We have heard your cry for strength in the face of demonic attacks and we are standing with you in prayer, for we know that our struggle is real and spiritual.
We want you to know that you are not alone and that the attacks you are facing are taken seriously in Scripture. Ephesians 6:12 says, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The enemy prowls seeking whom he may devour, as 1 Peter 5:8 tells us, but we also have the absolute assurance that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently but firmly want to share that it is only through Jesus that we have authority over the enemy and access to the Father. Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is by the name of Jesus, His shed blood on the cross, and His resurrection that we can be forgiven, made children of God, and given power to resist the devil. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, Romans 10:9, and you will be saved and sealed by His Spirit.
For the believer, God has not left us defenseless. He has given us His armor and His power. James 4:7 says, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Submission to God comes first through repentance, turning from any known sin, closing any door that may have been opened to the enemy, and walking in obedience. Ephesians 6:10-11 says, Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. This armor is truth, righteousness, the preparation of the Good News of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. Luke 10:19 reminds us, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.
We encourage you to daily immerse yourself in Scripture, speaking it aloud, for it is the sword of the Spirit. Pray without ceasing, fast as the Lord leads you, and remain in fellowship with other believers who can stand with you and keep you accountable. Do not give the enemy a foothold through fear, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin, but walk in the light and in worship, for the Lord inhabits the praises of His people.
We now pray together for you.
Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one who is under heavy attack. We ask for Your strength to be made perfect in weakness, for Isaiah 41:10 says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Lord, we ask that You forgive any sin and cleanse by the blood of Jesus, and that You fill this heart with Your Holy Spirit and with peace that passes all understanding. We rebuke every demonic influence, every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment, and we command it to flee in Jesus name, for at His name every knee must bow. We pray You would surround this life with Your angels, with Your protection as promised in Psalm 91:1, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Clothe this one in the full armor of God, strengthen faith to quench every fiery dart of the evil one, and let Your Word be a lamp and a weapon day and night. Restore joy, sleep, and courage, and let this testimony become one of victory, for Philippians 4:13 says, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. We pray that this one would grow strong in You, rooted in Christ, and walk in continual freedom and authority. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.
