We join with you in this cry for complete deliverance and victory in Jesus Christ, and we stand together in agreement that our Lord has triumphed over every work of the devil and Satan.

We rejoice that what you are praying aligns with the truth of Scripture. The Word tells us that the Son of God was revealed for this very purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8. We know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12, yet we do not fear because Christ has disarmed them through the cross and His resurrection.

We also take comfort that though the enemy still prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8, he is a defeated foe whose final end is already determined, for the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur Revelation 20:10. Until that final day, we have been given authority in the name of Jesus to resist him, and the promise is that when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7. The Lord has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way hurt us Luke 10:19.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that by His blood we have victory, for they overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony Revelation 12:11. Lord Jesus, we ask that You completely put an end to all the works of the devil and Satan in this life, whether direct, indirect, or through any connection or influence whatsoever. Silence the mouth of the accuser and liar, for he is a liar and the father of lies John 8:44, and let every tongue that rises against us in judgment be condemned Isaiah 54:17. We ask You to halt and render powerless every plan, scheme, and trap of the enemy, and to bind the strong man so that his works cannot be carried out Matthew 12:29. We declare in Your name that no weapon that is formed against us will prevail Isaiah 54:17. Fill this heart and life with Your peace, Your protection, and Your Holy Spirit, and let the weapons of our warfare, which are not of the flesh but mighty through God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4, demolish every argument and proud obstacle that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We submit ourselves fully to You, Lord, and we resist the devil together, trusting he must flee. Let Your will be done and Your kingdom reign forever without interruption. We ask this in the name above every name, Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm, clothed in the full armor of God, with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God Ephesians 6:14-17. Remain in prayer, remain in the Word, and remain in fellowship with Christ daily, for it is by abiding in Him that we walk in His ongoing victory.

May God uplift you and give you hope and sownthing to look forward to and we believe in the promises of the Lord. He is the one who has the power, and as we walk with Him day by day, we learn to trust His presence and His will more deeply. Your prayer against the adversary is one which the Word of God itself teaches us to pray, for Christ came to destroy the works of the devil and to deliver those who are under bondage to him.

We know how ferocious the tempter can be, for Satan will not lose his subjects if he can help it and he contends with great vigor for every soul. He blinds the eyes of men, he lays snares for the saints, and he considers with cunning how he may wound us and spoil our usefulness. Yet we give thanks to our God through Jesus Christ, who has been pleased to give us the victory. By His sufferings Christ has overthrown Satan, by the heel that was bruised He has trodden upon the head which devised the bruising, and by His resurrection He has broken the power of the grave. Satan, who loves death and abides among the tombs, is bound to flee before spiritual life, and when the Lord sees one of His poor children dragged about and wounded He says, Get thee hence, Satan, and the adversary must depart.

Christ is stronger than Satan and He holds His people with a divine grip which the devil and all his hosts cannot relax. The devil is undermining and thinks to blow up God's building, but all the while God is undermining him and will blow up Satan's mine before he can do any mischief, till at last he shall be cast into the lake of fire.

We join you now in prayer to our conquering Lord.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou great Conqueror of Satan, we beseech Thee to rebuke the adversary on behalf of this soul who cries to Thee. Put an end to all the works of the devil, silence his lying mouth, and halt every plan he has formed, whether direct or indirect or by any connection or influence whatsoever. Bind Satan and restrain him, that he be rendered unable to carry out his work, and let him flee before Thy word, Get thee hence. Keep this one by Thy power, cover him with Thy blood, and let Thy Holy Spirit dwell in every chamber of his heart, that Satan find no place there. We ask this not by our own strength, but by faith in Thee who saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven and who alone can save from the castings down of the enemy. Grant deliverance, peace, and steadfastness to walk in Thy light.

We join you in this prayer and hear your desire for Christ to have complete victory over the devil in your life.

Jesus Christ is indeed mightier, and He is light and life and truth. On the cross He accomplished for us what we could not do for ourselves, deliverance from the curse and promotion to sonship, so that through Him we receive adoption and the Spirit. The Scripture teaches that the Lord delivered His servant from the lion's mouth and will deliver from every evil work, not allowing His own to depart with condemnation when they resist sin even unto blood. That is the greater deliverance, to be kept from yielding to the devil, who is called a lion for his ferocity.

At the same time the apostle reminds us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, the spirits of the air under the operation of the enemy. His kingdom is of this present age and will cease with this age, but it has not yet fully ceased. God permits the struggle for a time, so that we may be crowned, and it is ours to hold fast the gift when it is given. The washing of regeneration will not alone save us unless after it we display a life worthy of the gift and guard this treasure, using all ways and plans so that the righteousness which Christ fulfilled may abide in us and not come to nothing.

For this reason the enemy most often assails when he finds a person alone and apart, as he did in the beginning. We have great need to flock together continually, to abide away from the company of evil persons and from evil communications which corrupt good manners, and to be formed at a distance from temptation, remembering that God Himself is the cause of all blessing and fruit in our lives.

We pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask You to deliver this Your servant from every evil work of the devil, whether direct or indirect. Silence the accusing mouth of the enemy, frustrate his plans and his influence, and guard this life by Your power. As You delivered from the lion's mouth, so deliver now from the lion who still prowls, and keep this Your child from yielding to sin. Grant strength to resist, grace to walk in obedience, and fellowship with Your people so as not to stand alone in the trial.
