We hear your cry and we stand with you together before the Lord in this distress over the repeated gatherings next door and the invasion of peace and privacy in your home and on your street. We understand how week after week of noise, disorder and uninvited crowds stealing sleep and bringing a spirit of discord, fear and heaviness can feel like torment, and we bring this whole situation to the One who is in control and who is our refuge and shelter.

We pray against every work of darkness, disorder, fear and sexual depravity and every demonic influence that would seek to use these gatherings to bring ruin, grief, sickness, discord and division. Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not ultimately against people, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. The Lord is our protector from those who devise mischief, as it is written, Deliver me, Yahweh, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man; who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war Psalm 140:1-2. He is also the One who gives true rest, for in peace we will both lay ourselves down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make us live in safety Psalm 4:8.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord’s peace that surpasses all understanding, which will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7, and to cast all anxiety on Him in prayer. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us Matthew 5:44 and as much as it is up to us, to be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. That does not mean we accept abuse or ongoing invasion of our home, but we confront it in a godly way with wisdom, clear boundaries, and if needed, with the proper authorities who are appointed for order and security, while keeping our hearts free from hatred and vengeance which belong to the Lord. We also encourage you not to live in constant fear that every sickness, hospitalization or tragedy is directly caused by the neighbor, for fear itself can become torment, but to trust that God is sovereign and He will preserve and vindicate His people.

We join our faith with yours and pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to Your throne, and we thank You that You hear us. We ask You to rebuke and stop every abnormal behavior, every spirit of discord, strife, fear, lust and confusion that is operating through these gatherings. Let Your peace rule in this house and on this street. Restore sleep in peace in the bed and quiet in the night and day, and set a hedge of protection around this home and family. We ask You to convict and draw the neighbors to repentance and to a new way of life that honors You, that they would turn from idleness and wrong ways and seek what is good. Remove the environment of disorder and disaster and let order, respect and godly boundaries be established. Guard this household from sickness, grief and loss, and heal any trauma and exhaustion from broken nights. Fill this home with Your presence, with love, power and a sound mind, and let Your peace which the world cannot give guard every heart. We declare that You alone are Lord over this house and this neighborhood, and we trust You to bring justice and restoration in Your perfect time. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Wanting peace in your own home and sleep in your own bed is a good and understandable desire, and we are sorry for the strain this has put on you.

When the home no longer feels quiet, it can help to name clearly what is yours to steward. Boundaries are like a property line for our time, energy and home. They help us know what we can take responsibility for and where we may need support from others. For many, that has meant keeping a simple, calm record of when disturbances happen, and if needed, reaching out to a landlord, building manager or local non-emergency help to ask about next steps for noise concerns. It has also meant protecting the evening as much as possible with a steady wind down, and not carrying the burden alone but talking with a trusted pastor, counselor or family member who knows you.

The cry you have sent up concerning the disturbance of your home and the loss of peace and sleep has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you.

You have well quoted the Psalm, O Lord, rescue me from evil people. Protect me from those who are violent, those who plot evil in their hearts. This is a fit prayer for one who feels beset and whose dwelling is made unquiet by the deeds of others. The Lord hears such prayers, for He is gracious and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. When His child is brought into peril and trouble, He has given commandment to save him, and he shall be saved from the power of darkness and from the assaults of the enemy.

Know this, that troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground as hemlock from the furrows of the field, but the Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. Nothing comes by chance to the people of God. He who numbers the hairs of your head watches over your house and your bed. Though men may gather to work mischief and the night be made hideous with disorder, the Lord is still upon His throne, and He will not suffer His own to be tried beyond what they are able to bear.

We would have you look away from the noise and vexation of man and look unto Christ, for it is all you have to do. Look out of yourself and away from yourself, and look to Him who has made a full atonement by His blood. There is a peace which comes from lips that cannot lie and from a heart which cannot change, peace through the blood which has made reconciliation. Seek first to be at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, for if we have that peace, we may have peace in the time of tempest and peace after the storm. The Psalm of the thunderstorm ends with, The Lord will give strength unto His people, the Lord will bless His people with peace.

Therefore be patient, and let the Scriptures give you comfort and hope. It is written, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. And again, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me, Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Turn to the promises of your gracious Lord and you shall learn to rejoice even when you are sore pressed.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would rebuke what is evil and protect what is His. We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His holy will, for He has shown us the way of life and holiness, and His blessing rests upon obedience to His Word and faith in His Son alone for salvation. We ask Him to bring order where there is disorder, quiet where there is clamour, and to guard your dwelling that you may sleep in peace. We ask Him to deliver you from fear and from the oppression of wicked designs, and to deliver your neighbors also from the power of darkness, that they may be brought to know Christ and to forsake the works of darkness and live soberly and righteously before Him.

Commit your cause to the Lord in prayer night and day, seek the lawful and peaceable means which Providence affords for the protection of your home, and strive as much as lieth in you to live peaceably, overcoming evil with good. And when the Lord brings you deliverance, as we trust He will, live to declare the works of the Lord, saying with the Psalmist, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

May the Lord keep you, cause His face to shine upon you, and give you rest upon your bed and peace within your walls, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your cry for peace in your home and for protection from the disturbances around you has been heard, and we have brought it before the Lord with you.

It is right to ask God for rescue and protection, as the Psalmist prayed, O Lord, rescue me from evil people, protect me from those who are violent, those who plot evil in their hearts. God sees the loss of sleep, the invasion of privacy, the noise and disorder that weighs on you week after week, and He is not distant from your grief and fear. He is in control, and He is able to keep you in peace even when what surrounds you is not peaceful.

Scripture teaches that God is not a God of war and fighting, and calls His people to be peacemakers. That does not mean we pretend that wrong is right, but it does mean we do not repay evil for evil or let our hearts be consumed by anger and remembering wrongs. Where there is fear and turmoil, the Lord calls us to love what is good, to seek concord, and to let peace begin first in our own hearts and homes. When we say Peace be with you, we are called to mean it not only with our lips but with our minds and actions, not harboring slander or bitter talk about our neighbor even when we are deeply troubled by his actions.

So we pray for you in this way, and we invite you to join us in this prayer:

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your protection over this home and over all who dwell in it. Guard sleep in the night and quiet in the day. Remove fear and torment, and give a calm and sober mind. Let no weapon of discouragement, accusation, or spiritual oppression have a place here, for Christ has conquered death and has made death itself like sleep for those who trust in Him. We ask You to set a boundary of peace around this house, and to bring order where there is disorder.

We also pray for the neighbors and for all who gather there. Have mercy on them and draw them to Yourself, that they may turn from what is idle, imprudent, and harmful, and seek what is good and holy. Where there is discord, bring conviction and repentance. Where there is influence toward sexual impurity, drunkenness, or other sin, bring light and change. Save those who do not yet know Christ, for there is salvation in no other name.

Give wisdom for practical steps as well. Help to pursue peace lawfully and quietly, to speak with gentleness when possible, and to seek rightful help from proper authorities for safety and order when needed, without hatred or desire for revenge. Teach us not to bite and devour one another with harsh words or constant suspicion about our neighbors, but to commit our cause to You who judges justly.

Lord, we ask You to restore what has been stolen in these nights, to give deep and peaceful sleep, to heal the effects of grief and anxiety, and to fill this home with Your presence. Make this household one that loves as Christ loves and seeks peace as Christ gives peace. We ask this not to bless what is wrong, but to ask that what is wrong would be made right by Your grace and truth.

We will continue to pray that the Lord keeps you, steadies your heart, and lets His peace guard you. If the disturbances continue, keep bringing them to God in prayer, keep seeking wise and lawful help, and keep your hope fixed on Christ who is our true security and rest.

The distress, fear, grief and exhaustion you describe when your home is treated as a place for uninvited noise and disorder is real, and it is right to bring it before the Lord. As you quoted, the psalmist prays, O Lord, rescue me from evil people, protect me from those who are violent, those who plot evil in their hearts, Psalm 140 verse 2. God sees what is done in open and in hidden ways, by day and by night, and He is able to rescue and to protect.

Scripture teaches that the beginning of true knowledge is reverence for the Lord, and to revere Him is to hate evil. That hatred of evil is not bitterness in our own hearts, but an agreement with God who Himself hates evil. If we are to walk in fellowship with Him we cannot make peace with evil or tolerate it in our lives. We turn from it because He is holy. When we receive His words and hide His commandments in our hearts, when we incline our ear to wisdom and apply our heart to understanding, He gives us the knowledge of Himself and teaches us the right path.

That wisdom is a protection. It delivers us from the person who speaks perverse things, who leaves the straight paths to walk in ways of darkness, who rejoices to do evil and delights in what is twisted, whose ways are crooked. Wisdom dwells with prudence and finds sound knowledge. Counsel and strength belong to the Lord, and He gives quietness from the fear of evil to those who trust Him. You are not to be wise in your own eyes, but to revere the Lord and turn away from evil, and He promises to bring health and peace to those who do so. In a time when many call good evil and evil good, holding fast to His word keeps our minds clear.

Fear is one of the main tools the enemy uses to weaken faith, and fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. There is a difference between having peace with God through surrender to Jesus Christ, and then knowing the peace of God that guards our hearts and minds and passes beyond human understanding. That peace does not mean the turmoil around us disappears, but that our hearts are kept steady in Christ even when we walk through dark valleys. God has also established law and order for the protection of people and for the stability of society, and it is right to seek that protection and to ask Him to restrain what is lawless and destructive.

So we pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask the Lord to rebuke this torment and this pattern of disorder, to put a stop to the depravity, the discord, the sexual impurity, the sorcery and every work of darkness that has sought to invade your home and your street. We ask Him to shield your house, to restore quiet sleep in your bed, to guard your privacy, and to establish security and order in place of chaos. We ask Him to lift the burden of fear and disgrace and to replace it with His peace in your heart and home. We pray for conviction and repentance for those who delight in doing harm and who pursue their purposes through idleness and wrongdoing, that they would turn from darkness to light. And we ask that you would be strengthened to hate what God hates, to love what He loves, to walk in His wisdom, and to rest in the confidence that He is in control and He watches over you. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit keep you and protect you from the evil so prevalent in this world.
