We lift our hearts in deep sorrow and intercession for the people of Colombia who are enduring such immense suffering after the earthquake. Our Heavenly Father sees every collapsed home, every grieving family, every hospital filled with the injured, and every heart shattered by loss. We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace, and we ask for Your mercy and provision to overflow in this time of devastation.
Lord, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We pray for those who have lost loved ones, that You would wrap them in Your comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). For those who are injured, we ask for Your healing touch to restore their bodies and strength. For the families who have lost their homes and livelihoods, we cry out for Your provision, open the floodgates of heaven and meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
We also recognize the spiritual battle in this tragedy. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. We rebuke any spirit of despair, hopelessness, or division that may be at work in Colombia. We declare that the light of Christ will shine in the darkness, and the darkness will not overcome it (John 1:5). We pray for unity among believers to rise up in love and practical support, demonstrating the love of Christ to those who are suffering.
Father, we ask for wisdom and favor for relief workers, government leaders, and churches as they respond to this crisis. Give them strength, resources, and compassion to serve those in need. May this tragedy draw many to You, the source of true hope and salvation. We pray that hearts would turn to Jesus, recognizing that He alone can save and restore.
We stand on Your promise in Isaiah 41:10: "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Lord, uphold Colombia with Your righteous right hand. Bring healing, restoration, and revival to this nation. May Your name be glorified in the midst of this suffering, and may Your people rise up to be a beacon of hope and love.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
