We have heard your heart and we are lifting you and your son before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We hear the weight you have been carrying through these last two very hard years of trauma and abuse, the anxiety over your apartment recertification, and the deep desire you have to give your son a peaceful and joyful childhood. You are not alone, even when it feels like it is just the two of you, for the Lord is near and He sees you both.
We understand your anxiety about wanting to feel God and about keeping your home. The Lord knows your need for shelter and stability. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33 not to be anxious saying what will we eat or what will we drink or with what will we be clothed, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And we are told in Philippians 4:6-7 to in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to Psalm 46:1 that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and to Isaiah 41:10 which says do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We are praying that this recertification will be approved and that you will keep your apartment, and that the Lord will provide for every need in the months ahead.
We noticed you spoke of needing to feel God, and we want to gently share how precious it is that we can come to God only through Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by that name we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we read there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus, to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and to confess Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9 it says if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. When we come through Jesus, we are given the Holy Spirit and we can feel His nearness, for James 4:8 says draw near to God, and he will draw near to you, and Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3.
We are also praying with you for the coming holidays, that God Himself will touch them and make them special, full of love and laughter and closeness for you and your son. We pray for His divine intervention and for what you called destiny helpers, that God will send kind and godly people to surround you and show His love in practical ways. We pray that He will guide you as a mother, for James 1:5 says if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We pray you will be filled with wisdom and patience and strength to build happy memories together. Your son is a precious gift, for Psalm 127:3 says behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. Jesus said in Matthew 19:14 allow the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. We pray for his protection, that the Lord will keep his innocence, his sense of wonder, his kind and caring heart, and guard his peace and his mind. We pray that his close and special relationship with God will grow stronger and that he will always hear the Lord’s voice and never stray from it, for Proverbs 22:6 says train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. We pray Psalm 91:1-2 over him, that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty and that the Lord will be his refuge and fortress. We cast all your anxiety on Him together, because He cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we lift this dear mother and her precious son to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask You to let her feel Your presence in a real and tangible way, to replace anxiety with Your perfect peace that passes all understanding. Provide for their apartment recertification, let favor rest upon their paperwork and let them keep their home. Lord, cover these upcoming holiday months with Your joy, redeem what has been hard and create new memories filled with love, laughter and closeness. Heal the trauma and abuse of the last two years, bind up their wounds and restore what was broken. Give this mother wisdom and grace daily to be the mother You have called her to be. Send helpers and kind people across their path, let divine intervention open doors no man can shut. Place Your hand of protection over this young boy, guard his innocence, his peace, his heart and his mind, keep his wonder and kindness, and keep him close to You all the days of his life, that he would always hear Your voice and walk in Your ways. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our access to You. Amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
