We have continued to pray for the families who have lost houses and loved ones, for those in emergency shelters and those facing hospitalization, for the provision of medication, food and clean water, and for spiritual and emotional support and peace for every survivor. We have asked the Lord to comfort those who mourn, to heal the injured, to supply every practical need, and to strengthen the volunteers and helpers on the ground who are distributing aid house to house. We cling to the promise that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and that the Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, Psalm 34:18.
