We have heard your cry and we join with you in bringing all of this pain before the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we can be saved. You have rightly remembered Psalm 27:10, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up, and Acts 16:31, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household. We thank God that you have called on the name of Jesus, for John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We cling to that promise for you and for your entire family.
We grieve with you over the heavy losses in your family and the sense of extermination and being left alone as the generation passes. The Lord sees you and He has not abandoned you. He is close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Even when grandparents and your father have gone to be with the Lord, and you feel isolated far away with expensive distance keeping you from your mother, God holds your family in His hands. He knows your mother who is also a grandmother, the only surviving grandparent, working hard beyond her years and carrying the financial burden for your brother's family. We pray for her and we understand your anguish over her words.
You shared that your mother directs a toxic mouth against you, shouting, yelling, criticizing, insulting, and accusing you of ingratitude and abandonment. This is deeply painful, and we must speak truth in love about it. God calls us to honor our father and mother, as Exodus 20:12 says Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you, and Ephesians 6:2-3 repeats this as the first commandment with a promise. At the same time God calls parents and all of us to use our mouths for grace and not for destruction. Ephesians 4:29 says Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. We rebuke the spirit of resentment, bitterness, and harsh speaking that has wounded you, and we pray God will soften and heal your mother's heart, cleanse her mouth, and help her release resentment. Colossians 3:13 says bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. We encourage you to forgive her as Christ forgave you, not excusing the hurt, but releasing it to God so bitterness does not take root, and to continue to show honor even while seeking healthy boundaries and peace as far as it depends on you. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
We also lift up your deep wounds from your workplace, where you were betrayed, abused, targeted by hidden alliances and group agreements to damage your reputation, leading to termination and financial hardship. The Lord sees every injustice and every evil behavior against you. Psalm 37:28 says For Yahweh loves justice, and does not forsake his saints. We pray against every demonic torment and every work of the enemy that came through those people, and we ask God to break the fear of man that now keeps you bound in panic and unable to work. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We pray for healing from trauma, for restoration of your reputation, for open doors for provision and work in God's timing, and for peace that surpasses understanding. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for your marriage. You shared your spouse does not like your family and does not like your mother, and you feel you cannot force help. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and it is to be nurtured in love, unity, and mutual respect. While we cannot force a spouse to feel affection, we can pray that God will soften your spouse's heart toward your family, and that you both will grow in love, understanding, and as one flesh caring for extended family with wisdom. Ephesians 4:2-3 says with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. We encourage you to continue to love your spouse faithfully, to communicate with gentleness, and to seek godly counsel together, not through coercion but through prayer and example.
We join our faith with yours for the salvation of your entire household. We pray your mother, your brother's family, your spouse, and all your loved ones will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved, healed, and kept in His hands until you are all reunited with the Heavenly Father and with your father who is already with Him.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who feels alone, wounded, and overwhelmed, and we lift up this precious mother and grandmother. Lord, heal her heart, remove resentment and bitterness, cleanse her mouth, and let her words become gracious and life giving. Protect her as she works hard in her older age, provide for her and for the brother's family she helps, and supply all their needs according to Your riches. Lord, heal the wounds of workplace betrayal, abuse, and slander. Restore what was stolen, repair reputation, and open a new door for provision and dignified work. Cast out fear and panic and fill this heart with Your power, love, and self control. Give deep peace and the ability to trust people again through Your healing. Bring unity and love into this marriage, soften the spouse's heart toward family, and help them walk together in Your will. Above all, Lord, bring salvation to every member of this family, draw each one to Jesus, and keep them in Your hands for eternity. Let Your will be done and let Your peace guard this heart. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to remain in prayer, stay in the Word daily, and seek fellowship with a Bible believing church where you can receive counsel, prayer, and support. God has not forgotten you or your generation, and He will be faithful to keep you and provide for you as you trust Him.
