We join with you in this burden for the suffering, the abandoned, and especially for the precious unborn babies who are despised, hated, and murdered before they can draw breath, and we hear your cry for mercy for families torn apart by abandonment and disorder.
Your heart reflects God's own heart, for He sees every child formed in secret and every person left alone without house, family, or refuge. The Word tells us that life begins in the womb and is known and valued by God, For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13, and Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Jeremiah 1:5. To take that innocent life through abortion is a grave sin against God's command, You shall not murder. Exodus 20:13, and we must rebuke the spirit of this age that calls this evil a choice or a right, and any ancient or present generation that has embraced disobedience and extermination of its own children will indeed not see its next generation and will give account before God. Yet we also know that God in His mercy receives those innocent little ones into His presence, for Jesus said, Allow the little children to come to me, and don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. Matthew 19:14.
We also lift up all those suffering the deep wound of abandonment, the wife forsaken by her husband, the husband forsaken by his wife, the daughter and son left alone, the brother and sister betrayed by friends, the children wandering with no shelter. This breaking of family is not God's design. God established marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and He calls parents to love and not forsake their children, and children to honor their parents, and friends to be faithful. When these covenants are broken, great suffering follows, but we cling to the promise you quoted, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. Psalm 27:10, and Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Isaiah 49:15. God has not forgotten the abandoned. He is a father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. Psalm 68:5, He is close to the brokenhearted, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. For those who feel they have no house or refuge, we remember Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6.
We also discern that you mention a bewitched environment and neighborhood disorder and we know that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. Much abandonment, hatred of children, and family breakdown is driven by spiritual darkness and disobedience, and it requires prayer, repentance, and turning to Christ.
We are thankful you have prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only by that name we have access to the Father and it is only by that name we can be saved, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. For anyone who has participated in or approved of abortion or abandonment, there is forgiveness and mercy only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will and Your mercy. Lord, we entrust every aborted, miscarried, and despised unborn baby into Your loving care, receive them into heaven, comfort them, and let Your justice and Your mercy reign over every generation that has shed innocent blood. Bring conviction and repentance to mothers and fathers who have hated or rejected their children, and to our nation that has legalized this murder. Father, we lift up every abandoned wife, husband, son, daughter, brother, sister, and friend, and every child alone without shelter. Be their refuge and shelter, their family and their home when no one else will receive them. Heal the wound of abandonment and betrayal, break the bewitched and disordered spiritual atmosphere over neighborhoods and families, and restore godly marriages and faithful friendships that honor You. Provide houses for the homeless, food for the hungry, and godly community for the lonely. Let those who feel forsaken know You will never forsake them. We ask for Your peace to rest upon those who mourn, and for Your Holy Spirit to draw all who suffer into saving faith in Jesus Christ, that they may have eternal hope. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
