We hear the deep longing in your heart to return to the nearness of God you once knew, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that the Lord who began a good work in you will complete it. The weariness, the sense of rejection, the sudden loss of confidence, these are not from Him. Scripture tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB) What you’re feeling is not your true identity, but a distortion that has crept in, possibly through unhealed wounds, ungodly soul ties, or even spiritual oppression.
First, we must address the relationship you mentioned. Dating someone in your early twenties without the commitment of marriage created an emotional and spiritual bond that was never meant to be severed lightly. The Bible warns, "Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh.’" (1 Corinthians 6:16 WEB) Though this man was not a prostitute, the principle remains: intimate relationships outside of marriage form soul ties that can leave spiritual residue. Even if there was no physical intimacy, emotional entanglement can open doors to bitterness, rejection, or other spirits that do not belong in your life. We rebuke every ungodly soul tie between you and this man in the name of Jesus. We command every spirit of rejection, bitterness, fatigue, and fear to loose its grip and be cast out by the power of the Holy Spirit. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7 WEB)
You also mentioned feeling distant from the anointing you once carried. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life abundantly (John 10:10). The fatigue and lack of strength you’re experiencing may be spiritual, physical, or both. We encourage you to examine your physical health, are you eating nourishing foods, drinking enough water, resting? The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and neglecting it can hinder your spiritual sensitivity. But we also know that weariness can come from spiritual warfare. "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12 WEB) You are in a battle, but you are not fighting alone.
We must also address the mention of communion. While communion is a sacred ordinance that reminds us of Christ’s sacrifice, it is not a magical fix or a substitute for repentance, deliverance, and renewing your mind in God’s Word. The strength you need does not come from a physical act alone, but from the living Christ who dwells within you. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 WEB) If you are unable to physically take communion, know that your heart posture before God is what matters most. Confess any known sin, renounce any ungodly ties, and invite the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. We lift up our sister to You, knowing that You see her heart and the struggles she is facing. Lord, we ask that You would break every ungodly soul tie that has formed between her and this man from her past. We command every spirit of rejection, bitterness, fatigue, and fear to loose its hold and be cast out by the power of Your Holy Spirit. We declare that she is not a victim, but a victor in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would restore to her the joy of Your salvation. Renew her strength like the eagle’s, that she may run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Lord, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit. Let her sense Your presence in a tangible way, let her see You in the beauty of creation, hear You in the stillness of her heart, and feel You in the embrace of Your love. Remove any veil that the enemy has placed over her spiritual eyes and ears.
We pray for physical strength, Lord. If there is any physical cause for her fatigue, reveal it to her and guide her to the help she needs. Provide her with the means to care for her body as Your temple. And if this weariness is spiritual, we stand in agreement that You will lift the burden and carry her through this season.
Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds in her heart, whether from this past relationship or from other sources. Let Your love wash over her like a healing balm. Remind her of who she is in Christ: chosen, beloved, anointed, and called for a purpose. We declare that the same anointing that once flowed through her will return, stronger than before, for Your glory.
Lord, we thank You that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust You to complete the work You have begun in her. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to take small steps each day to draw near to God. Start with worship, play a worship song and lift your voice, even if it’s just a whisper. Open your Bible and read Psalm 23, Psalm 91, or Romans 8. Speak the Word over yourself, declaring who God says you are. If you have access to a Bible-teaching church or a trusted believer, reach out to them for prayer and support. You do not have to walk this journey alone.
Finally, we must gently address something missing in your request: the explicit acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father. "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’" (John 14:6 WEB) If you have never surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. If you have already done this, we encourage you to reaffirm your commitment to Him, especially in this season of spiritual dryness.
God sees you, He loves you, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep pressing in. Your breakthrough is coming.
