, who died, the Just for the unjust, to bear our sins. Whosoever will turn from sin and rest upon His atoning sacrifice shall find pardon and a new heart. Think of Him as one who casts sins behind His back when they are confessed and brought to His cross.

We pray now for those generations that feel cut off and exterminated, for every lonely child, for every abandoned wife and husband, for every mother and father who grieves, for every neighborhood in disorder, for every brother and sister and friend who has been betrayed, and for every soul without shelter. May the Lord in His providence provide refuge and bread and a godly home where prayer is made, and far more, may He give Himself to them through Jesus Christ the Saviour. May those who mourn unborn children know that the Lord knows all things, searches the heart, and will do right, and may they find rest in His perfect justice and His tender mercy.

May the Spirit of God teach each afflicted one to commit the whole future, time and eternity, into the pierced hands of Him who says He will perfect that which concerneth us, and may you stand still and see the salvation of God, trusting not in your own watchfulness but in Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation, and in whose name we pray. Amen.
