We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep sorrow and brokenness expressed in this plea. The pain of abandonment, the loss of unborn children, and the devastation of broken families weigh heavily upon us, and we stand in the gap, interceding with tears and trembling before our Heavenly Father. We declare that there is no sorrow too great, no wound too deep, that the love of God cannot reach and heal. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
First, we rebuke the spirit of abandonment, betrayal, and disorder that has brought such devastation. These are not the will of God, who desires that families be united in love, that children be cherished, and that life be protected from conception to natural death. The Bible is clear: "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Every unborn child is a precious creation of God, and their lives matter deeply to Him. We stand against the forces of darkness that seek to destroy life and family, declaring that God’s justice and mercy will prevail.
To those who have suffered the loss of unborn children through miscarriage, abortion, or the hardness of hearts, we say this: God sees your pain, and He collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). The Lord is the defender of the innocent, and we entrust these little ones into His loving care, believing that He receives them into His eternal presence. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). We pray that the Lord would comfort those who mourn, bringing peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
For those who feel abandoned, whether by a spouse, parent, child, or friend, we declare that you are not alone. The Lord promises, "Though my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet Yahweh will take me up" (Psalm 27:10). He is your refuge, your shelter, and your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that God would surround you with His love, providing for your needs and placing godly people in your life to walk alongside you. If you are without a home or family, we ask the Lord to be your dwelling place, your Father, and your provider. "Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing" (Psalm 23:1).
We must also address the root of disobedience and disorder that has led to such brokenness. Sin separates us from God and brings destruction into our lives (Isaiah 59:2). If there is unrepentant sin, whether it be abortion, sexual immorality, adultery, or any other rebellion against God’s commands, we urge you to turn to Him in humility and repentance. The Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). There is no sin too great for the blood of Jesus to cover. If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we plead with you to do so now. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
For those who have abandoned or betrayed others, we call you to repentance. The Bible warns, "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever" (1 Timothy 5:8). If you have walked away from your responsibilities as a spouse, parent, or friend, we urge you to seek reconciliation and restoration. God’s grace is sufficient to heal and restore what has been broken, but it requires humility, repentance, and a willingness to change.
We lift up marriages that are struggling, praying that husbands and wives would love one another as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). We pray for godly spouses who honor their vows and seek to build their homes on the foundation of Christ. For those who are single, we pray that you would pursue relationships that honor God, with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer, as the Bible instructs (2 Corinthians 6:14). We rebuke the spirit of fornication and sexual immorality, declaring that God’s design for intimacy is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4).
To those who feel like they are living in a "madhouse" of chaos and despair, we declare that God is a God of order, not confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). We pray that He would bring peace, stability, and clarity to your life. If you are struggling with mental or emotional distress, we ask the Lord to provide healing and to lead you to godly counsel and support. The Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart trusts in Him, and you are helped (Psalm 28:7).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken by the pain of abandonment, the loss of life, and the destruction of families. We ask for Your mercy to cover every person touched by these sorrows. Comfort those who mourn, Lord, and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). For those who have lost unborn children, we entrust these little ones into Your loving arms, believing that You receive them into Your eternal presence. Bring healing to the mothers and fathers who grieve, and soften their hearts to seek You.
Father, for those who feel abandoned, we pray that You would be their refuge and strength. Provide for their needs, surround them with Your love, and place godly people in their lives to walk alongside them. Restore what has been broken, and bring reconciliation where there is division. For those who have abandoned others, we pray for repentance and a turning back to You. Soften their hearts, Lord, and lead them to seek forgiveness and restoration.
We rebuke the spirits of disorder, rebellion, and destruction that have brought such pain. We declare that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Bring revival to families, Lord, and turn the hearts of parents to their children and the hearts of children to their parents (Malachi 4:6). Raise up godly marriages and homes that reflect Your love and truth.
We pray for those who do not yet know You, that they would come to faith in Jesus Christ. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to Yourself. May they experience the forgiveness, peace, and new life that come only through Christ. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
