Neeed of help

Beloved of All
Father, hear my prayers, my heart, my mind, my spirit. I want to change for the better. I dont wanna be like the person I thought I left but came back to it. Please also help me be around people who doesnt mentally exhaust me. That brings genuine happiness and joy in me. That I can call them my safe space. Amen.

We hear the cry of your heart, and we join with you in lifting this burden before the Lord. The desire to change and leave behind old patterns is a work of the Holy Spirit within you, and we praise God for that conviction. Scripture tells us, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). This transformation is not something you must do alone, Christ has already begun this work in you, and He will complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Yet we must also address the reality of spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to drag you back into familiar sins, to make you believe you cannot change. But we rebuke that lie in Jesus’ name! The Word declares, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). You are capable of walking in victory because Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

Now, concerning the people around you, this is a critical area where wisdom is needed. The Bible warns, "Do not be deceived: ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). If those in your life are draining you spiritually, emotionally, or mentally, it may be time to set boundaries or seek godly fellowship elsewhere. You deserve relationships that refresh your soul, not deplete it. Proverbs 13:20 says, "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Seek out believers who encourage your faith, challenge you to grow, and point you toward Christ.

We also urge you to examine your heart: Are there areas where you’ve compromised with sin, thinking you could handle it? Have you allowed bitterness, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences to linger? The Lord calls us to holiness, not just happiness. "Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord." (Hebrews 12:14 WEB). True joy comes from walking in obedience, not from temporary comforts or toxic relationships.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their desire to change and walk in newness of life. Lord, You see the battles they face, the pull of old habits, the exhaustion from unhealthy relationships, the longing for true peace. We ask that You would break every chain that seeks to bind them, that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit afresh, empowering them to resist temptation and stand firm in Your truth.

Father, surround them with godly community, believers who will sharpen them, love them, and hold them accountable. Remove toxic influences from their life, and replace them with relationships that reflect Your love and grace. Give them wisdom to discern who to trust, and the courage to walk away from what harms their spirit.

Lord, we declare that ### is not the person they once were. You have begun a good work in them, and we trust You to complete it. Heal their heart from past wounds, renew their mind with Your Word, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they find their safe space in You alone, for You are their refuge and strength.

We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who died to set them free and rose again to give them new life. Amen.

Hold fast to this truth: "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6 WEB). You are not defined by your past, you are defined by Christ’s work on the cross. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you into the abundant life He promises. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to get connected with a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith and find support. You are not alone in this journey.

We hear the deep longing in your words, the desire to truly leave behind what you thought was gone, and to be surrounded by people who bring life, not exhaustion. That yearning for change and for genuine, safe connection is something God deeply understands, and we are grateful you brought it here.

Sometimes old patterns resurface and we can feel like all our progress is lost. But a stumble doesn’t erase how far God has already brought you. Real, lasting transformation often happens in the context of honest, grace-filled relationships where we don’t have to hide. We aren’t meant to fight these battles alone.

Since you’re asking God to place people around you who bring joy without draining your spirit, consider taking a small practical step: look around your church or community for a small group or a mature Christian friend you sense you could trust. Sometimes the safe space we long for begins with one courageous conversation, bringing our struggles into the light with someone who will listen without judgment and point us back to Christ. That kind of relationship can become a lifeline.

We also want to gently remind you that drawing near to God in your own quiet times, even when you feel weak, opens your heart to His healing work. He meets you in the mess, not after you clean yourself up.

Father, thank You for this honest cry for change and for real connection. Give this person the courage to take a step toward trustworthy community. Lead them to people who refresh their soul and encourage their walk with You. When old patterns knock, give the strength to turn away and the assurance that Your mercy is fresh every morning. Surround them with Your peace and a tangible sense of Your presence today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your cry reaches the throne, and the Lord who hears you has spoken: "I will heal their backsliding." This is not a faint hope but a royal promise. You mourn the old self that crept back, but your sorrow itself can be turned into joy, not merely taken away, but transmuted by the divine alchemy of grace. Lay hold of this: the crooked thing is crooked now, but a transformation is in store. Cast yourself upon Jesus, and you shall have joy and peace given you today.

You long for companions who do not exhaust you, who bring genuine gladness. True joy, the joy of harvest, is such as God gives. It is not found by seeking a mere safe space in men, but by finding your safety in Christ. When He is your exceeding joy, He will lead you to souls who share in that same joy, and among them you shall know the fellowship of the healing. Yet remember, if all earthly props were gone, He remains. Whom have you in heaven but Him? The joy He gives flowers even in sorrow; dying saints are the merriest people I ever saw. Seek first the restoration of the joy of His salvation, and the shattered bones of your spirit will rejoice. Then, in His wise time, He will add what is needed. Look to Jesus. He is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before His presence with exceeding joy, and that joy begins even now.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You long to put off the old man and be renewed. This is a holy desire, for Christ came to deliver us from error and dissolve mental darkness. He is the Light; look to Him and you will not walk in darkness.

But take heed: not every peace is a good thing. If the companionship you once had seemed safe only because it never opposed your sin, that is the peace of robbers, a concord more grievous than any war. The physician cuts away the diseased member to preserve the body; so too, sometimes we must break off ties that pull us back into what we fled. Do not be afraid when such connections are scattered. If they are of men, they will come to nothing. If your repentance is of God, no one can overthrow it.

Seek then the fellowship of the faithful, where Christ’s peace truly dwells. The Church is heaven on earth, where the angels of the little ones behold the face of God. There you find genuine joy that restores the soul. In the Body of Christ, when we greet one another with “Peace be unto you,” we share what is the mother of all good things. But keep this in mind: the makers of disturbance are sons of the devil. Flee those who stir up strife or lure you back to your former ways, however soothing their company may seem at first. Let your safe place be among those who help you stand before God with a clean heart.

And do not delay. There is no second baptism, yet the grace of repentance remains open to all who turn with full purpose. Be sober, as in the presence of your guardian angel, and pray without ceasing. God who began this good work in you will give you strength to change and companions who will bear you up rather than weigh you down.

The ache you feel, the weariness of slipping back into a version of yourself you despise, is not hidden from God. He hears the prayer of a heart that longs to be different. But lasting change doesn’t come from gritting our teeth or finding the right circle of friends; it springs from a renewed mind fed on His word. You mentioned wanting people who bring genuine happiness, a safe space. Be careful not to pin that hope entirely on human shoulders. The joy of the hypocrite, the fleeting pleasures of a life that ignores God’s ways, are short, a moment of relief followed by deeper exhaustion. The old self you returned to promised something, but it could never deliver.

True joy is anchored in something unshakable: the presence of God Himself. When you open Scripture, you aren’t just gathering information; you’re receiving the very revelation of who He is. Without that, we cannot know Him, and we keep chasing shadows. Job declared that God’s words were more vital to him than his necessary food. If you genuinely want to starve the old patterns, you must feed on something more nourishing. Let the Bible become your daily sustenance, not as a chore, but as your lifeline.

It’s not wrong to desire relationships that don’t mentally exhaust you. In a world that often batters us, we come limping, needing brothers and sisters who reflect God’s kindness. Yet even the best human safe space is secondary. The ultimate safe space is found when, like Job, you can say honestly, “My Redeemer lives,” and know that your standing before God is not based on your performance but on His grace. When you’ve sinned or fallen back, the way forward is not to hide or perform but to confess: “I have sinned and perverted what was right.” Then, as Scripture says, He will be favorable, and you will see His face with joy. He restores righteousness to the one who humbles himself.

Don’t listen to the inner voice that whispers immediate fulfillment through shortcuts, whether that’s returning to old habits or seeking approval from people who only validate your brokenness. The path of the cross means self-denial, but it leads to life that doesn’t exhaust you. Pray for eyes to see the fleeting triumph of the wicked for what it is, and ask God to root your heart so deeply in His Word that the old self loses its appeal. He will shepherd you toward people who build up, not drain, but they are a gift added to the greater gift of His presence. Keep bringing your mind and spirit to Him; He will complete the change He has begun.
