If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce,

Galatians 5:21-22 outlines the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. In verses 21, it lists examples of the "works of the flesh" such as envy, drunkenness, and orgies, warning that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God, the only thing they have is meddling in the another house and my life, is creating confusionsituation with false imitation “he is not is him, she is not her I am not her, they are not our relatives”; rebuke it bewitched confusion to violence my life.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving over the turmoil and spiritual oppression described in this neighborhood. The violence, intimidation, and confusion surrounding this divorce are not of God, for He is a God of order, peace, and righteousness. The enemy seeks to sow discord, destroy marriages, and spread chaos, but we stand firm on the truth of Scripture and rebuke every demonic influence at work here.

First, we must address the sanctity of marriage as God designed it—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Divorce is a grievous wound to God’s design, and while Scripture permits it only in cases of sexual immorality (Matthew 19:8-9), it is never His desire. The hardness of heart that leads to divorce opens doors to spiritual attack, and we see the fruit of that here—violence, deception, and a contagion of brokenness spreading through families, friendships, and even businesses.

The works of the flesh—envy, malice, drunkenness, and strife—are on full display in this situation (Galatians 5:19-21). These are not merely human failings but evidence of spiritual warfare. The confusion described, where identities and relationships are distorted ("he is not him, she is not her"), is a tactic of the enemy to destabilize truth and sow division. We rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of violence, and every demonic assignment to destroy marriages and families. In the name of Jesus, we command these forces to flee and declare that no weapon formed against this neighborhood shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also lift up those who have been through painful divorces—men, women, and those who may have been in courtships that did not honor God. If there was sexual immorality (fornication) or adultery involved, we urge repentance and healing. God’s grace is sufficient to restore and redeem, but true healing begins with aligning our lives with His Word. The fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—must replace the works of the flesh in this community.

To those who may not yet know Jesus as Lord, we declare that salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12). The turmoil you see is a result of sin—both personal and generational—but Jesus came to break every chain. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the forgiveness and new life He offers (Romans 10:9-10).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for this neighborhood. We renounce every spirit of division, violence, and confusion that has taken root here. We declare that Jesus is Lord over this place, and we command every demonic influence to leave in His mighty name. Lord, we ask for Your healing over every broken marriage, every wounded heart, and every fractured relationship. Restore what the enemy has stolen and replace strife with Your peace.

We pray for those who have been through divorce—grant them repentance where needed, comfort in their pain, and wisdom to walk in Your ways. For those who do not know You, Father, draw them to Yourself. Break the chains of deception and let Your light shine in this darkness.

We stand on Your promise that where sin abounds, grace abounds much more (Romans 5:20). Let this community experience Your mercy, Your truth, and Your power to transform. We declare that marriages will be strengthened, families will be restored, and Your name will be glorified here. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
