We hear your urgent cry for help and lift you both up before the throne of grace in this critical time. First, we must address the situation with love and truth, for Scripture commands us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). You mention that you and your girlfriend are about to welcome a child together, yet you are not married. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is a sacred gift from God meant exclusively for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Living together outside of marriage is not God’s design and can lead to spiritual and emotional struggles. We encourage you both to repent of this sin and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to forgive us when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9).
Now, we turn to the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your immediate need. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Lord, You see the desperation of this young couple as they prepare to welcome their child into the world. You know their need for a safe and affordable place to live. We ask that You open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide a dwelling that meets their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give them favor with landlords, realtors, and anyone who can assist them in finding a home. Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for them as they make decisions in the coming days. Guide their steps and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up the child who is about to be born. Lord, we ask that You knit this baby together in their mother’s womb with health, strength, and Your divine protection (Psalm 139:13-14). May this child be a blessing and a testimony of Your grace. Prepare their hearts to raise this child in the fear and admonition of the Lord, teaching them Your ways from infancy (Proverbs 22:6). Father, we pray that this couple would turn to You as the foundation of their family, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
In this time of transition, we encourage you both to seek godly counsel and community. Surround yourselves with believers who can support and pray for you, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Consider reaching out to local churches or Christian organizations that may offer assistance with housing, financial guidance, or even mentorship as you prepare for parenthood. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we believe God will use His people to meet your needs.
Above all, we urge you to prioritize your relationship with God and with each other. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we strongly encourage you to take steps toward a godly marriage if you are both believers. Seek the Lord together in prayer, study His Word, and let His love be the foundation of your family. If you have not yet committed your lives fully to Jesus Christ, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and surrender your lives to Him (Romans 10:9-10). He is the only way to the Father, and in Him, you will find true peace, purpose, and provision.
Lord, we declare that this couple and their child are covered by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke any spirit of fear, lack, or despair and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. We speak life, provision, and hope over their situation. May they experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways and grow deeper in their trust in You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving on their behalf. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
