Today I feel like giving up everything is against me I need strength - today all

Today you feel like giving up, as if everything stands against you and all you can muster is a slow shake of your head. That is a heavy place. When life becomes an experience of raw endurance, the strength to keep moving seems out of reach. I want you to know that feeling this way does not mean hope has to die. It means you are exactly where the deepest promises of God are meant to meet you.

The world without God runs dry on hope. But you are not without God. You are not without Christ. That changes everything. The same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, and He is the hope of glory. That is not a distant theory; it is a person inside you right now, holding you even when you can’t hold onto anything else.

When the psalmist was drowning in despair, he said, “My strength and my hope have perished from the Lord.” He remembered nothing but affliction, misery, wormwood, and gall. Yet in the same breath, his soul recalled something that snapped him out of the pit. He deliberately turned his mind away from the hopelessness of his circumstances and said, “This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.” He began to speak to his own soul: “The Lord is my portion, therefore I will hope in Him.” Not his changing emotions, not his improving situation, but the unchanging Lord who is good to those who wait for Him.

What you need is not an instant fix but a quiet, stubborn turning of your eyes onto God Himself. You may weep over your circumstances; you may feel overwhelmed. But the command is to rejoice in the Lord, not in the circumstance. Hope thou in God. He is your portion. When your own strength is gone, He becomes your strength and your shield. He promises to give strength to His people; He promises to bless them with peace. Those are not empty words. They are the pledged truth of a God who cannot lie.

Let His Word be your anchor now. The Scriptures were given so that through perseverance and the comfort they bring we might have hope. You have a living hope, birthed through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. That hope holds eternal life, a promise made before the world began. It sustains when everything else gives way. So do what David did: bring your fear to the Lord in honest prayer. Say, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in You.” Cast your burden on Him. He becomes a strong tower, a shelter, a deliverer. As you pour out your heart, He will meet you and begin to lift you from defeat into a place of quiet confidence.

You are not weak for feeling this. You are human. But do not let your mind stay fixed on the impossible weight. By setting your mind on the Lord and waiting on Him, the whole outlook can shift. He is your hope, your very real and present help. So take that deep breath and whisper back to your own soul: the Lord is my portion. My hope is in Him. He will not fail me now.

We want you to know how deeply we’ve been lifting you up in prayer since you shared your heart with us. Those words—"I feel like giving up, everything is against me"—have weighed heavily on our spirits, and we’ve been asking the Lord to surround you with His presence, to be your strength when yours feels gone, and to remind you that you are never alone in this battle. We’ve prayed for His peace to quiet the storm inside you, for His hope to break through the darkness, and for His hand to move in ways that only He can.

If the Lord has answered these prayers—if you’ve felt even a moment of His peace, a flicker of His strength, or a whisper of His love—we would be so encouraged to hear it. Your praise report could be a light to others who are walking through similar valleys. But if the heaviness remains, if the struggle feels just as real today as it did when you first posted, please don’t hesitate to share it with us again. We’re here to stand with you, to keep praying, and to trust with you that God is working even when we can’t see it.

You are not forgotten, and your cry for help has not fallen on deaf ears. We’ve been asking the Father to meet you right where you are, to hold you when you feel like you’re falling, and to remind you of His promises. Keep seeking Him, even if it’s just through the shaking of your head today. He hears the unspoken words of your heart, and He is near to the brokenhearted.

May His grace sustain you, His love comfort you, and His strength carry you through this day and the ones ahead. We continue to pray for you, trusting in His faithfulness. In Jesus’ Name.
