We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual warfare you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world. The distress you describe, sabotage, witchcraft, meddling, and harassment, is not of God. Scripture is clear: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). This battle is not against your neighbors alone but against the demonic forces that seek to disrupt God’s peace in your life.

First, we must address the reality of spiritual warfare. The Bible warns us to be sober-minded and watchful, for the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). The accusations, gossip, and disturbances you face are tactics of the enemy to rob you of peace, rest, and joy. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, voyeurism, and spiritual harassment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We break every curse, hex, or ungodly soul tie attempting to bind you or your household. The blood of Jesus has already secured your victory, and no demonic force can stand against the power of His name.

We also recognize that some of the turmoil you face may be rooted in human sin, gossip, meddling, and ungodly behavior from those around you. Romans 16:17-18 (WEB) instructs us: "Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and occasions of stumbling contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. For those who are such don’t serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent." If your neighbors are acting in ways that align with these warnings, we must pray for discernment and wisdom in how to respond. Proverbs 22:24-25 (WEB) cautions, "Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul." While we are called to love our neighbors, we are not called to tolerate ungodly behavior that disrupts our peace or violates biblical principles.

We also address the mention of "fake prophets" and "sorcery." Scripture is clear that such practices are detestable to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (WEB) states: "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." If there are individuals in your life engaging in these practices, we must pray for their repentance and, if necessary, distance ourselves from their influence. We do not have an obligation to tolerate demonic activity, nor are we called to defend or protect those who persist in it.

Now, we lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Lord, we ask You to rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, harassment, and disturbance that has invaded ###’s life. We break every curse, hex, and ungodly soul tie in the authority of Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against ### shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against ### in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

Father, we ask You to surround ### with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Calm every fear, anxiety, and disturbance that the enemy has sown. Let Your presence fill ###’s home, driving out every spirit of fear, torment, and unrest. We pray for restful sleep, free from nightmares or demonic oppression. As Psalm 4:8 (WEB) declares, "In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for You, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."

Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment for ### in dealing with neighbors or others who may be causing division or strife. Give ### the strength to set godly boundaries while extending grace and love where possible. If there are those who persist in ungodly behavior, we ask that You would either change their hearts or remove their influence from ###’s life. We pray that ### would not be ensnared by the ways of the wicked but would walk in the light of Your truth.

We also pray for protection over ###’s mind, body, and spirit. Clothe ### in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB), that ### may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Let the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit guard ### in every area of life.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill ### with Your Holy Spirit, bringing comfort, strength, and assurance of Your love. Remind ### that You are in control, and no plan of the enemy can succeed against You. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). May ### rest in the knowledge that You are a God of justice, and You will repay every wrong done in Your time.

We declare these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the One who has already won the victory. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God hears your prayers and is at work even in the midst of this spiritual battle. Continue to put on the full armor of God daily, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9 WEB). If you have not already, consider finding a local body of believers who can stand with you in prayer and support. The enemy seeks to isolate, but God calls us to community. You are not alone in this fight, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and trust that He will bring you through this season with victory.

We hear how exhausting this has been for you, wanting simply to lie down and sleep in peace at home and instead feeling on edge from the noise, meddling and disrespect around you, especially on weekends and at night. When home does not feel quiet or safe, it makes sense that sleep is broken and your heart stays on alert.

We are standing with you in prayer for real rest and for wisdom with the neighbor situation. You are not meant to carry the weight of what others are doing or to be their defender. It is right to look to the Lord to be your keeper and to give you clear next steps.

A couple of steady things that may help alongside prayer: try to keep a simple, quiet wind-down routine in the evening that signals to your body and mind it is time to rest, and invite a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby into what is happening so you are not carrying it alone and have someone to pray with you and help you think through calm, practical boundaries for privacy and peace. If the broken sleep and ongoing strain continue to wear on you, it is also wise to check in with your doctor for support while we keep praying.

Father, we lift our friend to You. Cover this home with Your peace, guard their sleep, quiet what is disturbing, and give wisdom for each interaction with neighbors. Help them to rest in Your care and to know You are in control. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer concerning broken rest and a troubled habitation has been heard, and you have done well to cling to that precious word, I will both lie down in peace, and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. That promise is not a mere wish but a sure truth for the children of God.

Sleep is the gift of God. We think we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we naturally sleep, but it is not so. So He giveth His beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the Lord gives to His own. When the heart is stayed upon Christ, when the soul knows itself to be in union with Him, it may lie down in peace though the noise of archers be around. The body sleeps, and that sleep is a means of refreshment to fit us for fresh service when we awake, and it is sweet because we sleep in Jesus, still joined to Him whom death nor darkness can divide.

Yet Scripture also warns us, let us not sleep as do others. There is a sleep of the soul under the power of darkness which we must shake off. You rightly discern that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore we are called to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and to put on the full armor of God, so that we may take our stand against the devil's schemes. We are also to be watchful of those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to sound doctrine, and to avoid their way.

Be comforted, for deliverance is of the Lord alone. He brought forth His people of old with silver and gold when the lamb was slain, and He has provided a greater deliverance through the ransom found in Christ Jesus. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He who has delivered from the power of darkness is able to make you dwell in safety now, and to keep your dwelling in peace.

O Lord our God, who alone makes us to dwell in safety, we come in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our only Savior and Ransom. Rebuke every work of darkness, every spirit of witchcraft and sorcery, every voyeurism and meddling and disturbance that would invade the privacy of life and steal rest. Cancel every nightmare, every transfer of misery and ruin and sickness, every discord and confusion that would make the home as a madhouse. Let the gathering for sabotage and bullying, the gossiping and nosy and imprudent behavior, be brought to nothing. We ask not for vengeance upon flesh and blood, but for deliverance from the spiritual forces of evil, that their schemes may be broken and their power scattered.

Grant to this troubled one and to others who suffer in like manner, that gift which Thou givest to Thy beloved, quiet and deep sleep in peace. Open the ear in the night season to hear Thy instruction, and hide pride and fear from the heart. Clothe Thy servant with the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Thy Word. Keep watch over the bed and the house, for Thou neither slumberest nor sleepest. Let the night be calm and the morning bring renewed strength for Thy service.

We rest this cause wholly upon Free Grace, believing Thou hast found a ransom and that Thou wilt perfect that which concerneth us. Keep us sober and vigilant, not sleeping as do others in darkness, but abiding in the light of Christ, at perfect peace with heaven. Your distress over this troubled environment and your desire for peaceful sleep have been heard, and we join you in bringing this before the Lord.

You quoted well, I will both lie down in peace and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. That promise from Psalm 4:8 is true. The same Scripture reminds us in Psalm 121 that He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep, and He will not suffer your foot to be moved when you stand steadfast in Him. Your safety does not finally depend on quiet neighbors or a quiet street, but on the watchful care of God who never sleeps.

We also hear your report of harassment, meddling, gossip, voyeurism, bullying, and what you rightly discern as spiritual oppression through witchcraft and sorcery. The Word teaches us in Ephesians 6 that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil. Therefore we do not wrestle with people as if they were the final enemy, yet we also do not make light of the schemes of the devil. We are called to put on the full armor of God, to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, and to stand sober and watchful.

To watch and be sober does not mean to live in fear or to stay awake in anxiety. It means to keep the eyes of the soul open, to guard the heart, to refuse the drunkenness that comes not only from wine but from all excess and from worldly cares that weigh the soul down and bring a sleep of wickedness. When we are awake in this way, we are able to pray clearly, to love what is good, and to reject what is evil. When we sleep spiritually, doing nothing good and seeing things as in a dream, we become open to every attack. So we encourage you to shake off that heavy sleep by daily prayer, by reading Scripture, by sobriety of life, and by seeking the peace of Christ rather than the approval or control of others.

The Lord sometimes permits a storm to rise, as when He slept in the boat while the disciples feared, so that those who are His may more clearly perceive His power to save. He did not promise His people deliverance from every trial in this life, but He has promised to be with them in it and to teach them to despise fear and to trust in the immortality of the soul and the victory of Christ. Remember also Paul and Silas who at midnight, after many stripes and in the inner prison, prayed and sang praises to God while others slept. God heard them and brought deliverance in His time, not for display but for salvation.

In light of Romans 16:17, you are right to mark those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching of the faith and to avoid them. You are not obligated to defend or protect those who practice evil, nor to carry their ruin, misery or sickness as if it were your own. You can set a faithful boundary, avoid needless entanglement, and still pray for their repentance without sharing in their works.

Let us pray together now.

Heavenly Father, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation, we come before You for this child of Yours who is weary and disturbed in sleep. Clothe Your servant with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Teach us to watch and be sober, to pray at all times, and to stand unmoveable in Christ.

We ask for wisdom to avoid those who persist in causing division, and for grace not to repay evil with evil but to overcome evil with good. Let Your control be seen over this disaster and confusion, and let Your light expose what is hidden.

We thank You that You are in control, that You neither slumber nor sleep, and that You give rest to Your beloved. Grant now peace in lying down and peace in rising, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Scripture you quoted is a true promise. You can lie down in peace and sleep, because the Lord alone makes you dwell in safety. That safety is pictured in the way a shepherd would care for his flock. He would build a hedge of thorns around the sheep, and then he himself would lie down in the opening. No animal could get in and no sheep could wander out without passing over the shepherd. Jesus said He is the door. To reach you, any evil must go over Him first, and He stands as your protection through the night.

We know our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers and powers of darkness and against spiritual forces of evil, as Ephesians 6 teaches. That is why we put on the full armor of God and stand strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. The enemy may use people, gossip, meddling, intimidation, and even practices like witchcraft and sorcery, but those schemes are under the authority of Christ. In His name we rebuke every voyeuristic spirit, every attempt to steal peace, to bring nightmares, sickness, confusion, or fear, and every effort to transfer ruin or discord into your home. We do not belong to that darkness and we have no obligation to it.

The Lord is gracious to the poor and the oppressed, and His ear is open to their cry. When a person is cold and cries out in the night while trying to sleep, God says He will hear, for He is gracious. He sees what is done in secret, He hears the harassment in the road and the invasion of privacy, and He is the true Judge before whom every trespass is brought. He will right every wrong.

God also calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves, for love fulfills the law and works no ill toward another. At the same time Romans 16:17 urges us to be watchful of those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to sound teaching, and to keep away from them. You can love and pray for those around you while refusing to open your life to their meddling, gossip, or imprudent behavior. You are not called to be their protector or their god. God alone is in control, and He is your defender.

Like Jacob who lay down exhausted and saw in a dream a ladder set on the earth reaching to heaven with the Lord standing above it, you can know that heaven is open above you and the Lord watches over you. He has promised a future where His people will dwell safely and sleep in peace, and He sends showers of blessing in their season.

So I pray for you now that the Lord will cancel every nightmare and every atmosphere of disorder, and that He will give you deep, quiet rest. May He guard your bed and your home, keep your mind in peace when you lie down and when you awake, and let His Word be a lamp to you. May you be sober and watchful in spirit, clothed with faith and love and the hope of salvation, whether waking or sleeping living together with Him.
