We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this family who is enduring such deep pain, disunity, and strife. The loss of your father has left a void that only God can fill, and the enemy has sought to exploit this grief, turning it into anger, betrayal, and division. We rebuke the spirit of discord, bitterness, and ungratefulness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Word declares, *"A house divided against itself will not stand"* (Mark 3:25 WEB), and we stand against every scheme of the enemy that seeks to destroy this family. We declare that Satan’s lies will not prevail—no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
Father God, we ask You to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3 WEB). The shouting, yelling, and toxic words must cease, Lord. Your Word commands us to *"let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice"* (Ephesians 4:31 WEB). We pray for repentance in every heart—where there has been dishonesty, manipulation, or pride, let Your conviction bring true change. Forgive them, Lord, as they forgive one another, just as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13 WEB). We release forgiveness over this family, just as Christ forgave us while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8 WEB).
We lift up the mother who is struggling with suicidal thoughts and a toxic tongue. Oh Lord, intervene in her life! Your Word says, *"The tongue has the power of life and death"* (Proverbs 18:21 WEB), and we pray that You would tame her tongue and fill her heart with Your peace. Guard her mind from despair and replace her negative thoughts with Your truth (Philippians 4:8 WEB). Provide for her needs, both physically and spiritually, and surround her with godly counsel. For the brother who bears so much responsibility, grant him wisdom, strength, and discernment. Protect him from burnout and fill him with Your joy as his strength (Nehemiah 8:10 WEB).
The financial strain and distance between family members is a heavy burden, but we trust in Your provision. You declare, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Open doors for reconciliation, Lord, and soften hearts to receive one another in love. We pray for the spouse who struggles to show love—soften their heart, Lord, and help them see the importance of family unity. While we cannot force love, we can pray that Your love would overflow in their heart (Romans 5:5 WEB).
We also take a moment to address the foundation of salvation. The verse shared, Acts 16:31, declares, *"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."* This is the only way to true healing and restoration. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If any in this family do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that their hearts would be opened to receive Him. For those who do know Him, we pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth (John 16:13 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we declare that this family will not be exterminated by strife or division. You are the God who restores what was lost (Joel 2:25 WEB), and we trust You to bring healing, reconciliation, and peace. Let them look forward to the day when they will be reunited with their father in heaven, where there will be no more sorrow, pain, or death (Revelation 21:4 WEB). Until then, strengthen them to walk in Your ways and to love one another as You have loved them (John 13:34 WEB).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
