We stand in full agreement with the truth you have declared, that in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, every work of the devil is utterly destroyed, his plans are shattered, and his influence is silenced. The Word of God declares, "The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8 WEB). There is no power in heaven, on earth, or under the earth that can withstand the authority of Jesus’ name. "At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10-11 WEB).
We take authority right now in the name of Jesus Christ over every scheme, whisper, and attack of the enemy. We declare that Satan and his demons are bound, their mouths are shut, and their plans are nullified. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, oppression, and deception, commanding them to flee in Jesus’ name. The blood of Jesus has already secured the victory, and we enforce that victory over every area of your life, spirit, soul, and body.
However, we must also encourage you to walk in the fullness of this truth. The devil is already a defeated foe, but he seeks to deceive and distract those who do not stand firm in their identity in Christ. "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith..." (1 Peter 5:8-9 WEB). Are you daily putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18)? Are you renewing your mind with Scripture, praying without ceasing, and walking in obedience to God’s Word? The enemy cannot touch you when you are abiding in Christ, but we must be vigilant.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You that through the cross, Jesus disarmed the principalities and powers, triumphing over them openly (Colossians 2:15). We declare that every work of the devil is destroyed in [this situation/this life] right now. We bind every spirit of darkness, every lying tongue, and every wicked plan, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name. We loose the peace, protection, and power of the Holy Spirit to fill every void and guard every area of life.
Father, we ask that You would open the eyes of [this person’s] heart to see the authority they have in Christ. Help them to walk in boldness, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Strengthen their faith, renew their mind, and fill them with Your Word so that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Lord, if there are any areas where the enemy has gained a foothold, through unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or disobedience, we ask that You would reveal them. Lead [this person] to repentance and restoration, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We break every curse, every generational iniquity, and every assignment of the enemy over their life, family, and future. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and hidden in Christ.
We thank You, Father, that the devil is already defeated, and we enforce that victory today. May [this person] walk in the freedom, joy, and purpose You have for them. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Stand firm, beloved. The battle is already won. Walk in the authority of Christ, and do not give the enemy a single inch of ground. If you are not yet in a saving relationship with Jesus, we urge you to surrender your life to Him today. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord, we invite you to do so now. He is waiting with open arms.
