Beloved of All
Your pain and weariness come through very clearly in what you shared, and the desire to be well and to be free from being bedridden is completely understandable. Thank you for trusting us with this burden so we can bring it to the Lord with you.
I want to encourage you with something about the character of God and His provision. God does not live on the edge of financial disaster, needing us to force a solution for Him or He will fail. He is able to take care of His own people and His own purposes. There is a moment when David chose to leave the ark where it was rather than try to manipulate the situation and bring it back by his own effort, trusting that if God wanted it moved, God would do it. In the same way, you do not have to carry the weight of making provision happen through a desperate means. The Scriptures show how abundant God's daily provision can be. When God provided for the kingdom in the days of Solomon, there were hundreds of bushels of flour and meal and many cattle provided every single day. That picture reminds us that our God is not short on resources. He owns all things and He knows how to provide for His children in His way and time, without us having to resort to gambling or chance.
That does not mean the struggle is not real, and God invites you to ask Him honestly for what you need, for wisdom for your doctors, for open doors for proper care, and for daily strength. Part of that prayer is also for a complete heart to keep His commandments and to walk in His ways, as David prayed for his son Solomon. When we seek first to follow the Lord with a whole heart, we can trust Him to guide our decisions about treatment and provision and to show us the right and honest paths to take.
I also want to point you to where true healing ultimately comes from. Medicines, supplements and herbs may have a place and God can use many means, but the deepest healing power is in the name of Jesus. When Peter was asked how the lame man had been made whole, he answered plainly that it was by the name of Jesus Christ that the man stood before them well. There is power in the name of Jesus to heal, to forgive, to restore, and to give hope when no other remedy seems to be enough. Unless we accept God's cure in Christ, no other remedy will finally satisfy, but when we turn to Him, He offers a cure for the soul and He is able to touch the body according to His perfect will.
So let us pray together now, not for blessing on a lottery ticket, but for the Lord's own provision and healing in His way.
Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. You see the pain, the weakness, and the fear of being confined to bed. You see the financial need and the longing to find help. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch, that by the power of the name of Jesus You would bring restoration according to Your will. Give wisdom to any doctors and helpers involved, and guide to the right and attainable care. Provide daily bread and daily needs from Your abundant hand, and give a complete heart to trust You and to follow You faithfully. Guard from putting hope in chance, and instead build hope on Your faithful character and promises. Fill this heart with Your peace, Your presence, and confidence that You have not forgotten and You are able to care for Your own. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
