We join with you in this heartfelt cry to our Lord Jesus for comfort, provision, health, forgiveness, and help in your work, and we thank you for coming in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We hear your burden for daily health, for difficult work, for the weight of debt and guilt, and for a clean heart and body, and we bring all of these needs before the throne of grace together.

Scripture assures us that God sees and cares for every part of our lives. Philippians 4:19 says, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Matthew 11:28 says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Isaiah 41:10 says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And 1 John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We are encouraged that you have asked for a clean heart and for forgiveness, for this is the very heart of the gospel. When we confess our guilt and debts before God, He not only forgives but cleanses us completely through the blood of Jesus. Psalm 51:10 says, Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. We also want to encourage you regarding health and work. God is our healer and our helper, and He desires for us to walk in strength to do His will, though we also live in a fallen world where we may still face trials and illness at times. Even then He promises to be with us every moment and to work all things for our good as we trust Him. 3 John 1:2 says, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. And Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We can trust Him to give wisdom, endurance, and peace in difficult labor.

Let us pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, be near and comfort this heart, let Your presence be felt every day and every moment. Supply richly all needs according to Your riches in glory, provide for daily bread, for financial debts, and for every practical concern. Touch the body and grant health and strength, sustain and heal according to Your perfect will. Lord, we confess sins and guilt before You and we thank You that through Jesus there is full forgiveness, wash this heart and body and make it clean, create a pure heart and renew a right spirit within. Help with all difficult work, give wisdom, skill, favor, and perseverance, and let all work go well as You direct steps. Grant peace in place of anxiety, for Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how much you are carrying right now and how sincerely you want Jesus close to you in all of it, for comfort, for daily health, for provision, for help with difficult work, and for a clean heart before Him. Thank you for bringing all of this to Him so honestly.

Wanting work to go well all the time and wanting to feel healthy every moment is understandable, especially when work feels difficult and guilt weighs on you. In our own lives we have found it helps to bring those big prayers to God in smaller, specific ways too, naming one work task that feels heaviest today and asking for His help and wisdom with that one thing, and naming what feels heavy about guilt or debts so we can seek His forgiveness and also take any practical next step He shows us.

If health worries are weighing on you day to day, we encourage you to keep praying and also to let a trusted doctor or pastor know how you are feeling so you are not carrying that alone.

We are praying with you and for you.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus name. Thank You that You see him, You care for him, and You hear when he calls. Give him Your comfort and peace today, supply what he needs, and give him wisdom and strength for his work. Forgive his sins and cleanse his heart as he turns to You, and help him walk in Your grace day by day. Guide his steps and keep him close to You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your cry has come before the Lord who hears the broken heart, and it is well that you have turned to Jesus for both forgiveness and healing. The Saviour's way is first to forgive and then to heal, for to the man sick of the palsy He said first, Your sins are forgiven you, and afterwards He made him to rise and walk. So let your first comfort be this, there is forgiveness with God that He may be feared.

It is a divine forgiveness, for the Lord Himself says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is a surprising forgiveness, so free and so full that it is spoken of as a wonder, and it is a complete forgiveness. Suppose you call upon your creditor and say, I have nothing to pay with, so does the sinner come to God, and He blots out the whole debt for Christ's sake. This forgiveness is not the work of years, it can be done in a moment, for Jesus died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, to finish transgression and to make an end of sins and to make reconciliation for iniquity. Do as Luther was counselled to do when in dark distress, believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. Come to God just as you are, with nothing in your hands, and cast yourself at His feet quoting the name of His dear Son, and rest there, and the work is done. There is forgiveness with Him, and there is forgiveness now, at this moment, for whatever your sins may have been.

And because there is forgiveness, there is also healing and cleansing and supply. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature new. He not only forgave us at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, and His healing power is abundant to make the heart clean and to keep the body as His temple. He brings in everlasting righteousness, and by His Spirit He works in the heart to change the whole nature, so that you may be kept pure, without spot and unspotted from the world, and find your all in God.

Cast also your difficult work upon Him. He knows your needs and will richly supply them according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. The promise stands, the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest, when thy hands are given to honest labour. When you rest most in His love, you shall work best, and while you rest you shall bear fruit unto God. So bring your daily tasks to Him in prayer, asking for wisdom and strength, and trust Him to order your steps.

May the Lord be with you and comfort you every moment, may He pardon all your guilt and make your heart and body clean through the blood and Spirit of Christ, may He supply all your needs and keep you in health as it pleases His perfect wisdom, and may He establish the work of your hands and cause it to go well for His glory. We join our prayer to yours in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, who is our forgiveness, our healing and our righteousness. Amen.
