My prayer requests are: I found out someone paid my rent surprised me and I got money order for what I owe. It clearly shows no refund on money order. Please pray somehow I get that ### back. I'm on SSI so it's hard to come by. My survival. Also city I live and state is in alot financial issues. Please pray I will get way to move where my sister is and apt her complex. Thank you, ###

We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand how heavy this feels when you are on SSI and every dollar is part of your survival, and to have paid rent with a money order only to discover the rent had already been paid for you is a difficult and stressful situation. We also hear your longing to move closer to your sister and to find stability while the city and state where you live are facing financial hardship.

We want to gently share something important with you as we pray. Your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want you to know that it is only through Him that we have access to God and the assurance of salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by trusting in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are forgiven and brought near to God, and it is in His name we pray with confidence.

We bring your financial need before our Father who promises to provide. Philippians 4:19 says, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33 says, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Psalm 37:25 says, I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.

We pray together, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see the money order that cannot be refunded and the need for those funds to live. You know the heart of the landlord or management and the policies involved. We ask for Your favor and for a way where there seems to be no way, that if it is Your will, this money would be returned or credited in a way that helps sustain Your child. Give wisdom and clear direction on what steps to take, and provide godly counsel and help through the rental office, the money order company, and any community resources. We pray for honesty and integrity to mark every conversation, and for peace that surpasses understanding while waiting for Your answer. We also lift up the financial struggles of this city and state, asking You to guide its leaders and provide for its people. And we pray for the desire to move near family, that You would open the right door at the right time for housing near the sister, in a safe and affordable place, according to Your perfect timing. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Lead each step and make the path clear. We trust You for provision, guidance, and hope, for You have plans for good as Jeremiah 29:11 declares. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord as your provider and to take practical steps as well. Keep the money order receipt and any proof that the rent was already paid, speak calmly and respectfully with the rental office to ask if the payment can be applied as a credit to next month or if they have a process for this kind of overpayment, and contact the money order issuer to ask about their options even when it says no refund. If needed, seek help from a local legal aid office, social services, or a trusted advocate who helps those on fixed incomes, as they may know of resources to help you navigate this. Continue to pray and seek first His Kingdom, and ask the Lord to guide you about the move, including waiting on His timing, saving what you can, and having your sister help you learn about availability and requirements at her complex. God sees your survival needs and your desire for community near family, and He is faithful. We are praying with you for restoration of what was lost and for God's clear provision and direction in the days ahead.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We hear how heavy this is, especially on SSI where every dollar matters for survival. To learn someone covered your rent and then be left holding a nonrefundable money order you had already purchased would feel overwhelming, and we understand why getting those funds back feels so urgent.

We also hear your hope to move nearer your sister to an apartment in her complex, especially while your city and state are under financial strain. Longing for family nearby and more stability is completely understandable.

One practical step that may help is to keep your money order receipt, stub and any paperwork together in one place, and contact the money order company's customer service soon to ask about their process. It can also help to talk with your rental office in writing so there is a clear record of what was paid, what was covered by the other payment, and what they advise. Having that documentation makes it easier for someone to assist you.

For both the immediate rent question and the longer hope to move, a local community resource like a church benevolence office, Salvation Army, or nonprofit financial counseling agency can often sit with you at no cost to review budgeting on a fixed income and walk through housing applications and waiting lists for your sister's complex.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the financial pressure and the need for daily provision, and You know the desire to be near family. Give wisdom in each conversation, open the right next steps for housing, and grant peace and steady provision in the days ahead. Amen.

Your request has been brought before us and we have carried it to the throne of grace on your behalf. We understand the weight of this burden, to live on SSI where every dollar is measured for survival, to have secured a money order for rent in good faith and then to learn the rent was already paid by another hand, and now to face the distress of that no refund mark upon the money order. We also hear your longing to leave a city and state that is pressed with financial troubles and to find a home near your sister.

Take comfort that you may come boldly to God in prayer through our Lord Jesus Christ. The veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom, not by the hand of man but by the act of God alone, and rent from top to bottom so that the greatest sinners might have ample passage. Because that one and only separator is destroyed, you have access to the Father through the blood of Christ, and He hears the cries of His children concerning their daily bread. He who did this great thing for your soul will not be unmindful of your temporal needs.

We have prayed for you in this way, that the Lord who knows your poverty and your dependence would show you mercy and make a way where there seems to be no way. We have asked that if it be His will, He would move upon those who hold the money order and the rent to grant a refund or to apply the funds with kindness, and that He would give you wisdom and favor as you inquire of the issuer and the landlord. We have asked that He would provide for your daily survival from His own bounty, for all things are yours in Christ, and that He would open a door in His providence for you to move near your sister if that is for your good and His glory. We have prayed also that He would give you peace in the waiting and keep you from anxiety, and that your family affection may be nurtured in the Lord.

Continue to seek Him in private prayer and in His Word, and to trust the covenant keeping God who preserved Noah and his family and who still sets His people in families. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and leave the matter of the city and the provision for the future apartment in His wise hands, who does all things well. May the Lord supply your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus and guide your steps with a clear path.
